- We continue with our American Roadtrip, this time stopping at a scary place long reputed to be haunted, the Missouri State Penitentiary. We decided to do lone vigils in this huge and very edgy place as we only had limited time there. Alison even got to sit in Death Row... all on her own!
Please note that these videos are designed as live streams on our Facebook page to highlight haunted tourism sites that you can visit yourself. For this reason, the video is not intended to be broadcast/documentary quality.
We are not presenting any of this as proof that ghosts exist; we are just sharing some interesting moments during our investigation. What you make of it is what you make of it.

I live not far from that place. Always hear stories about it. The Estes responses were awesome! Great job, ladies!!
Did 5 years there. Was glad when they transferred me
You speak so gently to the spirits! I'd definitely interact with you as a spirit 💕
I like to remember they were people once, and I speak as I would like to be spoken to. I think we should always have good manners. There was only the Licking Jail one where we may have got boisterous with them, but in our defence, they did start it lol.
What a creepy place. I wouldn't want to be in there alone at night. Thanks ladies great episode 👏
It took a little doing to sit on our own in those areas lol. But it was such an amazing place. Pleased you enjoyed, thanks for watching 😊
Really love the history you share about these places. Random fact - vultures are also known for patience, intelligence, resourcefulness, loyalty, and ultimately converting death into life. Maybe that one at the beginning was just paying respects to you two fabulous ladies! 💕
Thanks Jodi... ooo I didn't know that. The comment was because we had a vulture sitting outside the Sallie House too, the night before lol. I will take it as 'paying respect' :D
@@haunted-horizons Two vultures in two nights? That's super creepy, but kinda cool 😎.
Very well put together. Thanks for sharing guys
Thanks, Sandra, not sure about well edited, but so pleased you enjoyed :D
Those whistles were so clear! How in the world do you girls stay so calm and brave?! lol! I’d be crapping my pants! .😂. Awesome as always! .❤.
I guess we just get used to it and realise it normally isn't threatening. I won't say sometimes when we look brave, we aren't crapping our pants though 😂😂
I've been there and live a few miles there. It's very intimidating. My Father-in-law knew James Earl Ray's brother too. He met James but he was considered odd.
Oh wow, how cool is that. We would love to have spent more time in there as so much more to explore. Hopefully, we get back one day. Thank you for watching x
@@haunted-horizons I've spent some time there but would love to spend more time actually investigating.
I was there from 1987-1993 In my 29 years in prison it was the most violent Things happened that make nightmares seem like fairy tales
Love watching the penitentiary videos. This was great, keep up the awesome work 🙌💗
Thanks, Eaglecaul Healing, there is definitely something about Penitentiaries and asylums that we love doing. Glad you enjoyed x
Very creepy you could definitely hear the whistles and the Estes was interesting. If you felt something near you it probably was watching you both.👻🙂
The whistles were interesting as if natural you would have thought they would have continued but they stopped after the E.V.P. session. Thanks for watching :)
Another awesome video. . Love your work ladies.
Thanks Kim, so pleased you enjoyed :)
This place is amazing, you can feel the intense vibe it has through the video. You both are very brave to be alone in there. 🙂
Don't know whether brave or stupid Jules lol. It was intense in there though. Thanks for watching :)
what an absolutely creepy place that was 😱 and so many noises and whistles galore...no wonder you were a bit reluctant at first to go in by yourselves....another fantastic investigation girls....well done 👏👏👻👻🥰
It was very large and imposing Barb... but exciting at the same time! Pleased you enjoyed lol
wow that was a awesome investigation that you both were brave to do the solo on your own. I truly do enjoy watching you when you are doing the investigations and the fun that you have. Thank you for bringing us along on your investigation take care and stay safe.
I must admit it was a little edgy lol. Thank you for watching and for supporting us xx
I've been wanting to go there. It's only a few hours away from my in-laws.
No one believes me that it can be very humid in the Midwest, even though we're landlocked in the middle of the continent. Thank you, I enjoyed that.
Oh you so should. Such an awesome place along with amazing history. I never believed how humid it could be in the Midwest either, until last year! Hence going in May this year and not Sept lol
Awesome job Alison. Now on the bucket (read win lotto) List !
Such a great place, definitely need to visit one day :D
Awesome as always!
Thanks Melissa :)
Rewatching all videos! Is it weird I watch them to wind down at night 😂
Love that you rewatch :) Weird... well we all fit in together on that one lol 😊👻
3 levels of creepiness still gets me every time. 😅 It is all those dark empty cells in darkness. Always gets me at my local pennitentiary on investigations.I keep my back to the wall lol nobody needs to touch me in that dark.
I have to give the U.S.A. the award for building the creepiest prisons and pennitentiaries! lol
For sure. They are so imposing, built out of rock, made to last. And the soaring roofs allow for 4 or 5 tiers of cell blocks. And all those dark corners and staicases😬Must have been a competition for which pen could be the creepiest lol
Well there’s no vultures following me lol
Haha... it was a bit disconcerting as we had one sitting on the kerb outside the Sallie House the night before too. It was like what the....
Hi gals that gas chamber suddenly makes it all real doesn't it. What a scary place I take my hat off to you guys for going it alone like that. 👍👍👻👻 My computer has decided to bring up two icons when I only press it once, but you girls deserve it one each lol.
It is why I left the end as a quiet look at it, with music and nothing more. It is RUclips, for some reason it does it for me too, we will take it as one for each of us lol. Pleased you enjoyed.

If you would listen to the tour guide she said don't ask him about what they're in there for because they're not going to want to talk
I am confused on where you heard that one coming from a tour guide on here? We only had 2 male guides, and they didn't appear on the video. It was two years ago that we did this one though, so will have to watch again in case we said something. 😊
The 1 thing you never do is call a man in prison a boy unless he is someone's wife! That's a no no men get mad about that in there , we looked at it being disrespectful to a man!
It is a long time since I edited this, so did we call somebody a boy? I think it is the same here on certain terminology. I used to say 'top dog' about prisoners in charge... until we found out that it is a derogatory term inside. It is fascinating learning the terms used when you haven't worked in the system. Thank you for sharing that one 😊
