The amount of hype I felt during the L19 Throne and Throne II fights was unbelievable, the first NT stream I've watched in like 4 years and my god it was a worthwhile one to catch, just incredible work!

so im new to nuclear throne. why do you avoid the rads? wouldnt it be better to speedrun mutations? or does level somehow affect the difficulty?
he was using a crown that gives you a free mut but when you level up you get one random mutation insted of 4, he avoided the rads until changed crown and he got a free mut

I used to abuse crown of hatred and the proto chest to get the extra crown of evolution mutation lol. What you do is obviously way more efficient lol. I personally like stress and ultra A on YV just 'cause. I know it's not optimal, but sometimes i don't get trigger fingers and am too bored to start over, so I just meme around with an energy screwdriver and normal plasma cannon lol.

- Perfect 9, where you get the best 9 mutations in the game: Strong Spirit, Trigger Fingers, Long Arms, Rhino Skin, Scarier Face, Plutonium Hunger, Stress, Bloodlust, Laser Brain.
- Loop 12+.
- Freeze frames lag the game more, making things easier to react to, but since the run is already 10 hours without freeze frames, it'd be way too long if I used them all the time. Palace and crystal caves are the areas where having more reaction time benefits the most, so I turn them on there to have a bit more safety.
- Energy Sword or Lightning Hammer. Energy Screwdriver is also good in L2, but you can't use it in L3+ since the shanks automatically explode the grenades the freak cops drop.
What are you using to get the new in-between level messages? I've never seen them before

It's better than picking no crown because cursed chests can have higher level weapons than normal chests.
