Damn Horizon. Digging in my pocket again! Its cute :) The video says 1800-2200 gives 10-15 minutes but the web specs say 2200-3200. That's interesting....
@@LoveRC Yes! Though depending on the dimensions/shape you made need to remove a small amount of foam material from the rear walls in the battery compartment (which is very easy to do). joe smoe they should have put landing gear doors on the last version of airliner. Maybe if the release a new one, it can just be white and you apply what airline decals you want
I bought it as a used one, as I was afraid of high wing loading, unnecessarily, the aircraft slows down brilliantly with the flaps down, in addition, it lands beautifully by manipulating only the thrust. I hope HH will refresh it in a while!
DC 6 tw on order. My 1st full size plane. Have some heli experience and boxing with a trainer. Will be doing more boxing with an instructor. Wish me luck. Beautiful plane. Well done horizon.
I just got one the other day, flew pretty well in 20 mph winds… though I got lucky going without a crash (I don’t recommend flying with wind that fast). And that was without the SAFE feature on. I bet it’s even smoother with it on! I love this plane
Fantastic. I live in Samoa and Samoa Airways uses the DH6. Definitely will be getting this and re-doing it in their livery. You have done amazing progress in 2019 and I have loaded my hanger with plenty of E-flite models. Looks like 2020 is going to be busy too with my bank account!! All the best to you all and your families for Christmas.
wow just what I have been waiting for excellent job horizon hobby with flap, led, counter rotating twin motor and float with good price. I think this will be a hot seller cant wait until it comes out
Lovely aircraft indeed. I filmed a documentary for Missionary Aviation in remote areas of Papua New Guinea operating this aircraft a few years ago... amazing plane!
Cool looking plane.. Nice price for floats too.. Not that i could use them, but maybe. I just wish the AR636 would stop being used and you guys would start putting the new RX in them so be compatible with the Smart escs and all.. I might have to add this one to my Collection. Never owned or flown a twin, can you believe that in my 30 years of flying.
I am trying to decide what airplane to get I am a beginner and already have the sport cub s, people say that the high winged aircraft are more easy to fly yet the Cherokee is one of my favs and they are pulling me to both sides which should I choose?
The Sport Cub S is an ultra micro model, so moving up to a larger park flyer or mid-sized model is a pretty big step...especially if it's a low wing model. For that reason we recommend going to a larger high wing trainer like the HobbyZone AeroScout S and S 2 1.1m ( ruclips.net/video/eHA49QecFR0/видео.html ) or Carbon Cub S 2 1.3m ( ruclips.net/video/Wgsq8VQZrG8/видео.html ) first. As you can see in those videos, they are both capable of advanced aerobatics, even more so than the Sport Cub S, so they are well suited as trainers and beyond that too. Also, if you buy the RTF version of those models, you can use the DXe/DXS transmitter and 3S 2200mAh battery they include to fly the E-flite Cherokee 1.3m with. The Cherokee is likely too big of a step from the Sport Cub S, but it's a more practical next step after the AeroScout or Carbon Cub S (especially because you can use the same transmitter, battery and charger). The E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m is also a perfect "next step" airplane: ruclips.net/video/r0K6S1K4vYc/видео.html
Two questions: how old do you have to be to fly this aircraft? How much altitude can the plane go up to? Edit: I also have another question. What if I buy a version that doesnt include the AS3X safe select, do I have to buy it somewhere?
Well, it’s been 2 years but I’ll still answer the question in case anyone else has these questions and would like them answered. 1. Recommended age is 14+, although someone younger with adult supervision can fly one of these, a long as they’ve flown a trainer first. 2. The FAA and AMA maintain a strict altitude limit of 400 feet AGL. Hypothetically it’s altitude is only limited to transmitter range, so if it were allowed an aircraft could theoretically achieve 2,600 feet (max range of Spektrum DX 6e Transmitter.) 3rd question: if you buy the PNP (the version WITHOUT AS3X and SAFE Select) you could either add a non gyro receiver (no stabilization) like the AR620 or a stability receiver from another model (as long as it has enough channels) but either way a receiver is needed for the model to operate.

HorizonHobbyProducts oh cool. Mine are 240g. 136 x 45 x 18mm. So I should be able to make them fit. Dimensions are very close and they are 9 grams lighter.
Wow I actually like this plane. Was really looking for an airliner though. Come one E-flight, give us an airliner. The AL37 motion rc has is like hot bread at the moment. Can my 3300 batteries be used in this model?
I think the idea was that it was small enough to carry in the car and fly even at a local park. Knowing Horizon, they will make a 2000mm if this one becomes popular.

@@daveroche4527 Room in the bathtub! Why didn't I think of that! 😄
The painted twin props are a nice touch. I like the detail going into these models!
Ok, I've often flown in and worked around the Twin Otter, this model is what I've been waiting years for! I'm getting one!
I just ordered this plane. Looks great, but PLEASE release an Airliner (non licenced to keep it affordable)

I have loved a 1500mm Aero Commander with retracts instead. The UMX one was super cool and I would spend money on a bigger one again
Can you please send me a link of this aircraft? I cant find it anywhere. Im searching so long... Thank you :D
Another Amazing Aircraft from HH! Love it and can not wait to get one soon! Thanks HH!
The fact that it includes the floats actually makes it good deal at @ $200.

looks great guys! I love that it can do water as well!
Produse exceptionale. Le recomad tuturor celor pasionati. Felicitari Horizon Hobby!
These planes that horizon hobby has made are the best!
FANTASTIC! Great value at $230 BNF! Love that y'all included the floats.
I thought it was $179.00 usd, darn it. This will have to wait till spring. I could have been thinking of pricing for that Aero Scout or something

Hi Guys - Looks good, love the zebra prop!
Hope this is a home run for Horizon, it sure looks like it!
Love the Twin Otter, they make great jump planes... the real ones that is. I just might have to try one of these.

Very nice! Is it possible to install fat tires for a tundra look and deeper grass capability? Which skis do you suggest?
Nice thing. I miss some new umx warbirds, to be honest. They are cool to weathering and detailing up. Crossing finger fingers every thursday.
OMG! 😍 Love it! Better will be only Draco🤠
How long does an 1800 mAh battery last?
CANT WAIT!!!!!
Ordered!
the gear looks quite stiff. does it have any kind of shocks to absorb rough terrain?
I would guess that wing mounted motors produce some wackiness on the CG, which makes it hard to balance? or no?
Not at all! As you can see in the video, and other videos now posted on RUclips, the Twin Otter 1.2m flies great with no "wackiness"!
Very good, That one.
Dear santa I have been a good boy at times this year So do believe I need this gift
Yay floats...!!🖖
