- The Evil Stronghold of Skeletor comes to Masters of the Universe Origins action figures with this new playset based on the original one from 1984. Here is my edited and concise unboxing and review of this playset slash display set. Tried of hour long, no cut SLOG videos? Here at MBXfilms I don't waste your time unless it's actually funny to do so. I keep it fun but informative as I show all the old and new features of Snake Mountain. Are they too far from the original? Will you miss the Microphone of the old set? What new features are included? I answer all this in this video review.

The amount of editing, angles, lighting, narration etc etc is BRILLIANT, seriously man, you deserve this channel to become HUGE. Brilliant work 💥
I appreciate that you noticed, thank you.
I try to put the effort in to all my videos here. The ORIGINS ones especially, though not many have found them unfortunately.
Finally got one. My sister bought it in the US during the holidays. This SM Origins is such an improvement from the '80s vintage SM. Now, my Castle Grayskull has a companion.
And loaded with old school style play features. No cell phone activated stuff or whatever.
I love what you said about these items being art. It’s the absolute truth!
There isn't really any other way to describe why people would collect them. Just different values people like compared to other arts.
@MBXfilms i really like how use the galaxy background in this video, goes with the same color scheme with Snake Mountain.
It fits with a lot of the things I show here, plus I like my red and purple color theme.
Nice video and great shots you have a eye for the dramatic
Thank you, good to hear, I try to put something special in every review of this stuff: ruclips.net/p/PLkVjD6XP11VoCcYGu7zbze7GpQqZVERkp
So awesome
Showing the long sold out Creations exclusive figures on the box photo would be like if they reissued Origins Castle Grayskull with a new photo that showed the Secrets of Grayskull adds on with "SOLD SEPARATELY" on the copy.
Seemed odd to me not to only show retail figures. But it's cool seeing them I suppose. I was tempted to get the Frog guy but he didn't really fit my collection scheme of being in the old toy line as well as being in the cartoon.
Glad you have Snake Mountain already! I used to have both Castle Grayskull and Snake Mountain. The box artwork is in itself collectible. There's definitely an inprovement on play features. I'm bummed Mattel Official store still hasn't released that yet here. Outside reseller sell SM here for double the price! Great video as always. ❤
I had to keep the boxes, I have them at my workplace, ha ha ha
@@MBXfilms Love it!
Yeah some reviews made me think that the Wolfhead was permeantly affixed to the spot. But once I got my Snake Mountain I realized you can slide it out.
People seem to watch a lot of channels that take the views for granted... I try to think ahead the best I can for the viewers, but I still kick myself for missing things that should have been shown.
@@MBXfilms Most channels also completely bypass the Demon mouth. Which going by my memory I don't even remember knowing it could move on the vintage.
Great review! I can’t wait to be able to get this but I’m still going to have to find where I’m going to put it.
I'm gutting a bunch of shelves to adjust the size so it will fit with my other Origins stuff....
Sooo much better than Origins Castle Grayskull. Origins Grayskull lost the organic ghoulish vibe of the original, but Snake Mountain appears to be a proper re-make with all the charm of the original intact. Excellent review, covered everything so nicely.
It even helps that it improves on the original’s flaws.
I felt like there was something about Grayskull also, too light colored, needed that darker green layer and more black, but the features are smooth, plus I was able to get the Secrets Set: ruclips.net/video/R3p5NvDKW5U/видео.html
The height is nice, though harder to display now ha ha ha, but now there are so many features compared to the original. I bet someone can make a Snake Mountain app for the voice. I would if I could, sounds like money
@@MBXfilms I'd almost bet they'd recolor and reissue the castle for the Cartoon Collection Origins, but with different figure (or none) and of course, none of the Secrets of Grayskull items...
@@scockery Sound very possible. Maybe with the portal that was often seen in episodes, with a holographic sticker or something.
I have the original play set up on my shelves next to castle gray skull it was not the greatest set but one of my favourites from the original line and don’t think I’m going to get this one even tough it’s far superior I still love that original, anyways great review and loved the way you present your videos 👍
I can't ask for higher praise than that! I hope more people start to give them a try and enjoy it also. Original is typically better to have if you have a connection to it, but I missed all the MOTU stuff so it's nice to get this version that is rooted in the classic but still upgraded in some ways.
Cool reveiw dude!!❤
I put a lot of work in, I was hoping it would pay off. It deserves it, such a good set with a lot of stuff going on. Trap door works so solid.
@@MBXfilms looks fun and awesome!!
Great addition 2 Motu Origins. A must have for Motu fans. You did a good job!!💯💯
Would it be possible to have a watertank and a tube running through the snake so it shoots deadly "venom"?
That would take some engineering. But it may be hollow inside so a small tube could go in.
Is it hollow? Im also thinking bout a smoke machine behind the demon mouth. Some led eyes.... but im also thinking about building the whole thing myself. Styrofoam and what not
@@jiorts It would be much heavier if it was solid, and more expensive.
