Thanks Dave, brilliant way to spend an hour. Herve has always been a favourite of mine and we won't go wrong listening to and taking in his advice and experiences. What a wonderful man
The great thing with Herve is that you don't have to prepare an interview, you just say 'Hello Herve' to him and an hour later you've got an excellent interview! It's people like Herve who are the absolute bedrock of bike racing - I think all the people in the paddock and all fans were (almost) as happy as him when Tech3 got their wins. How about a chat with Guy Coulon?
I found myself so engrossed in what he was saying I forgot I was the host and not just there to listen 😁 he’s the perfect guest, it was a chat where you don’t really need to hear from me too much 🙏🏼
@@OffTrack_Podcast Agreed, I thought that it was an excellent interview because you just let it flow naturally and let Herve's charm and experience do the work. Now if you can get an equally chilled and engaging interview with Alberto Puig then you will have truly arrived!
@@ChristianTiburtius I know just the man to fix that one 😉 I work hard on the fact that there’s a time to talk during a chat and a time to just listen, and that’s regardless of the guest but this one worked out particularly well 🙏🏼
Aww, absolute gent as always, he hasn't changed one bit from when I was privileged to spend a weekend with him at Donington in 1988. He really enjoyed the interview, and it's great to see his support for what you and Jen are doing with Off Track..fantastic!!!!
Thanks so much, Phil and thank you for your help in finding the connection with him - as you know he was so happy to see the photos. What a man, probably one of my favourite humans now - his view on life is just perfect 😊
WOW, I don't know how you're going to top that Dave n Jen, that has to be the least you've ever said lol, yet again an insight into the man behind the extra special job he does, loved the bit about passion being an addiction, very much why I marshal, and the full gas in your 20's then now in my 60's I'm rolling the throttle (just a smidge) 😂 I'm so lucky to have had time to watch this, what a brilliant man he is.
Look at you joining the club 😍 thanks Ian! So glad you enjoyed the chat, he’s an incredibly gentle man with a real love for people and life 😊 as I’ve always said, the less people hear from me the better the guest 😋
Great chat Dave 😊 whenever he gets interviewed on tv I always listen and enjoy his insights for 5 mins, so an hr to find out what really makes him tick and the passion he has is brilliant listening. Really good to see you guys in the motogp paddock, hopefully it will give you the exposure you've worked so hard to get and open the door to more opportunities 😊
Thanks so much, Steve 🙏🏼 it would be good if it gives a foot in the door, we just need to raise sponsorship to get out there again now 🙂 he’s a great man and I look forward to talking to him again another time 🙏🏼🇫🇷
Knew I'd like him just from those little glances he gives the camera. Great interviewer too, kept the questions simple and then listened, so refreshing. You're now on my regular podcast downloads.
Great interview with a wonderful guy Herve has a fantastic outlook and is fantastic team manager super well done guys for a really good talk to one of the paddocks best people and it's gonna be so interesting to see how things unfold with Enea and Mav in Herve's team next season hopefully Off Track can get another chat with Herve next season . The foot is in the door guys well done .👌👍 super enjoyable watch .
Fantastic interview Dave. Herve is such an interesting man. He loves the sport and has adjusted too the different eras along his Teams journey. He will miss Pedro but will bring out the best in Enea and Maverick im sure.
Rock & Roll Herve, To bring in Darwin as an example of the difference between individual riders is an example of a deep thinking man, yet another brilliant interview perfik, 🍷🍷🍷
Herve always an interesting bloke to listen to, open and honest views with MotoGP in his blood. Found his views on Enea & Maveric interesting, he could be the guy/team to get the best out of them, he'll give them what "they" want not what the factory says they want.
I sincerely hope he can. He clearly see’s the problems both riders have had and I’d I’ve to see both riders challenge consistently next season and on a bike that can help then do it
Herve has the kind of passion and enthusiasm that got me into bikes 50 years ago top man but I fear i dying bread being overrun but big corporation type attitudes. I’d love to see him chatting over a beer with Lucio Cecchinello and Paulo Campinoti that could be a good night out!
This week's podcast silver medal, just very, very slightly pipped by Hodgson/Tardozi. But as always Dave, a brilliant interesting production that I always look forward to hearing.
here is a tip if you get a guest on that people would like to listen to them speak dont spend the 1st ten minutes talk about yourself - I gave up and don't think that I will subscribe or bother listening to your stuff again
Have you watched a different show?! I spoke for less than three minutes in that first ten minutes 😂You’re entitled to your opinion, sir, but however, here’s a tip - look at the comments from everyone else, I’d suggest you’re misplaced with your opinion but all the very best to you 🤷🏼♂️
@@OffTrack_Podcast hers a tip look at the number of subs that you have and if you want to really grow the sort of comments that I have suggested might just help you but evidently your not interested in suggestions just have your back rubbed and your head patted
@@bertbog5088 With respect, you rubbished my show straight out of the blocks with an incorrect statement so forgive me if I don’t find that ‘helpful’. I’m quite open to suggestions on how I can improve, I always have been, but why would I take onboard comments that start quite abruptly with ‘here’s a tip’ and then are actually incorrect in their statement? I tend to defend what I do because I work hard at what I do. As for the subs, we’re an 18 month old show that has grown from the ground up in that time without the help of being a well-known journo or racer and I’m proud of where we’re at so far. You don’t know me. I’m not here to have my head patted. As I said earlier, if you have something to say that’s constructive and said with a more polite tone, I’ll happily listen and likely work on it. As for the numbers I don’t know 98% of our subs personally or those who comment, they do it because they enjoy the content of the show, not to massage my ego. You clearly don’t like what I do, and that’s absolutely fine, I can’t please everyone.
What a guy. Awesome Bloke
Exactly what I came away thinking, Pete 🙂
Well done Dave, you were very very busy at the Motogp
Cheers, Chris! Bit disappointed about the other shows not being as popular as I imagined they would be but we live and learn 🙂

Lovely, lovely man. Utterly brilliant interview.
Really appreciate that, thank you 🤩
What a wonderful interview. I dearly hope that Hervé has all his stories written down, ready to publish his memoirs one day.

Great video. What a great man Herve is, more people like Herve and the world would be a better place!
I usually listen to the podcast whilst walking the dog, but for Herve I’ll make the exception and watch. I think you bring the best out of each other.
