- It’s complicated guys, just like every other relationship but we’re working on it and I hope we can figure it out and the plan that we have for Eve sounds solid as long everything arrives in time, including myself on the motorcycle in Mumbai! I knew sooner or later I was gonna need help because nobody but the manufacturer knows about this bike and I’m absolutely screwed if something goes wrong. It’s gonna be a long ride today, also a little bit of sightseeing (that statue is huge) and I won’t make it to Mumbai in one day I’m afraid. Boy this massive city is truly something else.

Hell Yeah 💪🏽 Go for the Royal Enfield 650 or Himalayan or something Strong, but on a serious note no one here in India had heard of Zero Motorbike until you started promoting the good & bad eve had to offer, this year they're launching in India in partnership with Hero Motors, so you gave them Free Promotion 👏 They should sponsor you.

@@MarcTravels Eating healthy and feeling safe where you drive, play, and sleep is life's top priority #1 which is super tricky requiring lots of research, observing, and discovering. Thailand probably has the most healthiest cuisine and the best small business restaurants in all the world. You're gonna love it when you get there. You'll have the transport the bike over water for Myanmar and China are a no go now. My coolest experience was a 2 week trip to Myanmar in 2010. I wish you could go see The Golden Land.

There are other EV motorcycles out there now even since he started. At the moment I wouldn't buy a Zero based on how they treated this customer (Marc) so far.

KTM will still be banging their heads on the table today that they didn't provide McEwan and Boorman with motorcycles. BMW couldn't have wished for better advertising. . .
I’m not a fan of electric cars and bikes, but I would love to see you complete the journey with Eve. You are doing a great job of promoting Zero. I actually went to the nearest dealer recently to check them out. The fact that your bike doesn’t need oil changes, valves adjusted, etc. is intriguing.

Man that's awesome news! I'm so glad Zero is helping you out. I mean, 60k+ people are watching now. They need all the PR help they can get! There isn't any way of updating firmware in NZ yet but I have a friend who can work on these bikes. He's setting up an electric motorcycle shop here, so you'll be ok when you get here!

As of today Zero has announced their partnership with hero motocorp wherein they'll co-develope a brand new platform for their upcoming 4 bikes in India. They plan to launch 2 of them by next year. Glad to see them finally supporting you 🫡

Marc get mosquito coils (you can get in any grocery shops) & a air tight plastic container/small plastic lunch box/tiffin box (to keep it & carry in your journey; also helps the coils from breakage/getting wet). Burn it as needed to prevent mosquitoes bites. Be careful of malaria, dengue. Ride safe.
Or buy an Odomos cream/stickers.

As a guy who did some sport bike touring I would advise you not to underestimate the knee problem. Do frequent stops to exercise them, stretch them one after the other regularly while riding, use hot baths and oinments for them at night. If you hands, back and riding position allow, you can fit firm insert on the saddle, sitting higher for lesser knees joint angle. Stay safe 😊
That is so true. I ride a 1200GS and even with that bike, every cm of saddle height helps with the knee pain.

Seems very short sighted of Zero. KTM made the mistake of not supporting Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boardman on their around the world adventure. The BMW GS they used, then became and still is, one of the biggest selling adventure bikes, ever. Zero take note 🤔

It's quite obvious that from the marketing point of view, Zero should provide you with their proper adventure bike as Royal Enfield did with Noraly!

I own 2022 Zero S, 4600 miles on it. It's a fantastic bike and overlooked by pretty much everyone else. I love the lightweight but there's no support for it after the fact and that's disappointing. The DSRX looks awesome, but the support on my current motorcycle makes me question whether I would buy another Zero. It's great to hear that's coming around. They are wonderful motorcycles.

Have you considered a gel pack for the saddle? Also people put a set of foot pegs forward on the frame so you can stretch your legs. At your height and on a sports bike you really need this!

Zero to be honestly is performing quite decent. Quite a good range it has, it’s fast enough and showed its off roading capabilities too.
I will be waiting to see what happened with the charging unit. Did they fix it or not. If they didn’t then mark should probably think about buying a gas powered bike. Or probably get in touch with some of the brands in India. Am pretty sure they will be happy to give away a bike and some sponsorship too.
I guess that Mark should be around eastern India as of today or maybe already crossed over border.
I would continue to follow your adventure whatever you are riding Marc. Hope you travel through Thailand.

A suggestion: It would be super interesting to tailor and customize the bike to your size and dimensions. For example with adjustable footrests, handlebars, risers and so on. This would also be good for your body's health and posture...

Thanks Marc, another great video. I know-that I would not be any good in the crazy traffic that you’ve going through. Couldn’t handle the no traffic rules . We see that with a lot of Indian drivers here in Australia until they learn that here we have rules and you have to obey them or pay huge fines. Once they understand that concept they usually become good drivers. Money talkes Eh !! . A good friend once told me it’s not the problems you have that brings you down, it’s how you solve them that lifts you back up. And you ARE a problem solver. Good work mate and good luck 👍

Marc, about your body pains on the bike....you need what they call here in the USA a 'Seat shave'. A good bike shop will take your seat and shave and shape and pad your seat for long term comfort. Look into that!

Looking at the hassels of electric bike charging stations, one must opt for petrol vehicle. In India it would take some more time, may be more 5 years to get more charging stations comfortably.

Good to hear that Zero Corporate are starting to come around to giving you some support rather than the cold shoulder. Maybe they are now coming around to seeing what a sales pitch you are making with your videos. No kudos from me yet though. Based on what you have said of the lack of support till now I have decided that they would not be a company I would [want to] support. I did send them some feedback some time on this lack of support, and of course they never acknowledged it (and I did not expect them to). But kudos to the engineer who will be meeting you in Mumbai while there on vacation, to assist with fixing the charging issue.
Let’s see how it all pans out 🙌🏼 but yeah it’s definitely good to have someone to talk to if shit hits the fan. There’s no dealers anywhere near me until Indonesia 😅
U missed out by not going inside statue, there's cool high-tech lashed museum beneath it & u can go all the way to the top inside the statue & have a great view, there's also helicopter ride & water boating on two types boat (double decker & mono hull) in narmada river beside statue that for 45minutes take u on ride to dam, several hills, beautiful sites & views of nature.
My DSRX arrives in couple of weeks can't wait.

Doing this on EV or Car or any other vehicle comes secondary. It hardly bothers your viewer. But that certainly does to ZERO Motorcycles. The least they could do is ensure that it runs without any issues and see if they could refund the entire cost. Considering you are free brand ambassador. Cheers mate 🎉
Hey @Mark , Good going buddy, you are changing the angle of view about touring on an EV bike. It's really cool to see that and you are proving that EV does have the capability to be a tourer machine.
Luckily TATA has started opening EV charging stations all over India recently and it's a massive country to build this network for a single company. There are other companies who make ev bikes like Ather, OLA, Ultraviolett and they have their own charging network, but I doubt they only provide charging to their specific bikes only. But I hope in a couple of years things will be different and ev charging stations will be available as more as normal fuel stations.

I feel like your optimism and doing what you're doing on an EV is really unique and a major differentiating factor for your vids, and if you go with the RE it will kinda make the content same to other vids, so you should continue it on EVE for now and you definitely deserve the sponsorship from zero for how much you have marketed their brand infact should send you one of their adventure bike for you further journey.....really loving the vlogs and your way to present the content.....and don't forget to take care of your mental as well as physical health.......❤❤❤
The bike manufacturer Zero should make you a ambassador of the brand. Considering you have put thousands of miles on the bike you "own" not gifted or loaned. The DSR/X dual sport does look a more suited motorcycle for your needs, and looks stunning in my opinion.
The brand should be giving you some sort of kickbacks for all this promotional work & technical feedback

if you have a flu, just pop in a paracetamol tablet (you can get one at any medical store in India, and it's not expensive), and get a good night's sleep...when u wake up the next day, you'll forget you even had a flu.

If governments want EVs to really take off they need to ban all these individual apps. Why can't the suppliers just have a contactless card reader on each charger and list the prices just like a petrol station. Ride up, use your debit / credit card ....job done ✔️

Marc, I suspect your knee pain may not be so serious. Sitting down, feel the lower edge of the knee cap. Then follow a horizontal line to the outer side of your knee and you'll find a bony lump. This is the head of the fibula. Place your finger and thumb at the front and back of that fibula head lump. Then slowly and gently swing your lower leg forwards and backwards so that your foot moves about 30 cm each way. Gently push the fibula head forwards as your leg goes forward and back as your leg goes back. Do that for a couple of gentle leg swings and it should ease the problem. When you can, get to see a physiotherapist, osteopath or chiropractor. Cheers.

I don't like this electric line, but the journey is interesting, so I follow it. If you were to come back with a Himalayan or something else and the petrol would roar under you again, like the Honda did (except with the clinking :D ), I would be able to get into a much better mood and be in a flow with the videos. I think you should shift to the new himalayan or something else in the adventure tourer category. Would really ease your trip and you can visit places you cannot with convenience on an electric bike like ladakh, kashmir or the north east. Ev’s are sure to be hectic and draining mentally as well as physically.

Go for the super meteor 650 or the new himalayan... Would be fun to watch and also more reasonable for you... Dont get me wrong... I know charging is cheaper than petrol and ev makes more sense with your plan but you gotta compromise on some thing... Either money or time... Anyway cant wait to see your Goa experience... Ah the Mumbai madness, one off only two city's i have visited and decided it was safer to let the locals do the driving, tuctuc hired while there for three weeks some 15 years ago, wow im getting old.
