BACKPACKING OBSIDIAN TRAIL IN THE THREE SISTERS WILDERNESS ARE OF CENTRAL OREGON - Episode 2

Backpacking on the Obsidian Trail is a truly amazing experience. The peace and solitude makes for an especially relaxing time. This area was known to Native Americans for high quality obsidian to make tools. The meadow is covered by obsidian shards that glisten in the sun like water. In the distance you can hear the sound of broken glass under the feet of PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) hikers walking over the obsidian.
We are two transplants from east of the Rockies who love to go on adventures exploring beautiful vistas and hidden gems.
