- Hello everyone! This time I sang “Sukidakara” by Yuika!
Ok, can I just say how cute this song is? I’m sure you’d all agree, especially if your first hearing of this song was Yuika’s original version. I don’t think I’ve ever gushed over a song on the first listen, especially for a Japanese song where I have to divide my attention between reading the subtitles and actually listening to the song, but this one definitely won me over. I guess this song made me come back to write some lyrics, huh? And while I only had the attitude of, “Let’s do something without any expectations of even finishing,” the moment I came up with the line, “Put on perfume I don’t wear, only to choke on thin air,” I knew I had to keep going and make this a thing. x’D
You can probably tell where I had no idea what to write for the lyrics and just wrote something to fill up the space that sounded ok, but I do still love some parts that I was able to come up with. Or at least, I really do love these lyrics in the chorus, which arguably, might be the most important part of the song to get right. x’D And well, the vocals aren’t great, but I tried to focus more on expressing emotion rather than “sounding great,” so I hope it turned out alright, or at least decent enough.

Well I played this for a girl in my class,
I played the piano in our guitar class. (He has a bunch of other musical instruments too) I twisted some of the lyrics to make it oriented towards a woman, and bam.
