Hey, I enjoy your videos a lot and your way of thinking feels very close. Gaming was/is a big key in my transition since I always was choosing male characters (unless I felt pressured to choose the female one when playing with someone). I started Transition in my 30s and I never thought before that I could have the freedom myself in real life before, just because I was bound to gender roles and expectations (others but also very my own).
I want to thank you for your very open and honest videos, I can imagine it is not very easy. You are very charming Daan!
PS: I do not play Palworld yet, saw Lets Plays and felt bad killing the sweet pals :D but since you are playing it, I might give it a chance. I mostly play FFXIV.

Thanks and glad you enjoy the videos! Thanks for sharing!
Yes, I do kinda feel bad killing the pals, but most of the time I just try to keep them alive and just catch them, so they can work in my base (but that is also a bit questionable of course.. 😅..)

Hey Daan. Currently I'm playing God of War Ragnarök. Finished the main quest and I'm now working on getting 100% in each realm. Have been playing for almost 50 hours now. I always played male characters if I could choose and always used the same name. In 2018 I discovered the name Joaquin and have been using it since. I love to follow your journey. I live in Antwerp so the info you give is somewhat more accurate/similar to Belgium than from people who live in the US or the UK. I came out last year and I'm starting T in May. So excited for it! I hope to see more from you and your wonderful walks. I also love hiking and I'm always on the look for some nice places.

Ohh Ragnarök, I really want to play that game as well. But I haven't played any other GoW games. So I'm kinda hesitating a bit, don't know if it would be better to play some other GoW games fist.
Great you can start T in May! Just a few months to go :)

Excellent topic. My friend had a wrestling game where you can make your own male and female characters. I made a whole much of different characters "trying on" my different names until I found the one that felt right for me. It really does help to play games where you can pick and design yourself/character.
I have to admit a little jealousy in a good way because your voice is lower than mine. I transitioned later in life (mid 30's) so my voice didn't change at all. I try to talk lower, but still get called "mam" or "miss" over the phone. I had one place ask me where my husband was so they could talk to him 🤦🫣
Something just picked my brain, I've never asked my partner if he would design himself as a female character to see what he would come up with 🤔 We used to be closer before my transition, but also he's slowly becoming more open to being seen in public with me which is nice. (His mom raised him to think that gay was a sin, and being I'm ftm, it isn't sitting well with him or his family)
Right now I'm playing Zelda tears of the kingdom, but now that you mention it, I bought Skyrim years ago and never opened it 😅 I hope you have a good day, thank you for this, I never really put thought into the reason I love games where designing your own characters can be therapeutic and freeing. 😊

Thanks! Can imagine the voice not changing is kinda frustrating. But also, people asking to speak to your husband instead of you, in general is just rude imo. Doesn't matter if your'e male, female or non binary, just speak to the person you have in front of you . But anyway, I love how you two are together and it sounds to me you guys are really working on the relationship, which sounds amazing.

Have you tried Elder Scrolls Online? They've got a very diverse cast of NPCs. I've also really been enjoying Return to Moria lately.
It's funny-- I almost always play male characters when the choice is available, and my husband prefers playing female characters. His reasoning: "If I'm going to stare at a butt for hours on end, it's going to be a butt I _want_to stare at." (Most of my D&D characters are also male.)
Off-topic: My name-change paperwork went through! Now comes the grind of replacing all my ID and bank cards.
Glad to hear you're having a good time with Palworld. If there's not too much focus on PvP, I'll have to check it out.

I thing I've tried ESO when it just came out, but the server back then were overcrowded. So it wasn't really a fun experience .
      Like your husbands reasoning 😁.
      Congrats with the paperwork!!

What kind of characters did you play in WoW? I just recently stopped playing Classic, myself. I discovered while playing Everquest that I could express my feminine side while playing a female character, and that was very freeing.

I played mainly horde trolls (hunter, druid: dps). I stopped playing a while ago because of all the expansions.. I kinda do like the new one they announced though. But I don't really want to pay every month for the game anymore.

Is this real or is this a joke? Because I don't know if I should type something funny?
