3rd ODI mein Smriti ka '90' 2023 mein Richa ka '96' yaad dila diya😢😢. Sabse achha baat yeh hai ki Smriti and Harmanpreet di is back to form ❤. Aur ek baat hai ki WPL ke baad se Rockstar Richa ne toh style se match finish karna start kiya. Ab usne last ball Tak intezaar nahi karta jab usko chance mita hai ❤.
In my opinion, the key that helped The Indian Women's team in this ODI series is their positive intent.
1st ODI me 99/5 the fir bhi Smriti aur Deepti ki 80+ runs ki partnership ne ek base set kar diya tha taki ek defendable total board pe aa sake, jisme Pooja Vastrakar ne bhi contribute kiya.
2nd ODI me first innings me badhiya batting hui Indian Women's team ki taraf se aur 325 ka score bana. Par jab Wolvvardt aur Kapp batting kar rahe the tab laga ki shayad South Africa jeet jaenge, par us waqt India ko jarurat thi positive intent dikhaane ki, apne skills aur experience pe trust karne ki, jo ki later stage me hua aur match India ne jeet liya.
To agar yahi ravaiyya indian team rakhti hai aanewale matches me to bigger stages pe i.e World Cup me better performance aur shayad jeetne ki oar apna raasta bana le.
Deepti should be promoted up in the batting order ? She needs to be part of top 5 maybe... would love to see more focus on our pace attack.. Radha Yadav is not able to get wickets... such a huge relief to see Smriti in such great form, Harman is playing great as well... No 3 position is not sorted out, Shefali needs to get her form back...

One question,, what do you think is the reason behind jemi not playing at number 3, India couldn't find a stable number 3 all through the series so why not give jemi an opportunity to play at that position as she has got all the potential.
I don't know why they are not giving chance to jemi
She is perfect for no 3
She is used to play at no. 3 or opened early in her ODI career, as good a player she is of spin, she has her struggles against swing and extra pace. That's why they don't want her to come in 1st 10 overs
But one player should batting at no.3 is Yastika Bhatia but didn't enter playing xi.

Radha need more experience in 50 over format
As you've said, atleast two in the top five should bowl reliably. 5th batter is not pinned down yet. So out of top four, if Smriti is seen bowling and rest three didn't. It shows lack of focus in filling this gap.
Bowling only in nets is not going to help. They should be regularly tested in matches & relied upon.
When SA top order batted well against the regulars, whom did Herman go to? Is it Smriti!!?
Herman & Jemmy when bowled sparingly, looked reasonably good but we didn't persist. Shefali is seldom given the ball.
Means we really have NO planning about the bowling options issue.
One thought, there's No batter who can keep wickets if regular Wicketkeeper is out of the scene. Champion team must accomplish each of the emergency aspect in the game.
This series, the overall attack looked ordinary till the fall of top wickets and then because of the lack of batting strength in the SA order, things looked good.
The problem is, we mostly play with average teams wherein the stats of all look good. Batters & the bowlers alike. They are tested only against the stronger teams.
( From the commentary box you gave the stats of a player for last 20 innings. Her replacement was included in the team at number three!!
We are over protective of the young talent despite the scenario telling differently. We are not helping the talent here but spoiling her.
We have proven No.3 star batter in the team. We replace her at ease with anybody!! That means the bowlers of the team with Jemmy are more vulnerable to lose their spots.)
May be that's the reason why we lose only in the finals.
Harman has her shoulder issues..so she doesn't bowl unless absolutely needed
Shafali has kept wickets in domestics, so she can do. But normally Yastika will be your no. 3 who is a very good keeper
@@Adi-oc2hdSure, Yastika is better Wicket keeper. If she seals her spot at No.03 the standby keeper issue will be solved. But Yastika is not regular in top 5 yet. Her inclusion in top 5 will reduce the top batter who can bowl, back to 04 of which Smriti don't bowl and Herman has shoulder issues. So the option remains with the remaining two, who don't bowl much in the games.
So it can be safely said that we have no batter in the top 5 who can bowl effectively.
So no option for Herman to play with 5 regular bowlers. A possible weakness of the team.
Till Dipti is considered amongst top 5 batter, the issue isn't gonna get solved.
It's great but much has to be said about fitness & fielding. Shefali' fielding is pathetic. Watch Srilankan team. Fantastic fitness fielding etc
