I think she meant violins -- not violence = )
The saddest guy in the world is the guy playing this for Biscute. Losing Biscute is more pain than a guy could handle.
Pure blue eyed soul.
The dreamy look on your face says that you have joined the thousands, nay, hundreds of thousand girls who have fallen in love with this song.
"Soul and Inspiration" is another great Righteous Brothers song. Bill Medley is the baritone and Bobby Hatfield is the tenor.
That one is incredible. They don’t have a bad song, but that’s my favorite.
Someone, can you please request the right version of "Soul and Inspiration" for Bisscute.. the Black and White version that is usually reacted to, like this one in it's 'look'. Thanks
No auto tune. Just real talent!
Your an old fashion girl at heart.cant compare today's self promoting artists with past performances. although talent may be the same.not many phil specter's producing songs.a mad genius 😮.
Bisscute....the "starry" look in your eyes as you listened to this song, spoke volumes on how much you loved this song and duo.
The old stuff is special. There's an innocence to it
What popular music in that era had that today's pop music lacks, is Class. The Righteous Brothers in this song embody Class.
I'd say also ORIGINALITY, TALENT, QUALITY, and of course your term....CLASS. Not every kid walking down the street had the talent to be a star. Today....anyone that can write a crude rhyme is a star. Bad.
@@rds990 You do still find those first three qualities occasionally, but no one performs like this any more.
In 64 I was 7. This is one of the songs I remember my parents dancing to. I grew up listening to the Big Bands of the 40’s & 50’s. That all changed in 1969 when my grandmother gave me my first rock album, CCR. This song does bring back great childhood memories!😌
What a great way to start my morning, the Righteous Brothers and Bisscute. Another song like this would be: Unforgettable by Nat King Cole. Elegant singer, romantic song, most dynamic voice of any of the classic crooners.
I told you this before, but this song was repopularized after it was used in "Top Gun", and the same for the other one you heard, "Unchained Melody", after being in the 90s movie "Ghost". So these tend to be the two songs by them that everyone knows. "Soul and Inspiration" is another good one.
Bill Medley, the deep voiced one, also did a duet with Jennifer Warnes for a song specifically made for the soundtrack of the 80s movie "Dirty Dancing" called "I've Had The Time Of My Life", which became a big hit at the time. You should check out the song and the movie. There's actually so much good music in that movie that they released two soundtrack albums. Including a song sung by Patrick Swayze, the actor and star of that movie, called "She's Like The Wind", which I actually love.
Definitely do this, Bisscute. 🤘
Watched him sing this on the Andy Williams show
Live awesome singing of that song makes me cry today in 2023😢 iam 81yrs.old.
Yeah hear you. We were there when these guys first hit the scene. Tell you what we didn't have stereo in our vehicles everything was on shitty AM but tell you what when this first came out I heard it in my car and had to pull over. Everly's atta Canada were on fire back then as well they got it all started along with Elvis. Big O as well. Tell you what Big O had some incredible range Hatfield and Gene Pitney reminded me of him. Weren't the days. Later on Steve Perry came along in the 70's and 80's. He''s the only singer I thought in these guy's league. 81 here too.
Soul an inspiration.rightous brothers brill
G
Many I believe would agree that this is one of the best lost love songs in the history of music. After all these decades it still stands in the top level of performances.
It’s beautiful ❤️
Knew as soon as I saw the song you were going to be reacting to that you would enjoy it. Then again, to be honest, this is a song that clearly holds up decades later.
the difference is actual talent. the difference is heart.
Bisscute has a soft spot for the Righteous brothers.... so cute...
So happy you reacted to this classic. And these guys had incredible class, and were always an excellent duo. “(You’re My) Soul and Inspiration” is guaranteed to please, and the deep-voiced Brother did a solo song called “See That Girl”.
Soul with a Capital "S:" Produced by Phil Spector and his wall of sound.
Fun facr. During the performance one of the female backing vocalists is a 17year old Cher
Bright Angel Miss Bisscute, you shine like the full Moon over the Ocean or Diamonds on Black Velvet when you melt into a song you like.
I always enjoy your witty and charming commentary of the music you play. Keep up the good work.
The word is CLASS and actual singing talent! No place to hide a weak voice
This is the most radio-played song of the 20th century. For good reason!
I grew up in this time, it was a lot better than now..........I miss this time.
What is there to say, I’m Scots and this tune was an old tune played at funerals in Scotland a couple of centuries ago
Love to see you swoon! It's the absolute best when you swoon in your reactions! ☺
The best, no one will ever be them. I am so done - love it!
They are amazing ❤️
I like how you smile with your eyes when you luv the song
Haha thanks, glad you like it ❤️
A forgotten time that needs to be remebered
One of the backup singers in the background is a young Cher
Percy Sledge When a man loves a woman. This song has been covered many times but nobody does it better than Percy.
The song they tried to sing in the bar near the beginning of Top Gun. Sounds so much better when these two sing it.
I grew up listening to this stuff due to my father always playing 60's music around the house. The Righteous Brothers were one of his favorites. Bobby Hatfield, the man with the deep voice was always my favorite. It was so cool how one had the deep voice and the other had the high voice. They meshed perfectly together.
Bobby Hatfield was the tenor (high voice) and Bill Medley the baritone 🙂
Your commentary is right on. I am 79 yrs. old and the Righteous Brothers were such a part of my life so dreamy and wonderful.
Basically 30 seconds is all it takes....You can tell by her face.
Loved your reaction. At the 1.05 mark, you were totally engrossed...and then you just gave in to
that was so nice i just seen you fall in love with the music😍😍😍🙂🙂🙂
Earic Burden and the Animals were one of the first bands to feature an electric piano, he was twenty two or twenty three at the time he made this video. He was ahead of his time.
Bisscute nice go way back 1964 my oh my, I 5:01 was 9yo, you were negative 32 or 34... Great Reaction you always surprise me. Thank You, family wholesomeness.. Be Safe Be Well, Humble and Kind Always...❤❤❤
You are pure joy
Thank you
soul and inspiration...will not disappoint
I've watched your reaction to this song many times and doesn't get old. This is my favorite reaction to this song.
I wish I was born back then to see them live in concert. Magical! So classy real men
Joe Cocker, "With a little help from my friends" Guarantee you'll like it
As Long As It's His Legendary & Iconic Woodstock Performance Video.
The proper heterosexual female respond to first hearing that song should be shock and passion, so you passed the test…
DID IT AGAIN ...! this was absolute sweetness from above, the video, the reaction...ill prolly watch this again
This song was the most played record on American radio in the 20th century.
The Rightous Brothers melting ɓearts !
You were melted !
Love ya!
Your appreciation of the style and sophistication of this generation of performers, is so heartwarming. You know real quality musicianship, and the effort involved in delivering a quality product to its intended audience. And that’s why I am subscribed to your channel.
I hope any potential suitor is taking notes, because I have a suspicion that you will not settle for second best, and so you shouldn’t. ❤️
ahh, so class and style are important to you, too! ♥
Righteous brothers are best known for: Unchained melody, You're my soul and inspiration, also Summertime and there's at least one more I've heard i really like. Some of the most professional vocalists ever.
Bobby Hatfield's "Summertime" has some serious juice.
This song has been giving that exact reaction for decades
1964 was a awesome year. That's when I was born lol. Got to grow up hearing the best music that will ever bless us again.
the tall one Bill Medley sang last year in Cincinnati and when I got in the Army at boot camp we heard them on the jute- box everyone thought they were soul brothers.💚
Couldn't resist listening. This is pure talent and no gimmicks, such soul and character by both of them.
It will always be special.
So much style! Wonderful!
It's so wonderful to see someone your age to 'get it'.
Thanks, its a great song
The one who started singing first is the one who sang ''I've Had The Time Of My Life'' from Dirty Dancing
Oh?
The first time I heard of this song was in top gun. And My Mom said yeah it was around when I was in highschool.🤦 The songs we don't know as teenagers 🙄 glad you know it now
And this was recorded live, back when there was no auto tune. When singers actually were able to sing.
You may check out Home Free. Acapella with vocal percussionist. They sing country, rock and roll, R&B, everything. One that I like is Seven Bridges Road and Ring of Fire, and Man of Constant Sorrow
I reacted to Home Free Man of Constant Sorrow, feel free to check it out ♥
As an aside, this song was No 1 and No 2 in the UK charts - at the same time!! The other version was by UK singer Cilla Black
Yr right this is real music I mean real down to earth people there's no comparing to today's music
This was the first love song i fell in love with at 12 years old.....same year the Beatles released "I Wanna Hold Your Hand"!!! Great times!!!💕💕🎵🎼🎶🎤🎸🎙🥁🎹
Their earliest was a fun dance number written by Bill Medley [deep voice] called Little Latin Lupi Lu.
I love the design and production of the video as well, simple but elegant
This song was written and performed for only Bisscute. You do real good. Keep it up.
I was lucky enough to see them twice in the late 90s. Still the best concerts I’ve been to.
Great Reaction 👍🙏👣
You said it perfectly! There will never be nothing two like the Bros! 😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Imagine what this would sound like on a nice record player 😮
You are so cute & precious watching them, I love it.
A classic song.
Cute reaction, I subscribed
By the way, the Righteous Brothers are still touring in 2023. You should come to the Untied States and see them in person!
Interesting video and interesting reaction. You rarely see this! Very good!
Great reaction! You had me singing along... to you! ❤ This song always reminds me of top gun movie. Haha Luv ya bisscute 💛❤️😎😷
Kula Shaker with Hey Dude,Govinda and Tattva back in the day in britain sort of made a wee impact in the music charts
These guys were chart toppers in 64, right up the point when the Beatles changed the game, with guitars and back-beat.
In 68; Elvis did his comeback TV special, he proved he was still the King - No coronation needed.
Excellent!
If you enjoy harmonies, listen to anything by Simon and Garfunkle. Start with Bridge Over Troubled Water.
"The Boxer"
omg ARE YOU KIDDING that would be incrrrrrrrr e d i b l e
There was a singer back then that I think you'll really enjoy. His Name is Tom Jones and there's a live video of him in the 60's performing "I'll never fall in love again"... His Voice is still as strong today as it was back then.
Nothing wrong with a little class and elegance Bisscute. I agree with you. It’s something that’s sorely missing in today’s entertainment scene.
There were so many truly great singers in ti's period.
Great reaction. Very easy to tell you were enjoying it.
This is the song Maverick sang to his love interest in the bar in Top Gun!
You would probably like their song 'Soul and Inspiration'.
Chills.
I love this reaction! This is one of my favorite songs!
@bisscutte, two songs with a feel of old school but are different kinds of American music: 1. Allman Brothers - Whipping Post and 2. Teddy Pendergrass - Love T.K.O.
You are absolutly right Biss, the difference between this era and today boils down to pure tallent & pride and wanting to produce quality (lyrics & voice & music) and not just quantity so one can become famous. 🌹
The music of my youth. Righteous Brothers were among the best of the 60’s!
They are amazing
Biss sweetie, back in the day it was all about the music. It was never intended to be a video. Now days it's all about the show. The music, harmony's, and presentation are all a second thought to how much hype can we get with the video. I'm glad you recognize this. As always, BIG HUGS and much ❤ from Tennessee!
Well said, thank you and glad you enjoyed this ❤
Lol i thought the thumbnail said "what a dud" haha glad it didn't
Also her blush at 3:57 is so adorable lol
It is nice to see artist have some class. Also it was part of the style in the 60s to dress formal.
Well yeah we even dressed that way in school. No jeans or sneakers or absent of collars. and girls had to be in dresses or skirts. At least that's the way it was when I graduated in 61.
Simple and authentic I love it
Tall, dark hair, and deep voice is Big Bill, short, blonde and high tenor voice is Bobby.
They remained friends for Hatfield's entire life they were born only a few months apart. Medley is 83 now.
Texas Tornado by Tracy Lawrence, The Chair by George Strait and George Strait has alot of great country music.
Yep! the schoolgirl is back. Starry eyed with a dreamy look, it's like they where singing to just you. The way music was, oh girl to hear such for the first time, I envy you. As always a great reaction.
Thank you
To the lovely Bisscute,
I saw these guys so often at dances at the Rendezvous Ballroom in Newport Beach, California. Bobby Hatfield is the higher voice and Bill Medley is the tall guy with the deeper voice. You also need to react to a song Bill wrote for a girl he liked. "Little Latin Lupe Lu" and the ones Dagmar S suggested.
Yesss the 60´s, the era for heart and soul. Check out also Paul Anka, Tom Jones and Louis Armstrong.
This is the most listened to song on radio and tv in the twentieth century .
You can also try Edie Brickell & The New Bohemians "What I am"... it's from 1988. You will like it.
100% Agreed & Also Wife Of Paul Simon.
