Most essential thing a towing cover does is hopefully stop stone chips breaking the frone windows!! Of course, keeping the front clean is a close second!!
we've always been 50/50 on this. Some people never use them and never get issues. Some use them and get damage from the actual cover, so never known what is best to do
@heyholetstow as long as the inside of the cover is clean, it shouldn't scratch the windows. As to stopping stone chips on our van windows where they are 10 year old Lunar Quasar which the windows probably are just not available!
