My RUclips comments are broken again so I can't reply to people so sorry Robby that Ih ad to make a new comment but this is just to let you guys know this whole situation: First of all this song is not copyright free, yest youtube doesn't claim videos just yet of the song but Sony owns rights to it and can and will content i.d. it soon so I advise content creators to avoid these songs unless Alan Walker makes an announcement that you can use his old music previously on NCS without copyright (he hasn't declared this) The story: 2014 November 12th - Alan Walker signed a contract to be signed to his first record label NCS (AEI); he then submitted his track from August called Fade in which they approved and published in November 19th 2014; he had 2 more releases which released exclusively on NCS same time as his channel. In summer 2015 he made a track called Locutus to be his 4th ncs release but unfortunately this never came out, instead in August 2015 Alan Walker met with one of the people at Mer musikk (Sony Music Norway) they had talks and in the end they offered him a contract to join Sony. He signed the agreement so his fourth ncs release was cancelled and he no longer was an NCS artist. In April 2016 Sony removed most of Alan Walker's free downloads however these NCS stuff were perfectly fine and legal. November 2019 5 years after Fade was out, the NCS contract had expired and since he was no longer an NCS artist the contract wasn't able to be renewed so his music was just in promo status. The reason the music didn't get taken down earlier by NCS was since 2019 NCS no longer gave the music for free with a free download, you had to buy the album to get a copy of it for all his releases. Alan Walker was never featured on the new ncs website since he was only on ncs as a promotion since then NCS and Sony negotiated 2 years in which NCS could distribute the music on streaming & youtube channel which expired yesterday & that is why it was suddenly gone and also albums are taken down since NCS no longer own rights to share the music.
about 4 days ago alan Walker says on Instagram and on his community tab that he can use his 3 songs that were private / expired, that is, it's still a free song, no copyright
Back in 2014, It was, like, 3 a.m. me drinking coffee and finishing a paper to present the next morning at College. I found this song (with just 9~10k stream or less) and absolutely loved. I became a huge fan of Alan Walker songs and always felt something different listening to it, specially Fade (the instrumental NCS Fade). Since then, I often back to listen to it. I heard Fade when I broke up, when I was about to finish my dissertation at college, when I first drove my car. I have a really important appointment tomorrow, and that's why I searched for this song. Idk... It kind of connect my soul to all the things I have to pass on. It's absolutely tragic that the old NCS feeling no longer lives. But, tonight, you saved one of the most nostalgic feelings in me. Thanks for posting this song again, bro.

The truth- In 2014, Alan walker gave the copyright of his songs to NCS under a license that expired in 2021, so when the license expired NCS took down Alan walker songs BTW, I think NCS will get the license again and re-upload this song.
