I cant believe Bert said we could give away the road king... keep it weird y'all #shadetreearmy
I really enjoy our one sided friendship. Thanks for the laughs man!
I LOVE REAL BIKER VIDS, whenever Josh's jazz hands come up into frame you know its about to get good.
I watch tons of channels and you my friend are on an island by yourself. 👍👍
The sportster is an iconic motorcycle, it is the true og of American iron. Back in the 50’s and 60’s they weren’t chopping road glides or kings or even fxr’s. It was a 1000 cc sportster. That’s why I chose the 1200 iron over the others. Pure American classic, you could put me in a pack of old ones and barely tell the difference. Plus it’s a rowdy bike heavy enough to cross a nation but light enough to make it interesting. 👍
As a crusty, dusty, biker nerd there is nothing I love more than a good D&D session with friends. Hell yeah man! I can't wait to visit Florida, hit the Dirty Shame, and hopefully meet you.
I’m a car and a bike guy. Mainly I’m an engine and fabrication guy. With this all I have to say is my favorite thing with you is how much you ride in the rain!!! I don’t think you have had a single video where I was like” dude!!! I wish I was closer to you so I could help you with something lol. Stay weird my friend!!!
Shadetree Surgeon. I like the Sportster. Cheyleesi is lucky to have you help her out building it. It’s what a great Uncle does for his Niece. Another good piece of video.
Dude I've been following you for several years and I have no f*ckin clue how your channel doesn't have more subs! Maybe the FXR build will change all that for you. You deserve it!
its because people are soft, and dont like the way he talks, we need more people like him in this world!
It's an acquired taste
What the fuck r u talking about he has 212k
....and look how much his channel and all the armies channels have raised for Forgotten Angels. Josh deserves enough subs to be full time.
40 beers in 40 days lol, here in north central California we use to have a sports bar & grill called Sidelines that had an annual "Left to Right" beer day- not competition because that's illegal. They had 36 beers on tap, you'd start drinking them 1 pint at a time starting from the left tap and ending on the right 36 pints later. Me & my step dad were the last ones standing 3 years in a row.
😆 all I need is a picture style sticker of Shadetree saying "HELL YEEEEEAAAAH!!!"
Two of the most Oddball bikes I've ever owned were Hondas.
1981 GL500 Silverwing Interstate(full dress from the factory including radio).
1981 FT500 Ascot single.
For some reason Honda found it necessary to give a single-cylinder engine a two into one pipe using two exhaust valves and two exhaust ports.
"Daily and weekly rates, and if you go in that office, HOURLY TOO" cracked me up, great vid man as always
I really liked my 1000cc 1980 Sportster. Carburetor change, XLR pipes and had lots of snap. I had to hit the like button on this!
After putting a high performance clutch in my Sportster i also have a hard time finding neutral but learned after awhile if you know you need to be in neutral pull the clutch in and coast for a couple of feet then try finding neutral ,i used to shut it off at toll booths until i learned this trick hope it works for the green goblin 🤘🤘🤘
Idk why but I’m not really a motovlog fan anymore but can’t seem to get away from your videos because they are so entertaining
Really, really enjoyed this video, Josh, thanks! It has it all: D&D, bad people on a Honda, the Green Goblin, the Dirty Shame, thunderstorm & lightning (very, very frightening) and so much more! Dude, I like your channel a lot. Btw: my bike is a 2013 Nightster which goes perfectly smooth into neutral, so cannot confirm this is a basic problem of sportsters. Stay safe, stay cool and weird, bro!
Hahaha I love that you included the d&d segment. Combining my love for bikes and d&d into 1 video!
As one who not only rode a CB750 Nighthawk for most of college, but as the son of a "Honda" dad who swore by the brand until his dying day... yes I love the fact that you have to haul parts for both your Harley's in the Goldwing. Someday the saying of "I would rather ride a Honda, than push a Harley." might not ring true, but NOT TODAY!!
*ANOTHER REAL BIKERS VIDEO HELL YEAH*
You met the ACTUAL Florida Man. Who needs a front door when you're cooking meth? Proper ventilation is key...
Lol definitely Florida man!
Cops do not use door when they getting into meth houses
Pure Florida there
@@aussie1546 what , they come down the chimney? 😆
Can't get much more Florida than that!
See your videos coming, Josh. Very entertaining. Just love your energy and the fact that you clearly love what your doing. Looking forward to a trip from Virginia to Key West in late September, me on my Goldwing, one brother on a Harley and the other on his BMW!
I really needed an awesome Shadtree Surgeon video today, and you came through.
Thanks, Josh. I appreciate it.
There's a reason why you have over 200,000 subscribers!
Eric in Kissimmee
That Castlevania music brings back a lot of memories back in the early 90s sitting in front of the TV on a saturday morning trying to beat down a bunch of monsters with a mace.
The sportster is badass.. I had a1200 low 2006... And a '97 1200.. can't wait to watch that gal get on it and ride .. cheers from Alabama..
The random rant and the sound of handheld drills made a pleasant piece of art. 😆
The resurrection of the FXR will be a joyous day for us all. Can't wait my dude.
@17:00, why did you go there?!? Can’t get the damn picture out of my mind! 🤣
The one thing I have learned over 6 decades, there’s some weird ass people out there 😂 Gotta love ‘em
I'm in the panhandle of Texas a little cold to ride so I enjoy the camera angle of you riding so I can live vicariously through you! Is that weird enough!!
I was on Craigslist this morning looking at motorcycles and found an ‘87 Goldwing that piqued my curiosity and I go to look at my phone, and what pops up? The new Shadetree Surgeon video is up! 😂 I’m loving your videos so much that I’m looking at a Goldwing of my very own!! Keep up the great videos!!
If you find the right one they’re amazing bikes :)
@@shadetreesurgeon this one looks decent, and I think warrants going to do a closer visual inspection and possible purchase!
Get that wing, you'll never regret it.
It's always good to see a bike moving again. It's that sigh of relief when everything is running right or near enough.
Jesse Cox had the ultimate pen and paper RPG breaking character ever! I don't remember what game it was but to make your character you chose your race/species, class and job... so he chose Hobgoblin, Shaman, Village Elder. What ended up happening was the story he made was that the Village Elder was the Lawmaker and being a Shaman he had powers over the elements and was able to walk in the real world, dream world, and spirit world. He could literally do ANYTHING he wanted just by saying "by hobgoblin law!" Being the Elder also made him much higher level than anyone else right from the start because you can't be the Elder and be low level :D The stories that came out of that long term game were AMAZING! He was fucking with the DM CONSTANTLY and completely ruining everything.
You only shade, can pull up to an airport to scoop your Friday up with Billy Ocean “Caribbean Queen” blasting music. 😂
D&D?!?! That's AWESOME!!! Smart move, and great way to spend time with friends.
Dude I cannot WAIT for the FXR to be completed - it is going to be TOTALLY EPIC!!!
Josh, you definitely got some extra cool points for pulling into a WaWa. As a Jersey boy now living in Texas, seeing WaWa featured in this video definitely brought some peace to my mind
Growing up in the 80s my dad rode a Goldwing. Seeing the stuffed animal on there brought it home! 😆💜 I loved your tunes at the airport! Way cooler thank the country western my dad had blaring while I was a passenger 😕
I spent Father’s Day playing DND with my kids with my son taking the role of DM. Funny enough I play a Swamp Wizard or at least a wizard that lived in a swamp called Adirolf or Florida backwards.
Dude that’s so awesome!
@@shadetreesurgeon May I have your permission please Josh, to tell your niece Cheyleesi that I like her hair, for want of not sounding a "dirty old man"? If not, I wish to restore your family honour, if we had the pleasure of meeting each other, in your part of America, by letting you "punch my lights out"as we say over here, in Limey land.
@@shadetreesurgeon How could ANYONE NOT like you, Shadetree? You should tell or show them your video, of how you showed concern for that car driver, whom you helped in that crash, but didn't he turn out to be a stunt driver?
Dang need to invent windshield wipers for motorcycles and especially goldwings
Only real Harley riders know the true struggles of the riding life!! Like pushing your bike to the next gas station because your trip OD doesn’t work and you don’t know how far you’ve gone! Hell yeah!
Brandon Coile have you seen the FXR on this channel yet?
zoom zoom I got lucky one time on my VTX 1800 I had to take a jug handle to get to the gas station and it was down to fumes in the middle of it and stalled. I rolled to the red light and when it turned green I fired it up and had just enough to shift into first and roll into the gas station.
The 8-bit video game music at the rain scene... hilarious! ahahahah
I miss my 1200
Even as a 6'4" 260lbs dude mine pulled just fine i eventually did buell heads and a jackhammer 1275 kit
And legends rear shock with adjustable coils they rock
Thanks to you, I just bought a 1982 goldwing. and now my 2020 Harley is up for sale.
Congrats Shelby ! Enjoy that sick VTX 1800
They are amazing bikes,my moto instructor has one
The sporty turned out nice. And the FXR build is going to be fun to watch. Fun channel thanks.
Slap some Flo mx adjustable levers on that thing for her. My wife has small hands and the Flo levers made a world of difference for her
I feel like you should do the 40 beers challenge. But you should do a review of how each each tastes. Your comedic monologue would be completely comical.
“Did you really have to come on a motorcycle?”
Story of my life 😂
Digging the sportster. I ride an 03 883. Have a Memphis gauntlet fairing and I love it. For me the wind hits the top of my shoulders, I hope it doesn't catch chey right in the face haha! But the wind coming over doesn't buffet and snap like other shields I've used.
40 beers in 4 nights. Put me in, coach! I’m ready to drink!
That name XD
Yeeeerr
There is a bar in Cincinnati that has the wall. Forget how many beers but you have to drink all the beers on the wall in order in one day. Can eat food there and use bathroom just have to do all of them. They put your name on a plaque with a picture of you
I'd do 40 beers in 2 or 3 days. 40 is way too easy.
40 beers jeeeeez
Put me in coach.....Im ready to sway
I found this channel like 4 days ago and I am glad.
Otfl ! Sounds like the fella selling the car needs the tune!! I'm going to get my mail dressed like that tomorrow 😂 that's living the good life!! 😂
Love my XR1200!!! 🤘🏼💀
I love Barf Party. It reminds me of the old days.
Was thinking of getting a Sportster winter project in addition to my Dyna. Bought a Softail Springer insted. Now I want a Sportster too 😅
Springer's ride like ass.
Ramming Speed and Balls of Steel! Bro u gave me anxiety riding like that in the Rain!
Glad to see honda is taking over the channel, more riding and less maintenance.
I agree with the wheel decision. I love that wheel was on a lot of motorcycles I saw on the road growing up. Witch fueled me into the custom Electra/street glide I have now as a 33 year old kid.
We all need “you meet the worst people on a Honda” stickers 😍
I don’t even ride a Honda; I have a Harley now. I’ll put that on my Accord with ZERO shame!
Yeah the rain sucks, 7 days in a row in Missouri flooded both bikes my gl1800 and my shadow. Got the goldwing running.
This is why wednesdays are good. New shadetree vid and its ma birthday
Happy birthday ya weirdo!
“Is there anything important in here?” 😂 I play a barbarian too, I just smash shit up, I can’t remember the spells for the life of me! But D&D with a few beers is a good time. You got 40 different beers there?! That’s awesome. I’ll bear the hashtag in mind when I ride the wife’s Rebel too 😂 Great video as always man.
Hey Josh can you buy a shorty replace plexy glass or have a auto window place cut 6 inches off the top
I like that 40 beers in 40 nights idea. I used to go to a place that had the "Wall of Foam" if you drank every beer they offered on tap, you'd get your name on a plaque and a special shirt.
Josh, simply, carefully, slowly cut the windshield down to just under your eye level. I used a saber saw and a fine blade and proceeded slowly after I taped a curved 'guide line' on the windshield on 83 Yamaha. (sorry I bought it to begin with but that's another matter) You still get wind (And rain) over your head, just go slow and then carefully file and/or sand the edges clean, and Bingo!
Speaking of VTXs, I just filled out the paperwork for my "new" 1300 C. I have to send it back along with a wire transfer tomorrow. Then I just have to figure out how to get it to me. Shipping from Milwaukee to North Metro Detroit. I'm thinking about calling it The Vivacious VTX.
Also, looks like it's about time to rub a sliced potato on your windshield.
I like the idea of a sporty to get me around town when my big, burly, muscular, touring Yamaha is inappropriate (too much bike) for the occasion.
I very much agree. I have a 81' ironhead xls. Ive been thinking about selling it for couple years. Its just so much easier to jump on that thing when im just running down the road or across town.
Definitely need some “Make Honda’s Bad Again” merch!!
#builtnotbought
press box is my spot man!
Finding neutral on my '76 Ironhead?? Good luck with that! LOL Better bring Sherlock Holmes with ya!
DND! so when you said he a Tiefling and he cast spells, it was right because they have a trait that gives them a spells (3 spells by level 5) so yes he is a Tiefling that cast spells
CTX 1800 C, one of the best motorcycles I ever had. Cool to see one here.
AHHH... A true professional!
you ALWAYS gotta flick the tie down and say "that ain't going anywhere" if you don't, IT WILL MOVE 100% OF THE TIME.
I used to think the Marauder was a pretty common bike. There were at least 5 where I used to live. Have only seen Shelby's since I've been here.
I started riding on a Kawasaki KE125 then moved up to a Honda 400 Custom from 1978ish and have owned 3 Harley's and currently have a Harley.
I used too have a 78 GL1000. Ripped all the plastic off that thing and ran it as a muscle bike. Great bikes.
Have watched a bucket full of your videos. So I can say with some confidence, this is one of your best yet! Love what you're doin for us grimy Gearheads.
Who wouldn't want to take a day off and play D&D. 40 Beers in 40 nights, You could call it the Moses challenge 40 days and 40 nights, just with Beers. Always enjoy the show mate. Be safe
Love the enthusiasm you have
I put a extension shield on my gauntlet fairing that brings it up a few more inches . I’m short and i had some buffeting before I put the higher shield on it
Congrats on getting the Green Goblin up and running
First thought: oooooh it's a loooooong one.....
Shop Goblin was NOT happy.
You've met Roland Lebay from what he sounds like...
Nice to see A REAL BIKER again, you've got that down!
DnD.........NNEERRDDSS✌️😂😂😂🤣 Don't make me tootle with vigor 😂
Had a 2004 VTX 1800 tricked out like a street glide. Was a fun bike and miss it sometimes, but comfort myself with Indian roadmaster miles....
Have you ever tried rain x on the windshield Josh? Works great for me
I got my 83’ goldwing for free with no title and a blown out final drive last April, put about 1k into and have been making sketchy trips around Arizona with no problems yet! We’ll see how long that holds true for.
That’s awesome haha
Funny enough, I use my Harley to go buy parts for my Kawasakis :D Two oil filters, two 1-gallon jugs of oil, beef jerky, all in the saddlebags... which neither Kawi has.
You meet the nicest people on a Honda... And that's why I ride a Suzuki!
Im seeing this video while the HD is still processing haha!
Billet boy 😁cool video and a lot of fun content. You have a lot of cool projects that should be great when done
Iv had a 1800 vtx for a couple years and it's got crazy power
Perfect logic, “the faster you go, the safer “ 😂
Finally!! D&D is on the channel!!
Bikes and DnD mashup 🙌👍
All hail Shelby, he who has the knowledge.
Best " back roads" ride ever on this channel.
I ride a 2004 Honda Shadow Aero 750, play table top RPGs and I am the manager of the largest adult retail store within about 200 miles of Lumberton NC!
Josh, you should rainx the Goldwings windshield. I bet that would really help.
Spent the day before Father’s Day riding my SPORTSTER AND PLAYING D&D!
Great minds think alike
We had a thing at a tavern in my town called the beer passport, 60 beers from various places around the world, you had a month to complete it, and got a t-shirt haha.... not as easy as some think, some of those beers were not enjoyable in any way, but after you get into a few they all went down faster than they probably should hahaha
I swear I've never EVER considered a Goldwing. But your videos make me want and Oldie Goldie so bad!
hahaha I drive a bubble body 93 caprice all the time. I love my 90s shitbox. every time you've seen me at the shame, "the great white buffalo" was parked in the lot out back
