Wow! That looks so beautiful. And SO clean... I barely saw any litter on your wonderful cycle ride through this amazing park. 😊🙏 I'm putting some serious thought into buying a small place in Bulgaria next year. Burgas was already on my radar, and your video hads't done anything to dissuade me of that. ❤
New subscriber👋Thank you for your channel. I’m two years away from retiring and I’m researching countries to live in part time. Bulgaria is now on my list😉
Fun facts about our sea garden - there is a maze of bunker tunnels under it from the time of WW1. The architect of the park studied landscaping in Austria and designed some of Bulgaria's most beautiful parks , his house still remains in the park to this day , it now houses the meteorological institute's Burgas branch. There was on old wooden peer in the place of the current concrete one but it was destroyed by a storm in the 70s. :)
I can't wait to see Burgas for the first time ever at the End of May for a week. I love your channel and your honest reviews, you are such a nice couple 😇🤗
@@bztravel What made you pick Burgas? Where are you originally from? We are wondering about the cost of health insurance for retirees. We are seriously considering Burgas or Varna. We are currently in the Costa Del Sol Spain. As soon as we can... in the spring, we're looking to make a trip to the Black Sea Coast. Thanks for your help!
@@bztravel Thanks so much for the info! I'd love to communicate more. We are from Reno, Nevada. My email is epeggy@gmail.com. Can you drop me a line please? Cheers, Peggy and Mark
Burgas has become a great place to live (it uses to be a pretty industrial town and now it is more of a resort town) but it is definitely not the most prosperous city in Bulgaria...salaries are lower in comparison to Varna...no comparison to Sofia... Have you visited other places in Bulgaria, besides the coast?
I speak/read Russian at a low-intermediate level.....I've had Bulgarian friends and consulted "Teach Yourself Bulgarian" books and been struck by how helpful already knowing Russian is....at the very least I'm glad I can still read Cyrillic...even though I know the Bulgarian version is slightly different. I'm only 50 and not ready to retire yet, but long term I'm strongly considering it. Considering how Russia is now, I'd rather devote my time to learning Bulgarian properly...and Bulgaria has been a NATO member since 2004. I also speak German with near native fluency. How widely is English understood in Bulgaria nowadays?
It's mostly known among the younger people. A larger percentage of the millennials and Get Z are bilingual and know both Bulgarian and English. Other generations know English as well, but not as much as the younger ones.
Saying name of city correctly would help...it’s not at all quiet...have no idea why you think this...lived for 4 years there..with Bulgarian..it’s a fun, busy city!

Amazing video! The city looks very nice. I would love to visit it one day if I ever go to bulgaria.
Surprised and happy to see an American couple in Burgas, it is my home town. You have made a great choice and I hope you feel welcome here.
What's the other nicer places to visit within Taxi distance to here?

Nice, inviting video. Perhaps I'm put it on my itinerary.

A pack of 20 Marlboro red costs £2.52 in Burgas.
They are £12.75 in UK as of 2022

I stayed in the center at Hotel Bulgaria. I think it's closed now. It's a nice city.
There are many other prosperous cities and towns in Bulgaria. Not just Burgas...

Im messing with my 2 kittens rn!
Too much music, too little telling us what to do in Burgas, dislike
@@bztravel you sound bitter, are you ok? It was just a comment, no need to be mad. I was looking up "burgas trip" and ur video came up 3rd
You sound more bitter man. Have some respect for the response she returned
Inane comments about crime from someone who cannot read or understand Bulgarian language!!
Everywhere has crime and criminals..
Awful audio mixing. Disturbing video on an amazing city. If you need a video editor let me know 😅
