Here is how to safely change your mirror caps for all F series BMW’s although this will work the same for E/G series and many other cars.
After recieving some requests and complaints from people breaking expensive dimming mirror glass we decided to show you the best alternative way to change the mirror caps without having to pop out your glass.
Top tip - do not replace trim tools with any other materials (we’ve seen screwdrivers, ouch) we picked ours up on amazon for £8.99.
Please subscribe and check out our other installations on RUclips.

Thankyou sir for keeping it real and on point. Too many clowns out there wasting 3 or 4 minutes talking about their boring lifes, unboxing, self stroking bullshit and then eventually get to the task at hand. You got it done immediately !!! big ups

Thanks for your comment, I’m glad you agree. We make £0 from RUclips. It’s just 5 minutes of our time to quickly share a solution to common problems or a review on a product we like. Glad someone sees it for what it is!

For some reason a lot of people tend to go from the glass side, resulting in cracked glass, auto-dimming glass replacement from BMW runs in to the 100s so the £8.99 on trim tools is a great investment!

I've changed upwards of 25 sets of thee mirrors. Do you have another proposed method? And the clips were not broken from removing the mirrors in the video. The mirrors were a customer's old caps and already broken and used for the purpose of the video. Following this method should not break any clips
