- Coming off a complete rebuild after leaving the basement, I build out my first garage gym. From the ground up I left some machines away but gained more than what I lost. Follow along with me as I give you the grand tour through my garage gym including all the unique things I added to a smaller space.
To support me, you can visit baresteelequipment.com and follow me on socials @morninglifter and @baresteelequipment
The dehumidifier can be found here: 50-Pint 2-Speed Dehumidifier ENERGY STAR (For Rooms 3001+ sq ft) www.lowes.com/pd/Hisense-50-P...
Thank you!

Awesome space man!
Thank you brother!
Lovin' the new garage setup! Everything turned out SICK!
I agree, the dehumidifier is clutch. I have one in my basement in the back that drains into the kitchenette sink. My basement gets very humid and musty otherwise.
I had one in the basement all these years, but the impact in the basement was unmatched
Sick setup. Going from basement to garage, you definitely did it right!
Appreciate it brother. The decals on the stacks are legit.
I love your gym, done thoughtfully. Great job 👏
Thank you! 🙏🙏
The tour we have all been waiting for 🔥🔥🔥
It’s been a minute for sure. Happy I was finally able to get it done.
@@MorningLifter once my shed gets done, then its my turn.
Great setup brother and a very informative breakdown of the equipment
Appreciate it my man 💪
Super cool space. Always amazed how many awesome equipment manufacturers are in the Ohio “neighborhood.” My first move when buying is to check out Rogue, Straydog, Elite, Bridge Built, and of course Bare Steel.
amazing gym. That glorious collection of dumbbells truly takes your set up to the next level.
Thanks! Yes I’d agree! Really happy with them.
Great, great setup and space!
Thank you!
That is such an awesome space. My Surplus Arc storage rack allows for super wide dumbbell storage and doesn't have that bend to it...just something to consider as you expand!
I’ll certainly keep that in mind. I was a little disappointed with the fact it is bending some but I’m guessing they didn’t design it for solely DB storage.
Awesome setup! I love the Bare Steel Equipment pieces I own (PB handles, ModBar, Hammer handles, Power Pins). Aside from the obviously awesome racks, dbs, etc., I really like that leg ext/curl combo machine. Such a compact design. I really wanted one but there was no way I was getting it in my basement lol.
A few legacy manufacturers made bolt together frame machines. Stray dog is coming out with a new bolt together design soon
@@BJerrell I'll keep an eye out for that one!
Saw the stacked weight pins on the Mac Strength Co review and had to get one for my functional trainer. I love it. I’m super jealous of your unlimited supply of power pins!!!!
It’s the Mecca HQ haha
Fantastic setup. As I garage gym owner, I really appreciate efficiency of layout and smart equipment choices. I would have made many of the same. At the moment I'm waiting for my own Rep racks, and the funny thing is, I made the same choice about a dedicated rack for the Jammer arms. So many people say they don't use them, but it occurred to me that they were a pain because they get in the way on the main rack, something def not desirable. Really great attention to detail. Enjoy.
Couldn’t agree more! Have a dedicated space for them is really the best thing for them - if a person can afford it. Good luck with your setup!
Wow so much amazing equipment in a smaller space. It looks so much bigger and the dimensions you gave Lol. There is the proof that you don’t have to have a three car garage gym to hit every muscle. VERY Nice!!!
Thank you! I should note it took me about 6 weeks of planning to try and get it right. Even then I still had a few changes to make.
Nice Space. Love the logos and theme
I finally beat you to a tour video! 😂
@@Eccles_basement_gym yeah I saw that lol
Appreciate it!
I have two of the hammer handles in bare steel...the aggressive knurl is perfect.
Couldn’t agree more! 😁
That's a nice setup, man.
Thank you! A long time coming for sure.
Love seeing the progression - What are the dumbbell shelves you use?
Appreciate it! I’m that’s the Rep Mass Storage System.
Wow, your gym has come a long way from the basement Titan Fitness setup. Looks great.
Thanks brother! Appreciate it!
nice gym, but how do you pick up heavy dumbbells from what looks like a chest hight dumbell rack?
Two hands - one at a time 😆
@@MorningLifter if I had brains I wouldnt have needed to ask😅🤦
Did you go with the 30 or 41” depth on your pr5000 6 post?
41” I found to be the best option
This guy touched these dumbbells once when he put them on the rack. Thats it
😂 - far from it
Man. What a nice set up.
I have a garage gym but is not quite at your level.
I appreciate it! This is essentially the final culmination of the many years in the basement haha.
Could you link that dehumidifier Man?
Done! It’s in the description - looks like it’s a Lowe’s exclusive as that’s where I bought it.
Tell me about the ares. Would you re-purchase it if you could go back in time?
Yes I absolutely would. I have no quarrels about this rack. It’s done everything I could ask of it and more. The only flaw is the low row, but I’ve found a super easy fix with that in my low row setup that’s featured.
@@MorningLifter thank you… all I needed to hear
Where can we buy those Bare Steel banners?
Head to the website - baresteelequipment.com
Why don't you just flip the Rep MSS storage shelves over and use the DB shelf side?
I wasn’t even sure that was an option. I’ll have to check that out. Thanks!
Yeah. I have five MSS Rep shelves. They have two sides. The side you aren’t using is the DB side. They’ll sit fine
@@dr.radloffschannel5854 right on - I had no idea that was even a thing.
How tall is you rack 80” or 93”.
It’s a 93” tall rack. Ceilings are like close to 11 ft so I had plenty of room.
A video tore eh?
LOL... "I'm finally done with the gym". Please, we are never, EVER, finished with our gyms.
😂 - it’s always worth the old college try
Need the racks side by side.. dumbbells all lined up straight across. This isn't balanced right
I tried that layout, it doesn’t work and everything felt uneven
@@MorningLifter I was just trolling you a little. I Get real weird OCD in my gym in phases and just obsess over how i can make the perfect layout. I'm sure you agonize over this too sometimes haha
Do you really need that many dumbbells? You can ditch a rack and have another piece of equipment.
When I use them all, yes I do. I’ve found that the accessory rack has been best for use with the lever arms. It’s quite a functional piece outside of one traditional piece of equipment.
