I said myself that they were in the kpop circuit. but that doesn't make them a kpop group in people's eyes. The CEO of Blackswan said it himself, he took the risk of starting a group with western members. just like a few years ago the industry took the risk of starting groups with japanese or chinese members and given our historical past with these nations it could cause problems and controversy (and it did) but now many idols are japanese, chinese or thai. well it's the same here. maybe Blackswan will end up being recognized by the public or maybe not, time will tell. but for me it's more of an experimental group than a real kpop group. we are quite attached to our culture and our industry. we want our artists to continue singing in korean and we want to export ourselves but we want westerners to appreciate our songs in korean. The English don't force themselves to sing in Korean, Chinese or Japanese when they tour with us. Well, we don't want our artists to sing more and more in English. There have always been English speeches in our songs, but for a few years now it's become more and more common and entire songs are in English.
