I remember playing WT a few years ago Tiger 2. It was really fun, you didn't have the mobility but you had armor, you could ricochet. Now you are being killed by small light vehicles without armor, from the front, to the top plate. Your projectiles go right through without doing any damage. Where WW2 vehicles have to fight vehicles from the 1970s. Fair.

I agree with HEAT-FS stuff but Tigers did face Centurion Mk. 1s in WWII with APDS rounds so that's justified. Facing HEAT is just bullshit but you can't help it unless there is a clear demarcation between WWII tanks and post war tanks.

The developers should really read Alexander Volgin's book, it's full of firing test results on both thd KT and Is3 armour, at this distance this is more like comedy
Well it comes down to this. Warthunder has angling but also volumetric armor/shells meaning that it isn't just the angle but the material and thickness of it. Some rounds operate best against flat surfaces, others don't mind angles at all. Another factor is the size of the shell versus what it is hitting. If the round is massive it might just CRUSH through small pieces, small rounds might pass through gaps and ignore some armor(I.E it is technically possible to fire a round a barrel and break the gun) It is best to take your tanks/planes/boats and put them into the X-ray and test the rounds of similar B.R tanks to see what does what when being hit. Remember many of tank in WoT had their armor being re-balance overtime. Example STB-1 in wot had more front turret armor after they buffed it in 2019. Unlike WoT, STB-1 in WT doens't possess such armor so you can't use the same armor angling method from wot. And last since overpressure mechanic has been added recently angling from derp gun 120mm and up will almost impossible. So best of luck learning the game.
As the poster mentioned above, armor is closer to the real deal and overpressure can just vaporize a tank by either hull break(basically the very structure falling apart/welds breaking apart) to crews being effectively liquefied in the tank from massive amounts of pressure hitting it
