I think the optimal path to pink souls is ATK > HP > COMBO > DEF. Because ATK, HP and DEF souls when upgraded to pink become global multipliers, thus granting a bigger upgrade in status. Also the fusion for pink souls is to change the sub-status that it comes along. You should seek to have all combo dmg in every pink soul.
The absolute first pink soul should be the attack percentage that turns into a ttack, global percentage and healing rate. One global percentage is huge too. You get healing rate which I have 30% healing rate on basic attacks each time just from that pink soul
The only part about the pink souls that many people don't seem to initially realize is that the actual combo/counter/crit/etc damage of the red donor soul doesn't actually increase. The pink combo soul yields the same amount of combo damage increase as the red alternative. It just adds boss damage as a secondary bonus. The only three that actually change the main stats as well as add secondary bonuses not otherwise obtainable via red souls are the HP, ATK, and DEF pink souls. The red HP soul, for instance, is just base HP. Once it goes pink, it becomes Global HP, which is infinitely better. Same with ATK and DEF. If you don't care about PVE as much, the pink combo soul is somewhat of a waste. Get the Global ATK one instead to boost your damage output.
