As a person who's neurodivergent and overweight this is why I'm very careful with who I associate myself with. I've been put in positions like this and whenever I am able to point out that I feel as if I'm being used or taking advantage of for a joke, I am then told that I cannot take a joke or I have no sense of humor. For people like me sometimes the only way you can make friends is by letting people humiliate you publicly which is why I don't have many friends
Literally same. It's so sad. Especially when the only way to realize it early on (before you have standards and boundaries) is for someone to be kind enough to explain to you and show you that you are being used.
I am autistic and am at a similar level of support needs as Josh, and I became an alcoholic too. Many enabled me and I felt like I couldn’t leave my house without it. My heart breaks for him. I’m happy to be sober now

Negatives outweigh the positives and any perceivable positives aren't even intentional really anyway, and I was at the livestream where marty fought raxx, I partook in "lolcow culture" for years and I regret having anything to do with it, I recommend quitting that side of the internet if you haven't already you will become a lot happier very quickly most likely.
i remember when Joshua came to Iceland. He was continuously harassed by young men and even boys. They even stole his hat. It is so sad how people can be so cruel to people just because theyre disabled.
The amount of booze he drinks is absolutely concerning, I’m speaking from the position of someone with developmental disabilities who also has a semi unhealthy relationship to substances, you end up in scary situations way easier ( I often get lost for example and it can take a while for me to find an open business so I can call a cab ) and those situations cause real intense desperation and confusion and the way people like us tend to respond to those emotions only make it worse, A lot of neurotypical people don’t understand the stimming or talking out loud to yourself to get your thoughts straight, or any other symptoms that occur , they get scared and then you’re alone because they leave. It can get so bad so fast, when I go out i now bring multiple ways to contact sober family incase it gets unsafe and I do not go out regularly.
Yeah it’s probably bacterial infection or ringworm if it’s not scaly or just bad dandruff if it’s flakey. I have psoriasis, a milder case, and I got it from my dad 😢

hi louis! cat update: i now have two cats! i have the kitten i told you about last time, and a mama kitty that got left outside my grandmas house by her owner. she has mites which we're giving her meds for, but she is a very lovey baby and weve been making sure to take good care of her, shes on fancy food now when she was eating friskies and rats at the last place she stayed. my kitten is doing well too, shes gonna meet my sister tomorrow and shes been trying to love on mama kitty through the cage we have her in rn (isolation + introducing the cats slowly)
joshua is on the autism spectrum, which also comes with a higher rate of substance abuse because many autistic people (speaking from experience) can't cope with the constant overstimulation from the outside "neurotypical" world. his autism also is partly why he is so blindly trusting of people; we don't have those social skills built in, and many of us can't learn unless someone else teaches us the nuances of social interaction. his autism is also why i believe he wears his sailor hat; it's probably a safe sensory and comfort item for him, so when people have stolen it in the past for laughs it's always personally enraged me because it's bullies taking advantage of an emotional reaction autistic people can't control. i can't imagine being in his shoes, believing everyone he interacts with genuinely has good intentions for him, only to be let down time and time again. it's so sad.
I used to have similar issues, but I'm basically completely numb these days, both mentally and physically...I find this is the best way to live. As you can be friendly with anyone, but never let alone get within arms reach.

small note but if no one was picky i don't think we'd be anywhere. as an autistic person and a recovering alcoholic, josh's alcoholism has nothing to do with his autism. he is able enough to start drinking and to stop drinking with his autonomy as an adult. the reason he is so easily manipulated is not due to his autism, it's because he's an alcoholic. when you're addicted, it really is that easy to be manipulated further into your addiction. hell your brain will do it to itself. i wouldn't be surprised if he has at least some level of awareness about that too. his autism doesn't take away his ability to make decisions, his addiction does. i feel horrible for him. i wouldn't wish that situation on anyone, yet there's so many people who are manipulated into addiction because it keeps them unaware of other signs of grooming. i was in a very similar situation myself.
As a fellow autistic recovering alcoholic I fully agree! My alcoholism absolutely covered so many bad things for me for way longer then they should simply because I was squashing all my feelings with alcohol. It's not at all to do with autism. You can make choices like drinking ect with autism. And you can drink alcoholically. I hope with time he's able to realize he deserves a better life and stop drinking.

Im not sure if anyone mentioned this, but smoking in the hospital/Drs office is more than inconsiderate, but it's also dangerous. joshua block aka world of tshirts is a very sad case. he's so easily misled and drinks an absurd amount. he lost his parents very young and doesn't have government support despite being disabled so he relies on streams and donations to get any sort of funds. i hope he can find some form of help before all of this becomes fatal. he's on the brink of becoming homeless since his entire life is funded by people who watch his streams. mr based is 100% evil for exploiting josh for his own gain, let alone all his other exploits. mr based is an evil person who is exploiting a disabled man for views because people know who joshua is. he's smoked him out many times too. he brings josh to his apartment to get him high and film him sort of often. he films him when he's fucked up all the time. it's sickening the way mr based takes advantage of josh
