    Hi, You mention droplet size scales as.... expression... In this context, I Would like to know if we can take droplet size = (diameter of tip*surface tension)/(viscosity of viscous fluid*velocity of viscous fluid) or is there any experimental constant in proportionality.

      You can start with Theoretical Microfluidics by Henrik Bruus. It covers a lot of topics at introductory level. For casual reading, you can read Introduction to Microfluidics Patrick Tabeling. The following paper is also good:
