I think the reason why people thought Singed was OP was that for the last seasons, they can chase Singed and just straight up disrespect his damage (or lack thereof), but then, early S14 rolls out and Singed has decent items. They got so used to stupidly chasing Singed, but now he deals damage. And people say “Singed OP!”
The thing is, if you're playing Singed and trying to get people to chase you, you're playing him wrong.
Only really bad, really dumb players will chase you.
Singed is designed to kite AHEAD of enemies. It's literally what his passive is made for. The rest of the kit allows you to force the enemy to backtrack. It's not even about putting them behind you into the poison, it's to make them further from safety.
At start of S14 people didn't expect singed's poison to do that amount of dmg, so they chased him brainlessly. Then they were complaining that he is too op. Madness.

he was complaining about poison trail though? have you seen the damage it did? he was ahead in gold, 0 mr rell was basically healing herself from it tho and j4 basically ignored it. its not about dying in a risky 1v3, its about seeing the absolutely useless damage output

Not gonna lie, when I saw that video, I tried a similar runepage in my bard to see if I could do a decent healing, and boy I was shocked with the new Font of Life.
If anyone wants to test, I'm using fleet footwork to get more sustain instead of grasp, with presence of mind, legend haste, and cut down + font of life and revitalize (15% heal power when someone is lower than 40% is crazy).
And in some hard mathups I go with guardian, with font of life, bone plating/condicioning, and revitalize + taste of blood and ghost poro.
My build consists of mainly go for a dead's man plate and THEN go for Helia for some HUGE healings for my allies in mid-fights, something ppl aren't prepared for. Then I try to be in between the tank and the carries to not only do some serious slows, but also heal my allies when I hit someone with my AA + passive.
And for anyone reading this, yes. Helia stacks ARE CONSUMED in Font of Life, so I can do 3 huge heals in less than 2 seconds if I already have helia stacked beforehand.
Also, the build has a real lack of damage in lane phase, so I usually get the sheen support item sometimes to help with the damage, but with this type of build, sometimes is better Dream Maker/Solstice Sleigh to better help my allies instead of being a annoying poke support that I usually did for the past 3 years with comet bard.

What is your opinion on liandry into shadowflame ? I myself is a xerath support main and my build is blackfiretorch liandry shadowflame and currently i have 100%win rate in games where I get to third item
have u tried a more aggressive setup? With aery scorch cutdown and ignite? i feel like into melees gives u so much unexpected dmg that can make u win the lane faster. Also Cutdown helps u a lot in team fights to shred the first half of enemies hp.
ofc minor runes are celerity nimbus and absorb life with double adaptive and flat hp for maximum early game
What about adding a dorans shield into the mix?
He needs the mana sustain from Doran's Ring early.

i can see how snowbally this build can get and how it might be very mid or below average when you are falling behind somehow in lane

Man I miss being able to buy hp5 in a meaningful way early, made early lanes that were rough not as bad.
Tbh i've been playing this for months across 3 elos main plat/emerald 2nd accounts silver gold and 3rd iron bronze and it works most melee fiora it isn't best you don't really ever wanna trade with her phase better to just run out and keep her in poison, depending on who I vs I like also going Heathsteel then into mage items and maybe jaksho last it works if you can get to the late game quite well
at the start you say conq singed is dead, i saw many vids of him with conq being good against aggressive laners with high sustain (garen, olaf etc.), with a powerspike after 1st item (given you have cs lead)
as singed players i believe we bided our time and as soon as we had items we just started to finally capitalize on all the little things that made us "decent" we always had to play a certain way without items to even do decent, so once they gave us items we finally just smacked all the other champs and riot just didnt like it xD it was so hard to learn all the little things you HAD to do as singed in earlier seasons i felt it finally paid off and now i dont even want to touch league as a game.

singed got no gap closers like everyother champ i think XD maybe he should be able to fly through terrain like asol
I cant say how bad the nerfs are but it feels like overnight i cant do anything. I went from a 60% win rate on him to 48%. Im probably just bad admittedly but feels like im dieing a lot easier and doing a lot less damage.

Why are the comments so critical out of nowhere? When a more popular champion like Yone or Smolder or Camille is weak, everyone seemingly is on the same page of being dissatisfied with the current state of their champion, but when Singed becomes one of the worst toplaners in the meta, we are supposed to just stay silent about it?
I feel like absorb life is def the way to go here.

ye wondering the same. i agree that it is underwhelming as fuck, but literally all runes are trash. u gotta make do with conq/phase rush/aery. i dont think anything else is better

I don't think mr items are op. Only if your entire team is magic based. The only champs that even buy the high mr items are tanks and even then if they choose mr items instead of armor the adc will shred them. most mr items only have magic resist and health, which will be useless if you can't do any damage. That's why they are perfect for tanks who rely on allies to do more damage and they soak up damage to defend allies.

i think that riot should let him be weak tho. Cause it makes it more fun to watch you still be able to outplay people with it.
So many of his videos lately are of him greeding/griefing kills by just walking away from fights expecting them to die to poison. Really annoying. You know he needs a buff so just finish it.
