Matt, thanks so much! Since I was younger I had always wanted to be a hairdresser but got put off it by family. Later on in life in my late thirties, i decided to train in hair. Finally! I only had two years training which wasn’t enough. So I come online and watch your videos and learn everything, it honestly has been the best thing as I’m not able to get further education in person to person unfortunately. So this is such a blessing. Thank you so much for sharing.

Thanks so much for sharing Matt. I love long layers in my hair but every time I ask for them at my hairdressers they get it wrong and I have to live with crappy, choppy layers until they grow, then I go back to the hairdresser and give them another go and still they get it wrong!! It is so frustrating and annoying that I spend so much time growing my hair and then spend $100 for them to cut my hair into a style which is nothing like what I asked for. I'm so over going to the hairdresser and not getting what I want. I saw this video and this is exactly the style I've been asking for - doesn't seem so difficult to me and I would've thought it should be easy for a hairdresser to achieve a nicely styled, long layered haircut - but NO. I'm going to attempt this cut myself because I'm so annoyed with the terrible haircuts I keep getting. Thank you again for teaching us the skills

It’s not as easy as it seems. He has been cutting hair for a LONG TIME. If you think it’s easy please go get some shears and let’s see what you come out with. Then maybe you’ll be more understanding. Stylist are always learning and growing their skills. Haircutting is very hard it takes repetition over and over and many mistakes to master the art of it. You’ll never appreciate a hairstylist until you’re in their shoes trying to please a client who thinks the haircut they want should be so easy as to achieve & that same person has never cut hair a day in their life … the audacity. I bet your results of you attempting THIS cut on yourself didn’t even come close to the bad results you got by the stylist & you went back to the salon

First of all thanks for your sarcastic and nasty reply "Cupcakes." I did do this cut on myself and it was easy and exactly what I wanted and I would never go back to that salon and waste any more of my money just to have a disappointing result and have to wait for my hair to regrow. You say I am audacious for expecting to get a haircut that I pay over $100 for. If you are paying money for a service, don't you expect to get what you pay for? We as clients are not wanting you to experiment or make your mistakes on our hair and still have to pay for rubbish haircuts. If someone asks for a style and the hairdresser doesn't think that it is possible then THEY SHOULD SAY SO, not attempt it in the hope to please the client and then produce something that looks nothing like. Not once have I had a hairdresser say what I am after is not possible. They usually act like its not a problem, but end up with something completely different. Asking for long layers is not rocket science. It's a simple style and if "I" can achieve it without any training other than a RUclips video then I am damn sure that a hairdresser SHOULD have no problem doing it. If YOU are a hairdresser that can't provide clients with what they ask for THEN FOR GOD SAKE JUST TELL THEM. Stop having a problem with clients complaining - it's YOUR fault for not being HONEST about what you can achieve!! @@mzdebbiecakes23

Where do you get your mannequins and tripod for practising?

El secador es para calentar el cepillo y marcar el cabello. No para aplastar la boquilla entre el cepillo y el cabello, así se estropean las dos cosas. Ha y la laca tampoco se pone en la entrepierna para sujetar el envase.
