I keep saying this, but Müller is the perfect player-manager if Kompany is sacked. Perfect football iq, great tactical understanding, face of Bayern, gets along with everyone, is already a leader at the club, and bayern like former players as managers.
Fr that's what I always say
No. Nearly all the coaches who go straight from player to top flight coaching usually fails spectacularly. They need to do some coaching at lower levels or as assistants...
He'll probably become our manager in less than 10 years
@@jimbob-robobyou're right , it's not because you got a high football IQ that you would be a good coach , you need some high level of management skill , a good formation about football tactique and what fit his team the best .
It's would be better and safer for bayern to take a coach with some at least experience in coaching at the highest level.
@@Mahi-ir7ejif one of those managers with experience wanted to join them, sure. But they don’t.
They should have never sacked Nagelsman in the first place
bagelsmann is ass anyway hes gonna be on fraud watch this euro
Yes
Both Nagelsmann and Tuchel are overrated and didn't reach the players. They probably should have kept Flick or get a manager like Glasner or Rangnick earlier
@@Kessra there was no reason to sack Nagelsman though, he was arguably a better manager than Vincent Kompany
@@coolmoody3804 Nagelsmann was sacked before Tuchel took over. At that time Kompany was probably never on Bayerns shortlist anyway. Bayern even wanted Nagelsmann back but he refused to stay with the German natinal squad, understandably.
And to be fair, I never heard of Kompany before till today :D
This shows how toxic the pressure for success has become in football, and the unrealistic demands of elite/rich board members and media...
Football can be very funny, it's a game afterall and you still need a lot of luck. Even with the perfect players, formation and manager, you can still lose. Boards have almost zero patience even more nowadays. Chelsea shouldn't have sacked tuchel, bayern shouldn't have sacked nagelsmann.
@@yinkao_ Nagelsmann deserved his sack. Team sheets and dressing room encounters kept leaking to the press but nobody knew how.
They later found out it was Nagelsmann's girlfriend who is a reporter for BILD, the leading journo on sports in Germany. She was the one getting info and she was using her connection through him
Since they sacked him, have you heard of player altercations, board room spats etc again? No you haven't because the leak has been snuffed out and cleared.
@@yinkao_ Boards also got pressured by sponsors and other stakeholders. Bayern is the biggest club in German. Yes luck is involved but they were poor this season. When I said this season. It means a season of 34 games. not a playoff like champions league. Tactical is involved more than luck. Bayern is like PSG a team that's too good for their own league. Winning their league is a must as their true competition is outside their league. The UCL. Where champions of Europe assembled. That's their standard. Indeed, Leverkusen has been brilliant this season. Despite that, it's also obvious that Bayern were underperforming. You can see this only if you watch their game. Kane is a great creator as a number 9. He offers a new dimension compared to lewa. He's the type that alleviate others around him. but bayern has been playing feeding the 9 tactic for so long with Lewa. The real question is do they really need a new dimension unlocked by Kane? or do they need another poacher like lewa instead of a creator like Kane? as for Nagelsmann if you follow the 'gossip' you'll know why he got sacked.
@@TheLitoshithey already debunked this. yes it happened but was not a reason
@@TheLitoshi Nah it was cuz of the fact they ain't winning the sextuple for the 3rd time like my man could've won a Bundesliga for Kane but got sacked cuz Bayern ain't winning a sextuple? 😭😭

It's not tuchels fault
It's the bayern management

If Tuchel couldn't finish 1st even after giving Madrid a hard time
Then we can't underestimate Bundesliga
But Tuchel hasn't been great in the league, with Chelsea he was struggling but in UCL he won them the trophy and always look competitive
@@Hezz3 yeah, that's also true
He's a champions league material
He always gives madrid heart attacks
let me tell you one thing. Madrid is a team that won games while resisting pressure instead of truly dominating the game. It's been their module for the past seasons. Pass the ball to Rodrygo and Vini for the first 60 minutes and pass the ball to Modric after for the rest minutes. Heck I guess they would even struggle against Leipzig only to win the game. Dominating Madrid isn't something honorable. the true test come after 60th minute mark. Just like United had Fergie's time and Leverkusen has Xabi's time. Madrid also has their Ancelotti's time. modric is the marker. you see him subbed on. you see the ancelotti's time. but still. Bundesliga shouldn't be underestimated. just like any other top teams in europe. Even lens used to beat Arsenal 4-1.
Bayern didn't give Madrid that hard of a time.
City pushed Madrid way more than Bayern ever did
But its also like you forgot that Germany has other trophies...
Knocked out by a second division team I think and can't qualify for another trophy as they finished third in a two horse race

Vincent Kompany dragged Burnley from being a struggling club to winning the championship easily to earn promotion to the Premier league... but he didn't get the support to improve his squad but still continued with his football philosophy... With the quality at Bayern he will be a great success..... Wait and you will see!!!!!
What are you talking about? Burnley's net spend is 7th out of the 20 clubs.
@@damienlee927 Burnley spent £91 on transfers last season!.... Do you think that's enough to challenge in the PL? .... Yes in the championship it might have been impressive but you'd struggle to get a really top player or two with that kind of money, certainly not enough to thrive in the PL... Net spend is not relevant when you've just stepped up to the PL.....
Bayern is Not gonna dominate like they used to robben ribery etc

Feed bad for Kane
You forgot to list Oliver Glasner as manager who did not join Bayern. He at least said he in general had interest but as he joined Crystal Palace just weeks before, bad timing. CP would have let him go for 100 million € basically which would have been by far the most expensive manager transfer ever. (The current most expensive manager transfer is actually Oliver Glasner as well :D)
Actually, th most expensive manager was Julian Naggelsman from RB Leipzig to Bayern.
@@pedromarques5596 Oh, ok. I just heard that Glaser was the most expensive manager before. Just shows how fast things in football nowadays change and that transfer fees are far beyond what is reasonable IMO

Bad move for Kompany too honestly. Anything besides winning the title will be deemed a total failure by the club and he’s the type of manager who needs experience and time to implement his ideas.
hot take. fact is, kompany might never be a manger of a club this big again, he would have to be dead brain to say no. wont work out but he has to try
Good move for Kompany
Tuchel put the bar on the ground
Trophy-less season and third
Bayern have one of the best teams in the league and should be able to win a trophy if managed properly
2nd and a trophy would be a success and would give him another year to win the league
Huge opportunity and if he can turn Bayern around from its negative trajectory then he's be instantly one of the hottest young managers
He's young and he can always move on to another club and build something then. But he'll most likely never get the chance to manage a club as big as Bayern ever again. So he's thinking why on earth would he turn it down
Christoph Freund is one of the worst directors in bayern history... i agree sacking naglesman was a mistake but sacking kahn and hasan was even a bigger mistake... they had passion and vision for this club...
Kahn not, was a toxic person. Brazzo not sure, but the fact that Flick left because of troubles with him was also not a good sign. But Brazzo did do some good transfers.
Freund still needs the time to prove himself, he is not even there for a full season. We will see what the tandem Eberl / Freund / Kompany can do the coming months.
@@_clemens_ The first season under Freund was embarrassing.... but I will support my club no matter what they do... I am just sad tbh.... I was not sure about the Harry Kane signing as well... I was wrong and I am really glad I was wrong.... and I want to be wrong again about Kompany.... but I think we can agree the current Bayern situation is not pretty rn...
@@Ravemann-py1vo
Freund arrived in July 2023...you have to give him at least 2-3 seasons for a fair evaluation.
Things where also not pretty when Kovac left (already the season before where they barely got the title)...and a few months later they won the triple. Everything can change quickly. A season with > 70 points, semi finals CL almost final does not sound too bad to me.
Bayern wasting a bit less points could have easily had 80 points this season...Leverkusen was just outstanding.
I agree the football did not look nice too often, but at some point this will return.
Biggest trouble in the club for me atm is the amount of media leaks, the amount of useless public discussions between people (like Hoenes and Tuchel) etc.
It would be Bayern like if they would just close then ranks and together go back to playing well again.
Kahn and Brazzo were awful. Needed to be sacked.
They should have sacked/blocked Höhneß and Rummenigge as they always blamed others, especially the ones they didn't install themselves. They still behave much like the grandpa's at the balcony of the Muppets show, just with a lot of influence.
Freund and Eberl are not long enough at the club yet to be fully responsible for what happened behind the scenes. Höhneß and Tuchl had several disagreements throughout the season and as Höhneß still has a lot of power and people in the club, Freund and Eberl probably partnered with Höhneß to prevent medial exposure of the conflict - at least my theory. You clearly could see how Tuchel got more and more passive towards the end of the season due to the constant arguments with Höhneß. Some of the managers that refused Bayerns offer even were said to refuse the offer because of Höhneß and his constant interventions.
Anyone else think it will all end in tears?
Y'all are acting like he'll be such a failure look at it from his perspective he's 38 having only managed a relegated Burnley and just got the fattest paycheck to work for one of the biggest clubs in the world 💀. He'll most likely never get that chance ever again so yh I think it will end in tears of laughter and not sadness 😂
People are making fun of Kompany. But he is gonna surprise everyone. By relegating Munich that is.
I said the same thing. And if next season it's successful, you'll see all these haters disappear and hide in their caves. And others will become glory hunters. 😅
Man utd won the fa cup 🎉
Finished 8th in the league, definitely a huge achievement for a mid table club, well done 👏👏👏

Pretty ballsy of Kompany to accept the offer.

I love how bayern cant just buy the current best coach in the bundesliga - Alonso - and kill the competition before it becomes a long term threat
First they hired Kane and they couldn't win the league. Now they hire Kompany so they would want to get relegated
Sacking Nagelsmann was a blunder
Given Bayern's resource, fame, status and massive talent pool, you would expect them hiring someone who is more experienced with a more successful background.
Kompany just led his last team to relegation, yet Bayern approached him for the job.
there are good managers that are free out there, Mourinho, Graham Potter, De Zerbi, Xavi, to name a few, yet Bayern don't even try them.
I think the management is just looking for a yes man and a scape goat for the next future failures.

Something is wrong at Bayern. United 2.0
Kompany: Leads Burnley to relegation
Bayern Munich:TAKE MY MONEY!
The problem is that Xabi Alonso, Guardiola, Xavi, Zidane, Pirlo, Arteta etc. they were all playmakers (midfield players) during their career, which makes them much more diverse in their vision both in terms of attack and defence. Don't think that a former destructive defender can teach too much in terms of attack. Similar as Gennaro Gattuso and Fabio Cannavaro. Great as defenders, but unable to achieve anything noticeable as coaches.
I wish they give him time to put his philosophy together
They have a lesbian woman as team manager. That is why NOBODY wants to coach Bayern. They have gone completely insane to appoint a woman team manager to a man's football team. I foresee a grim future for Bayern Munich.
All d best Kompany⚽️🙏

Harry Kane just doesn't have luck.
