I ain't gonna lie getting high ended up becoming my god. weeds fine. but drinking and doing pills caused my love for drugs become stronger than god for awhile. I was in drug testing (still am) and I found a new drug similar to lsd which I loved, called DXM. Dextromethorphan. that shit is something u shouldn't do more than once a month if that. I did it like stoners smoke dope 😫 I had caused brain damage and felt a permanent high but I prayed and God brought me back. Im done with it all atm now.

Now 2 years and a couple of months and im free from every addiction Jesus saved my life i have a good job a lovely women and everything i need and i pray the lord everyday of my life and believe it or not i was listening to this song every time i was smoking weed in my car back then and each time i was smoking weed i was repeating every lyric of that song and by a day of distress i was about to miss of dope and i was scared to do not have enough dope for whole night i could not even do one day without it i was so addicted to it so i did try to call every drug dealer in my town and that night no one did wanted to deliver me some weed i had like 4 drugs dealers and none them wanted and i did look at my bag of weed its almost empty and then the lyrics of that song came into my head and i just did realize at that moment that i have a serious problem of addiction but i could not do anything by myself to fight it its was over me over what im capable of doing but i did want to stop it so at that moment i just turn up my eyes into sky and pray the lord and i told him and i rmb i said god if your there do something i am not capable of stopping this addiction but if you are there do something and trust me he did rescue me !

Instead of turning to God for peace and satisfaction people turn to weed 3) Our joy is to be based in Christ- not earthly things 4) (For most) Weed brings the party scene with it- party's/music/situations 5) It can be a gateway drug into deeper things 6) God calls us to live a holy lifestyle
Fighting sin and temptation is constant because it's in our nature. Try to look at praying as not a chore but talking to a friend cause that's what God is. He wants to know what's going on and how much your struggling. He understands and wants to help you. That confusion is what the Devil is doing that's his profession. Asking God to fight the struggles you have is so much easier than doing it yourself because you can't do it without Him. He's got you and every day good or bad if you let Him. :)

It says in the Bible to obey authority because authority is given by God. So if whoever is in power says it's illegal than we must obey that, but it doesn't mean that if something is legal that you should pursue it either, there are many legal substances that destroy people. If you can't get close to God without drugs than you need to check your heart.
I like this song. Weed is a sin. anytime we seek something more than God, put anything over God it is sin. I totally understand how bad temptation is and that guilt. Only God can really change you if you really ask Him to. Another way to avoid that temptation is to not hang out with those friends. Still talk to them just don't make them your main people. If you're really ready to follow Christ then that's a small sacrifice. It's not easy though!!
