    I love your video and the jacket. I like the pockets as you did them, it added interest to the front. The fabric is perfect! We don’t always have to pay a lot for fabric to end up with a nice garment.i look forward to your posts and enjoy your comments about the weather. Thank you

    Really nice looking jacket. You did a fabulous job of sewing it. Thank you for the tutorial. It was great to see the way you sew the collar. I also find this type of lapel a bit tricky to get perfectly flat.

    Hi Rachel, this was a fantastic tutorial and so clear 👌. You are brilliant at tutorials and I hope that you do many more. I haven't made a jacket yet but as this is knit, with no lining, I might give it a go 👍. I'm loving your fabric choice and it looks great on you 💝😁😘

      I think the big 4 patterns do tend to come out large, I am not a size 12 in RTW at present (UK sizing) but knew the size 12 would fit me xx

    Nice job. Great fabric choice, smart yet comfy. 😊 May I suggest using a layering technique when removing bulk from a collar intersection, especially useful with knits.

    Hi, Jacket looks fab, I think I can help you with the collar bit you are unhappy about. As you were snipping away the thickness of the seams if you just clip right into that corner at 24.23 that will make it lie flat. There is alot going on in this area. This jacket is next on my sewing bench. I too will be adding length as I'm a lanky lass also. XX

    • @dianeshelton9592
      @dianeshelton9592 6 лет назад

      Vicki Dent in addition if you cut back the interfacing to 1/2 inch on a 3/4 inch seam there is less bulk to try to get into the corner , you just have to make sure you cut the interfacing 1/4 inch smaller before fusing it.

    I wish we could have chatted this weekend as we were both struggling to attach the front facing to the upper collar! It took me an hour to get it right.. Your jacket looks amazing by the way :) My medium weight ponte was not drapey enough for this pattern. I could have gotten away with it had I not interfaced the facings but I did :(

    Aaagggh. It's great, I just think " what a shame you didn't pay the pocket pattern pieces over the fronts where they would be placed and draw in the stripes and cross checks. It's such a simple thing to do and it turns a home made into handmade. Otherwise, great job.

    Thanks I am not having a go at it is just when I tried to contact them through Facebook they blocked me they’re also doing it to someone else that has not received the fabric and they have not refunded her . what is this that you mentioned about PayPal sorry if you think I was having a go at you but this was the only way I could put it out there because they are blocking me I have had one purchased from them which came fine from the Sunday sale and then I purchased in the week on the 2nd of October and I got nothing and I’ve kept messaging them. And I’ve also been in contact with Sharon but now she’s not getting back to me last message was that they was looking into a refund and the I would be taken off the face book page

      Hi Ann, your money is safe paying through paypal, if they don't offer you a refund, apply to paypal for them to do a chargeback and you will get your money back xx
