Great interview with Colin. I think the very first time I heard him was at Grossmans on Spadina. That was eons ago and its nice to see Colin's musical trajectory.
I saw Colin play yesterday at Ottawa's Hope Volleyball festival with Blackie and Rodeo Kings. Colin's guitar tone was just mind blowing good....his electric dobro with overdrive and delay was incredibly inspiring; so much so that I've deciced buy an electric dobro and jump right in.
Amazing interview, I have been a big fan of Colin for many years! I just love his playing with Bruce Cockburn who is one of my favorites of course! When I found out he was with Blackie I was so excited because he was already one of my favorite guitar players and I just got to open for Tom Wilson back in the fall 98 at a club called the Dungeon in Oshawa Ontario around the same time when I discovered that they were playing together in Blackie and the Rodeo Kings! Great work Arie!
