Living in Brisbane we spend the same amount per week as you do a month on all the items you mentioned(except for rent, our mortgage is about 2.5 times your monthly rent per week), it really is nuts. A lot of the things you said in your other video about why you’re not coming back really resonated with me, the life we expected to live really evaporated before our eyes in the last few years. Respect to you for making the change ✌️
Unfortunately its all western countries. They ruined it with flooding markets with false money which has caused this hyper inflation with housing and now everything. So many people in my age group are thinking of leaving and going to such places or spain Portugal. Brisbane now is insane. Everyone looks so tired and wornout Good luck
Best way I found in se Asia is to always carry bribe money. I got in with the head copppers son in law and could of bought citizenship for $6500 if I wished it. I lived there for 9 months fixing up a 40ft catamaran but the best place I found was Cambodia. For one it's Buddhist not Muslim so the national psyche is a lot more welcoming and accepting. The landscape is stunning from top to bottom. The beaches on the coastline are beautiful. But the real thing is how cheap everything is. Even labour, so there are endless possibilities to build up a business and export
Try highest comfortable temperature for your air cond. You will save more when you get used to it. Once your body is fully adapted to our climate, you may not need to turn AC on. Especially on rainy days.
Exactly, that's what I found. The seasons are hot, cold and wet. The difference between hot and cold is 4 degrees so it's nothing like here. The climate is one of the biggest appeals
Asia? Try living in Singapore , Taiwan, Hong Kong or Japan in a big city even on 10k Aussie for a family of 4.Australia is a bargain compared. Why do you think your rents and housing prices are so steep? Who do you think is renting or buying up these properties? Even rich Indians are investing in Australia.
Yes. We should ban non citizens from being able to purchase land in Australia. I leased a hotel in Cambodia as i was unable to buy it, that way land was cheap so the locals could afford to buy. We've shot ourselves in the foot as our leaders aren't focused on controlling inflation. If anything they're enjoying it as it increases tax income to cover all their fuck ups. I won't retire here, i'd be mad too. One sure way to go broke in Oz is to sit on your arse. I was making $3k a week as a chippie, had a heart attack that wasn't covered in my insurance, and the sickness benefit paid $204 a week at that time, which was about 10 years ago. Made me realise the fine print in these dodgy insurance policies. They'll do anything to get out of paying up.
@@matthillard9363 sorry to hear about your heart attack. Insurance is the same everywhere. They try to weasel out of keeping their end of the bargain. In Malaysia foreigners can only buy property above 1 Million Ringgit in price, in some states like Penang 2 million. In Singapore foreigners pay 60% stamp duty. That is likw 600K on a million and you can hardly find anything below 1 Million Singdollars there. So perhaps the Oz govt should do more. However foreigners in Oz can only buy new build so perhaps it is immigrants driving prices up. The Asians who migrate there tend to be the wealthier ones. Your prices arent high all to them.
