I enjoy the gloaming on HTTT - lyrically it's quite a good song, and it works within the context of HTTT...Live (and I've seen it several times) I find it is lacking. I think they should put this one to bed.
I am seeing RH for the first time in the UK this summer and I will be legit pissed if they played The Gloaming. It sounds better live than on record, I'll grant that, but I can't with this song!
It's usually a good live song. There must have been some technical issues with the monitors or something on this performance. It's all janky and out of tune.

what helps the gloaming is if you sing it in a german accent and throw a few german words in as well, das ist the cloaming, see

Thom & Ed usually sing The Gloaming just fine. Compare it to any other recording, it hasn't sounded off-key like this before.
Thom has mentioned that this song is his favorite one from HTTT. I doubt they will stop playing it.
