Old and New, one of the things I like about NYC is the lack of strip mall, cheap, short term buildings. Most of the buildings and architecture is enjoyable to look at. Thanks for sharing. -Henry
Wished i could have walked with you on this journey and narrated it with you. Among the highlights were Joe's Pizza ( famous NYC slices), Rocco's Italian Bakery on Bleecker Dt, Faicco's Italian Pork store for awesome Italian sub's on Bleecker St, John's Pizza Restaurant and around the corner on Bleecker St and 7th Ave south; my favorite pizza spot, Bleecker Street Pizza. There was Commerce St and the Cherry Lane Theater ( off Broadway playhouse), The skinniest townhouse in NYC where Edna St Vincent Millay and John Barrymore lived , just around the corner on Bedford St, St Lukes in the Field garden on Hudson Street next to the church, Chumley's Speakeasy on Bedford St . Our Lady of Pompei Church at Carmine St. The best parts of the West Village encompass streets further north and west i.e Little West 12th St, Bethune St, Bank St, W 12th St, Perry and Charles Streets, West 11th and W 10th St and Christopher Street.. Beautiful townhouses, quaint cafes and restaurants, the West Village has a different vibe than Greenwich Village to the east and the East Village further east. One of the most affluent parts of the city...off the grid. Nice video...keep up the good work.
Very nice video !! ... west Village is very cool !! ... ahh excellent video of the Downtown Brooklyn that you published yesterday !!! thank you very much actionkid 💝👌👍
One of my favorite walks you've taken. When I was younger I wanted to move here to be where all the writers, musicians, and artists were.I wasn't into the drug culture, but the creative power was here.I never made it,and though it's not like it was, this is close enough. Thanks for making this old lady happy,ActionKid.Take care.*Would love to go to that rare records store!**As always, love the architecture!
I used to work on Bleecker St. and most people get lost because of the way the streets are situated and because there are street names rather than all number streets. I love the village because it's calm. Thanks 😉
that's right...it's off the grid... streets can be confusing ... You can find West 4th St intersecting with West 10th , West 11th and West 12th Streets..
After coming back to Texas from New York I've got to give you MAJOR props!! Idk how these New Yorkers can stand walking so much especially in the cold lolol they must be used to it. During this whole trip my feet were constantly aching from walking so much lmao.
Loved the neighborhood. Must be really safe there to live. Some of those lower apartments didnt even have bars on the windows. Awesome video actionkid. Im still waiting on that business address. We- all your fans could send you gifts.
At Bedfordstreet and 7 Ave Street you where very close to the point where the movie "Wait untill dark" in 1967 was recorded starring Audry Hepburn (5 St Lukes Place). It's still the same there, nothing has changed, with a kind of a iron hook in the wall, at that time no 27B. onthesetofnewyork.com/waituntildark.html
I'm in Derby in the UK East Midlands (20 miles from Nottingham which is Robin Hood Country. This was filmed on my birthday :). I use your walks as walks on my treadmill :)
Was hoping to see the historic Stonewall Inn, site of a major uprising 50 years ago, but noticed it's on Christopher St. just north of your walk. Enjoyed your tour, actionkid.
I never really understood if West Village is a part of Greenwich Village or another neighborhood? is Meatpacking also part of West Village or Greenwich Village? 🤔
New York is a State, not only a city..and there are other cities ( other than NYC) within the State.. it's quite enormous...get a map and check it out.
What time was this done? It seems so peaceful even though you are in a crowded city on a weekday. Was this Thursday the 7th or Sat the 9th? It says both. I think of NYC as being crowded, noisy and irritating but this video is the opposite of that. There is more traffic in the suburbs than here.
I'm speechless! When I lived on Jones Street rent was $500 a month for a studio apt. I wonder what it is now? Great job! THANK YOU, actionkid105. I'm sending this video and others around to friends who might not know about your tours.

Awsome Streets With the Seconds
Hit up Broad Channel :]
The streets are always so clean whenever I watch videos of NYC. I live in California and people love to litter here. God bless NYC

Yes, There is no "backyard shed" school of architecture.
City Walks so right.
This was wonderful! Saw parts of the village I’d never seen before in my life.
Greenwich village is my favorite place in Manhattan
Great video as usual..Love this area of Manhattan. Great architecture and shops..Wish i could afford to live there..:)
Yah, Manhattan is too much costly for living 🤔
You can afford to live in the West Village if your income is at least $500,000 per annum..lol

Very cool video as always 😊
Very interesting architecture!
Thank you!

My favorite area! Thank you so much!
New York City is so big I would get lost for sure
I've been dreaming of walking around NYC since I started watching your videos
Great Vids mate, good chats & advice .. Cheers cobber.
So much history as Joel Wiener's comment showed. I wish this had your usual excellent narration.

Awesome video.
Looks like a maze.
An easy place to get mixed up. At night, the Empire State Building was always like a North Star helping to get my bearings straight.
Nailhed 66 exactly, i was always look for WTC in lower Manhattan towers and empire stare building on 34 , and then I know what direction I should go
Good video I felt I was walking on the street of New York good video bro keep it up
A ton of charm, that neighborhood.
7:28 is the "Friends" apartment building at corner of Bedford and Grove. Thanks for that!

10:38, I got kicked out of that restaurant once. I'm glad they went out of business. I wonder if a new one is there now.
Why did u get kicked out of?
Nice walk
I'm in Derby in the UK East Midlands (20 miles from Nottingham which is Robin Hood Country. This was filmed on my birthday :). I use your walks as walks on my treadmill :)
Thank you! I’m glad you found a practical use for my walking videos 😃
Hey actionkid, I can relate. I get lost everytime I go to the Village as well, lol
I actually knew where I was going the entire time 😂 But just acted like I was lost for the dramatic effect. It is easy to get lost there!
@@ActionKid 😊😊😊😊 yes, I just read your description. I just keep going to I find a subway station.
Very nice 🙂
The west village is a very nice place to go. A no nonsens aera

I can cover it in a future video
I never really understood if West Village is a part of Greenwich Village or another neighborhood? is Meatpacking also part of West Village or Greenwich Village? 🤔
West Village and Meatpacking District are sub neighborhoods of Greenwich Village.
Great.. New York ❤️❤️❤️
hey have tried any z axis stabilizer ? nice footage
No I haven’t yet
I really like your videos. Do you ever watch other peoples walking, biking, driving videos?
Yes I do! They’re a great way to visit an area without physically being there.
Where is "upstate new york" and could you walk there one day?
Anywhere north of the Bronx. I could do it someday if I happen to be in the area. I have done several hiking videos near the Cold Spring area as well.
New York is a State, not only a city..and there are other cities ( other than NYC) within the State.. it's quite enormous...get a map and check it out.

It was on the 7th, I made a typo in the video description. Thanks for pointing it out! I filmed this around 5:00PM.

Wow $500 a month!
Can’t wait for leaves on those trees
Stonewall inn??
Stonewall Inn is on Christopher Street just off 7th Ave South.. This video doesn't pass it , although the kid was across the street from it.
I didn’t walk past it in this video but I can cover it in the future
Muito legal! Obrigado
Is your camera affixed to something, or are you holding it as you walk?
I’m holding it on a gimbal as I walk
Nice. Very smooth. Just curious, no one seems to notice or care you are filming.
10:42 The shortest scaffolding I've ever seen.
Super, getting lost in this part of NY
10:45 Tak tak nawet Sylwia mi tak mowila
Lots of celebs in these hard to find townhouses. I've seen many late night in restaurants.
Care to tell us which celebs?
Good
Lot of pizza stores around! Good to know haha
7:28 see no one told you life was gonna be this waaaaaaaaaaaay 😊
Nice walking video 👌 without your voice. Missing your commentary. 🤔
"I'm New York city eh and you're the West Village"
The Village used to be full of artists, musicians, poets, writers and such. Now it's just yuppies and hipsters.
Changing times. Would have liked to been there for all the arts.
Not a word ha?....so much history around the village! I guess you were really confused!
I knew exactly where I was going!
Lost? I think it was great it showed a lot in the West Village(everyday life). How about a few more?😄😀👍
Haha, I wasn’t actually lost. It’s just added for dramatic effect. It’s a running joke how it’s so easy to get lost because of the street grid.
