The most broken thing about morphing is his stat gain. He's agi carey but he also have insane good str gain. He has 9 stat gain while other heroes has like around 5.5-8stat gain it's like super broken considering he can shift str and agi as he want. Low mmr players rarely play morph because he need good reflex to press str when he get jumped but most of his skills and talents are all good compared to other heroes with bad talents. Even when his innate don't do much he's good every meta. He just sometimes got outshine by meta like medusa/dk/drow/sf sometimes but when those heroes get nerfed he's back to his throne again.
@perferstrategy it's fun for sure but it really depends on enemy ability you can steal most of the time and supports are mostly first pick so it's rare to have a game that favour your hero but meta supports are just innately better in many ways without relying too much on that aspect and their innate and facets are just over all stronger so better heroes win when player skills are close
im a morph spammer, for me its a perfect hero , i reached 6k by this.morph now can self rely in laning phase, cuz no way a low rank player will buy or at least share regen for ya, so abuse shift kinda cool.and morph sometime we can just skip the morbid mask, cuz shift is more than enough. This hero have both dmg and mobility, hard to kite, can both burst and drag the fight.the only downside is his mana. And i recommend another morph build, is the flow facet, but not the low CD build.u can keep ur strength high, cuz morph still have crazy strength gain, so the base dmg still good, the downside is his AS.i always build like this, tread witchblade manta and bloodthorn, which provide him as as well as mana regen. playin this way morph will have less dmg but have higher hp, around 3k6-4k in mid game, and have a low cd long duration stun. the point of this build is for early gank, and later one waveform + stun, 1 orchid is more than enough to kill one supp.
Conceptually, Flow is just better (str morph) because you have no need to shift past free full health Regen in lane (going full agi to 1 hp then full str brings you to full for free) you get to keep maximum possible damage since you don't need to play safe with a little strength, you're just all strength. Agi wastes a lot of attack speed on diminishing returns, where str can build a mjolnir, AC, and basically be sitting very pretty on attack speed, you can still buy a butterfly, but really heart with 8k hp and 25 armor from AC is just insane, and you lose agi strike but get a 2.6-3.6 second stun with crazy range, you also have 1.2k hp at level 1. Plus, you kinda destroy off lanes with your insane free Regen, and health pool plus full stat autos
Conceptually -- only on paper. you will be farming slow as hell without attack speed. without the agi attack speed you will never kill people fast enough though. as a late game pos 1 you have to kill people fast and quick before the enemy does yours. getting flow will get rid of your 500+ dmg nuke that can trigger aeon disks and force supports out temporarily/finish escapers Also morphling gains more attack speed before suffering diminishing returns with agi since he has low BAT. Nothing is wasted. full items maxed agi morph usually has 2.5k to 3k hp with 50+ armor. This is already tanky as hell. Getting it up to 8k hp is counter intuitive. half of morphling's mechanics is to absorb damage and cooldowns by baiting with his low hp then morphing back to strength to allow your allies to counter attack. If they see you having 8k HP then you are not worth chasing at all effectively rendering half of your role useless.
@Formless_H Magic stick is a must, couple mangoes if u have free slot is always helpful. It is a counter matchup for a reason, you have to be creative with your plays.
Is this better for Turbo or All pick. For some Reason Morphling is mad crazy in All Pick I got butterfly and eye of skadi and everyone was too scared to face me lol. But in Turbo I get shut down REAL FAST!. Everyone picking nuke heroes like SKy, Lina, Tide for his stun, And Dark Seer can be so annoying. Pulling everyone I have to wave out. But my team getting killed by their own mirror image. Oh you forgot to mention Earth Spirit is a good counter against Morph with shivas gaurd and his Ultie will melt morph even with strength. He will be force to trigger bkb and his ult wont stop until hes dead.
All Pick You're getting shut down in Turbo because the enemies are scaling faster than you can farm. You need to skip some early-game items and go right towards larger items.
@@TorteDeLinifor counters or when to avoid picking morph. Especially since you’re encouraging new players to pick him up. Drow ignores base armor and morph is all about shifting to base armor. Mid game+ Drow will easily one shot morph if precision procs.
@@Iam_Trying it might be good if u a little bit pussy (like if there's big od, beastmaster, too many target spells), but overall morph wants apex. It's just too op not taking this because it gives u so many dmg and it scales morph overall with items like butterfly and daedalus.
That late in the game, it's about staying alive rather than more stats which has diminishing returns so Mirror Shield is recommended. Giant's Ring or even Force Boots so you can get rid of your boots for another Core item

Lower winrate is mostly player's fault because even a average morph spammer throw the game by shifting agi at wrong time and mostly cost them the game. He's a high risk high reward hero while most meta heroes are low/no risk high reward hero. Hero is innately insanely strong for a carry hero but hero isn't throwproof like dk, alche because most morph players throw while they're in agi mode.
as someone who casually plays dota nowdays i really appreciate how you breakdown these videos
Morph is so stressful for me to play, I always somehow misclick while ganked and morph all stats into agility 😂
And wonder who the hell is bust damaging me and killing me in 2 seconds.. and then oh yeh full agi

Have you been trying Flow its pretty fun and unique very different from Ebb. Feels like a new hero, with a new playstyle sort of.

this flow build i always use it when i face doom,lc or AA,it works for me
The only thing I hate from morph is his atk range. I had to build dragon lance against melee carries like ursa because the atk range is short.
You can go lance sometimes but you usually don't need to.
this was a really good guide, just hit divine. will definitely use this knowledge to climb

Ngo he feels super broken, getting butterfly after being ahead is super op
Not gonna ohmygod
Not gonna OoohHhhhh
I wanna ask, why do most of the pros only get lvl 1 on adaptive strike
Just to help with last hitting ranged creep
All is well and all, but what if your opposing carry is an anti-mage? What's the build/strat around that?
bkb refresher?
Don't get caught in a 1v1 against am. Hit your item timing and group up with your team. Butterfly helps but it's a luxury item

build aghanims and replicate AM.

no

Good tip, you should write that as the comment so I can super like it and it gets pushed to the top. As mentioned, I had limited time.
Is playing morph as offlane still a thing? That meta was fun😁
haha no
Hes strong from lvl1 to lvl 30. Needs to be nerfed at some point, sooner the better
I still think DK is stronger but I can see the argument. Morph is also slower to come online
Statistically, DK has less of a winrate but I also prefer DK in my general pub games.
Sorry but morph just has so many buttons to use, then swapping to heros throws off my set up keys.
Even with keys on my mouse :(
In the video, I say swapping is not that great here. It's just right click
the morphling of today isnt even Morph focused anymore
So if attributes are really important, would I be right to say the tier 5 neutral item "apex" is the best neutral item for morphling
I think overall yes, but neutral items are situational
for me personally Mirror Shield is the priority because 60nmis is too late and you will get chain lockeddown if u are caught
apex too op for morph, like u always want to have it
