+Iceman Thanks! I don't see any disadvantages for boxing because essentially it's meant to protect your head from any kind of attack whether punches, knees, kicks, etc. Muay thai is a fun sport, definitely different from boxing but worth a try!

Hi. Thanks for the review. I was looking at this head gear as well and loved it and then I was told about Hayabusa Tokushu Regenesis MMA Headgear. It is way more expensive but too looks to be a very good protective head gear. I love how both protect the chin and offer great visual as at the moment I use one with a bar and it blocks so much of my vision. I am also concerns with the sweat factor inside the head piece. I sweat alot. I have alot of hair. So I know the Hayabusa has anti odor properties. How do you rate this head gear? Is it easy to clean or keep clean? Thanks again.
+Sherri Yost This is very easy to clean. i just use clorox wipes and they are good. Hayabusa is a much more expensive brand so I'm sure what they offer would be better.
I bought it and like it a lot. The only complaint I have is the quality control. The head strap stitches is not center and pull the head to one side. You just have to check and make sure you got one that put together well.
Try Winning FG-2900 or similar knock offs, or try Fighting Sports S2 Gel Full Training Headgear. Both offer better nose protection, and the Fighting offers better mouth protection. It's the most protection you can get outside of a face shield or face Saver type headgear. You will lose some vision compared to the Venum. Venum has great visibility. What's better, seeing the punches coming, or being able to absorb them? Your call.
+Mr Fresh Meat Never used top ten headgear, but the smell is a result of not cleaning. Mine smells great because I use clorox wipes every time I use it

Honestly your review is pretty bad. You barely said anything about how it feels or how it is when your sparring.? I’m not gonna go over all the criteria you should’ve covered but one of the biggest ones was does it move around on your head when you get hit? Hopefully you do better on your next review. The 2.0 Made in china, designed in thailand, the elite its made in thailand....
How's the side view. A lot of the headgear I've tried out really obscures the sideview.
Unfortunately you can't really have any headgear with good enough protection that will not block your vision somehow

The elite is a bit more expensive but it appears to only have more color variation and no difference in actual quality
