I know your comment is six years old but Nintendo technically has, they can't have it in every game, but the whole series is based on Love. Mishiamoto wanted to show in the Zelda that they always have been, each reincarnation is different, but they always have a connection to each other. They would have to completely start over if they weren't, Hylia loved him first, she chose him because of that reason, the curse was actually when she gave up her role as goddess to stay with him. They also had a game almost finished but never relased, little is known about it, all that was leaked was that Zelda needed Link, but he never came and she couldn't find him, you would play as her for a part of the game to find him. Their are pictures of links imprision ament, but it got cancelled so it no longer cannon to the story.
Didn't you see Midna crying at the end of Twilight Princess? She cared more about Link than emo Princess Zelda in that game. And Link RAN FROM ZELDA'S SIDE to see Midna. Come on. How much more evidence do I need to give? But, different people have different opinions and I respect that. :) And like I said; I have different shippings for different games. Like for Link's Awakening, I prefer LinkXMarin.
