Muskies are one of the few freshwater fish that will attack people. A lot of places that think they have some kind of spiritual monster are these fish instead.

@@frosty65233 Awesome. People go their lifetime trying to catch a Muskie and never do. Maybe one day If I happen to be in North America I'll give it a go.
Anyone else think musky isn’t the hardest freshwater fish to catch? I mean, if you want a real challenge go fish for some wild rainbows in an ultra clear alpine stream. Now that’s a challenge!
@@laurivaisanen6918I love only caught 2 musky and both times I wasn’t targeting them. The absolute hardest fishing I’ve ever done was dry flying in the high sierras for wild rainbows. I also live in California so like and musky are extremely frowned upon. Onetime a like got into lake Shasta lake and they poisoned the entire damn lake. They want nothing to do with these bigger animals in california
@laurivaisanen6918 , muskie are the largest member of the Muskellunge family followed by the Northern Pike, with the smallest member being the pickerel. Though not impossible to catch, they can be frustrating, following a lure up to the boat, only to swim away. If they follow the lure in, and won't bite, moving the rod in a figure 8 pattern can get them to strike. Here in Michigan they can be found in inland lakes, and rl¾
How do i find creeks like this that are public? Northern wisconsin, cant find any decent fishing spots for bass, noethern, and what not thst is secluded, just open lakes.
Musky fisherman here, Northern Wisconsin. Pike are killing them off. Interesting, Bass are rebounding. All has to do with when the fry hatch and pike develop faster.
Never caught one, my brother and I made and sold wooden lures for a while, mostly bass lures but made some huge 3 section plus souik type.some caught Tiger Musky
Wait...where was the creek? Was it the one you drive over to get to that spot? I was like no way is that really where I think it is????? Every time I've tried to follow that creek to fish where it dumps into the river but it just gets too thick
I live in Buffalo right, and there’s the bridge that connects the city of Tonawanda to Grand Island and right under it is some super deep and fast water with a ton of Muskies in it I went fishing for them with my dad and we must’ve seen like 5 big ones jump. Even a few days before a big one ate the 10 inch smallmouth my dad had on, he lost it though
What my dad does with gar is hell get up close with his kayak and pounce on them although he shattered his leg one time dling it he snalped the lower 2 bones forward
Musky move in shallow at night. Caught two 8 pounders one night walleye fishing from shore. Minneapolis (Lake Harriet). Floating jig and leech. Maybe 30 feet From the bank in 3 feet of water.
They live in the shallows all summer perferably weeds, sand bars and under water logs like where he was fishing i live in ontario canada near lac seul lake and eagle lake where jeremy wade shot his musky episode of river monster
In Canada me and my family were pulling up to an island to hike and sun bathing on the bank was a 60 pound muskee with teeth marks in its side, we were able to scoop him up in a net because he was dying and wasn’t moving and when we left and put him back in the water a bald eagle swooped by and tried to pick him up
Those ones were probably not biting due to them spawning. Up here in Wisconsin I was fishing near a dam, and a kid snagged a musky that he saw swimming right in front of him. It was not even musky season. Luckily the musky got off.
The first time I caught a Muskie was purely accidental, I was using a yellow jig/grub combo for crappies and was reeling in to head back but then I saw water splash and felt the fish bite my hook and successfully landed it
Musky aren’t hard to catch, you just need gear that can handle them… Gar, especially spotted and log nose, are the hardest to catch. They will swim right up and look for line attached and then just swim away. Or they’ll bite a lure without being hooked, then just let go when you get it close to the shore…
thank god he had that net 😂
that’s crazy it wasn’t even scared

The hardest fresh water fish to catch is either the Arctic grayling or the Golden trout.
The golden lives at high altitude in the Sierra.

I like the taliwacker.

Bbs: big black spoon
They react to crayfish like theyve nevwr eaten food before
We don't have them in South East Texas, we have the 6-7 foot gar though. Y'all ever try a big live blue gill?
Is this also in NJ?
In Alberta, they’re literally the only thing you catch
Is this nj? Looks very similar to a spillway to me
Lovely pike but you dont need a fishing line for it cus my family goes diving in germany with a small net and come near slowly and catch it
