(Locations of the pics are in the description.) Pennsylvania was once home to the largest railroad company in the world, The Pennsylvania Railroad. Our state has many active and abandoned railroad and trolley lines. Also, my hometown is home to the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum and the Strasburg Railroad. We also have access to one of the fastest passenger lines in the country, The Keystone Express. Great effort was made not to trespass on private property while shooting this video. The reason for no speech or text in this video is because I wanted it to be uncluttered. This is a really cool video! As you said partially abandoned. The section from Coatesville to Wilmington is still actively used by East Penn Railroad and the former Pennsylvania Railroad Octororo Branch was truncated to the Wilmington and Northern line at Chadds Ford as parts of that line was abandoned to the west and destroyed by hurricane Agnes on it's East end. I've seen many pictures of the active portions of the line but never saw much of the abandoned section to the north.
Great production, guys! I really enjoyed it, especially the few times when you had "then" pictures to show before transitioning to the "now" view. The background music was spot on as well.
@@ChrisJoanz The ROW followed what is now the dead end road called Siousca Station at 340 on the west side of the creek. Was there a bridge spanning 340?
