I watched this several times over, because there was something familiar about the womans actions, and demeanor. She kept her distance mostly, and seemed to study the animal quite intently. Then you hear some other woman call to her, and she responds. Then the other woman says "you can stand next to him", which she then did. She then reached out her hand, gently, and touched the horse a couple times, always gently. He didn't seem to be agitated untill others gathered around him. Then others did the same, and you will notice that the horse puts his head around towards each of the others, as each got to close, as if telling them to back off, but he didn't do that with her. Anyway, I don't think this woman was weird at all. I think she quite possibly may be Autistic. My grandaughter is, and I have watched her act the same way when meeting a new animal. She always studies them for a while, then will gently reach out her hand and pet them. I've never seen an animal she couldn't approach this way. I believe the horse was studying her as well, and seemed to know there was not the least bit of harmful intent coming from her. And did you notice her smile? The simple innocent smile of wonderment and joy. I've seen that same smile on my grandaughter in similar situations. Anyhow, I don't see anything strange about her, just a different soul, looking at the world in a different way, is all.
I agree, my autistic daughter is 22. We forget that the most discussed of the autistic community are children. Children grow up. I was watching her hands, too. All her body language, the soft smile, the curled in shoulders and her deep thought, all are indicative of spectrum disorder. That horse was not spooked BY HER, but the crowd she drew as she was gently petting the horse. She stepped back. Also, she was unaware of being in the way, standing in the middle of the walkway. No sense of her physical situational awareness. That is very common, as well. If that guard, who has seen ALOT, thought she was a problem he would have yelled at her. Which would have really simply have made her cry. God Bless All People on the Spectrum, no matter their age.

I agree. I’ve noticed those who are either on spectrum(borderline or undiagnosed) tend to be more animal gifted then regulars. Either that or she’s got horse experience.
How those beautiful horses keep calm with all that going on around them is amazing. All praise to the wonderful men and women who take care of them with such love.
I was just getting ready to say that. I can’t believe how many of these people look like they’re on Jurassic Park looking at dinosaurs, like they’ve never seen one before. Not just staring because they’re beautiful animals, but staring, reaching out, touching like they’ve never seen anything in their life like that before.
They probably haven’t ever seen one in person before, so why is that weird? There are plenty of animals that you don’t even know exist, bet you would try touching them and stare at them given the opportunity. Horses are not a universal animal. Heck, I’ve had city people come to the farm and be fascinated by the cows and pet them not knowing if it was safe to do so or not. Not only that, but they couldn’t believe where milk comes from. So don’t look down on people because they never saw a horse before just because to you it seems ridiculous.
There was nothing weird about the lady studying the horse. In actual fact she approached the horse in an appropriate manner. Was slow with her movements, eye contact with the horse and very gentle patting. It is when adults and children approach quickly, keep patting the horse right in the face and make a lot of noise.
Exactly, being a horse lover, I do envy those who get to pet the horses. and Being in a hurried mode to get a quick picture in so the next person can get a turn isn't about making the animal comfortable.
Such a beautiful big strong wonderfully smart horse. I hope it stands there for an hour dealing with public is so hard. I hope horse gets to return to pasture and get lots of water and fresh grass.
They are put out to pasture regularly. The horses get loaded up in luxury horse lorries when they are taken to pasture. Not all at once obviously as some need to remain. I think you're being ridiculously judgemental. The first horse was simply doing what horses do. A downward-hanging head is a sign of a relaxed horse. The woman was keeping a respectful distance for quite a while, before gently stroking the animal. The second horse was tossing its head before the woman was anywhere near it---even while the soldier was attending to it. Head-tossing is a sign of frustration. She nicer than a lot of the other people. I know kids don't really understand unless they have been taught but the adults should know better. You can tell she had a gentle spirit just by watching her. She is also polite Notice the group of girls how they copied her. They were gentle with the horse also. Istead of some other kids 😮😮😮
How are these guards supposed to do their duty when they have to keep a close watch on their horse and can’t observe the surrounding area at the same time..These videos show that there is no respect for the horse or the guard. They are a photo op background, petting zoo. Imagine all the lies people tell about how especially friendly the horse was to them allowing them to pet it.
I miss seeing the beautiful horses and the soldiers every day during the shut down. Hopefully horses and troops are getting a good rest. I hope there will be a celebratory event when they return. I hope Mike & Jd will show us whats happening in the yard from time to time. Happy Holidays to all!

I have been around horses. I think there is something bothering it. Like a fly by it's head. Or something bothering its ears. It keeps shaking its head. And . You can see he like that lady. That animal is in distress. They have to stand for hours
She's a good soul, I think the horse would prefer her quiet respect to 99% of the other encounters it has in its work, and that comes with over 60years experience of owning and living with horses. And I am on the Autism spectrum.
Horse to the dog : “ hi there, I’m sure glad to see you🥰 instead of all these noisy humans and their annoying phones and backpacks 🎈 dog:” yeah me too, wish we could frolic in the field together…… wanna come with us?” ❤ ( previous video)
Tourists, please, leave the horse alone and keep your distance. While i understand that it's interesting to some to see the Kings guards, both the guards and horses are doing a job. If you get shouted at or if you get in the guards way, don't expect them to stop until you're finished doing whatever you're doing or until you notice them, they will keep on walking whether your there or not, iften shouting at you and pushing you out of the way if need be. Don't then complain you got hurt or shouted at. These guards are highly trained fighters, in fact, some of the best. Their job is to protect thebking and will do whatever they have to in order to protect him. Have some respect snd keep your distance.
I just see a person fascinated by the horses. Maybe getting brave enought to get closer. Many people haven't seen or been close to a horse. Watch the little girls too... The horse couldn't be better if it had a magic horn and rainbow sprinkles.
It really wasn't the job of these brave troopers and horses to pose for pictures but thanks to the dawn of cell phones everyone has one. The horses are so brave and patient to put up with multiple people touching them, sometimes three or four at once. I commend them and the troopers for their professionalism. Thank you for your service to the King and England.
I’m wondering if the Young Lady is autistic. It seems like her touching the horses is more sensory than anything. Some autistic People become fascinated with a certain object and dwell on it. If you noticed Her Family were close by her and redirected to another place.
Man I wish more tourists approached the horses like that. Slow and gentle is the way with horses, loud, abrupt, fast movements upset them. It’s my pet peeve with most of the tourists at HorseGuards. Her smile and gentle touches were lovely to see…..up till everyone and their poodle decided they just HAD to join in at any rate, and the horse loved it, leaning into her hands. It was beautiful to see, and it’s moments like that that make me hope that the general idiocy of large groups of humans doesn’t mean that the horses will have to be separated from the public for safety reasons. Because if they’d just get their heads out of their arses it wouldn’t have to be an issue
It isn't that she wanted to pet the horse, it's that she wouldn't stop, or move along, another tourist had to ask her to move because she was blocking the view for pictures. I don't think most people were trying to be cruel, but there is something very off putting about this woman, and everyone has a right to their opinion
Why are people being so judgemental, ganging up on this lady, who appears in awe of the horse,, and she seems to be somewhat lonely, stop being unkind, I thought we Brits are better than that, obviously some of you aren't !!!
The light is perfect in this RUclips video recording ..no glare..the contrast in the building dark fence..light stone building..dark beautiful horses ..handsome guards in dark uniforms. Easy on the eyes. The crowd seemed in better control for changing out of the horses. Not crazy with noise.
THE WOMAN IN BLACK JACKET/ GLASSES. THE OTHER ONE TO THE RIGHT IN THE CROWD IS THE NUT JOB THAT WAS EJECTED NUMEROUS TIMES FOR BOTHERING THE GUARDS & HORSES.
There was nothing weird about that woman who waited around watching the horse, then approaching it. She put her hand out for it to smell and touched it gently. Somebody messed up with the title of this video. Also that could have been me standing there watching the horse more than others because I love horses. Although someone did tell the woman that she could stand by the horse. Maybe, she was just a little shy.
The most weirdest about this was how the mother ( i assume) taking pictures of the girls at 2.28, avoided tripping over her trouser bottoms. The were literally sweeping the pavement.
The first horse was exceptionally chill. The second horse was acting like mine did when she got her tongue flipped over her bit. All that head tossing.
Horses and some races of dogs literally read the persona This because the animals for centuries worked with men, analisying and understanding them . Had Many examples when riding, hunting and security work.
It's clear that people do not understand the stress these horses are exposed to day in and day out. It is not sensitive to crowd in on these horses no matter what others in this comment section think. At any time a person can do them harm.
These tourists treat this like a circus...... Also, this woman was trying to stare the horse on the eye... which is a threat to the animal. I just wish these tourists would just respect..... its not rocket science!!!
There is a term "Horse Sense." Often associated with the term "Common Sense." I trust the horse's senses more than my own for they can sense good, the bad, child from adult. Horses are very special.

People are forgetting to be people. Not all disabilities are visible. Have compassion for the ones who don't know that they need it. Be kind.
What a sweet and gentle person she is.🤗
How do you know that? Are you qualified somehow?
She nicer than a lot of the other people. I know kids don't really understand unless they have been taught but the adults should know better. You can tell she had a gentle spirit just by watching her. She is also polite
Notice the group of girls how they copied her. They were gentle with the horse also. Istead of some other kids 😮😮😮
Horses know when something is not right. She was mesmerized by the horse. I do this also they are so majestic. I always watch their eyes ❤
I think she is fascinated by the beautiful horse. She seems lonely
Creepy but not illegal. Ban the touching of the horses. They can still take pictures.
Oh please 🙄 I’ve seen of guards multi-tasking
@@charlottecunningham2141 Hurrah for you….good on you.
@@StandingStillStuff and too bad you haven’t seen any🥱
Horses are very smart and intuitive.
I expected her to start levitating & floating around the horse.
I miss seeing the beautiful horses and the soldiers every day during the shut down. Hopefully horses and troops are getting a good rest. I hope there will be a celebratory event when they return. I hope Mike & Jd will show us whats happening in the yard from time to time. Happy Holidays to all!
No we can not wait the couple of minutes it takes to swap the horse guards over we must have the picture NOW!!..It's the sign of the times..entitlement, the BS attitude of the Idiots we see on here every single day. The rules do not apply to me I am entitled to rush up when told not to do so, and get in the way and make a complete idiot of myself as well as put others at risk.
Keep Safe Keep Strong 🦘🦘🦘🦘💖💖💖💖
I have been around horses. I think there is something bothering it. Like a fly by it's head. Or something bothering its ears. It keeps shaking its head. And . You can see he like that lady. That animal is in distress. They have to stand for hours
Bless her, she is in awe of the horses.
When the horse shook his head as the yards long yellow bags brushed past his nose (rude) horse was saying ffs!
That horse knows something Is off about her and she is creeping me out so I can imagine how the poor horse feels
Probably thinking i could get a few dinners out of him or her. Or maybe she classes herself as a horse whisperer, not, plus there are cameras around.
I agree with the horse whisperer guess. She may go so far ss believing herself to be an animal psychic.
@@teresabillings8378 OH BROTHER!
Such beautiful and majestic horses. Are they Fresion horses? Georgous.
A story of the majestic and the miscreants.
OMG people she just doesn't have social and spatial awareness like most other people do. I don't know what "she has" but stop ganging up on her. 😢
People need to be aware of what's going on around them. Look what's happened in the past
@@helenhallwood3580 If you are talking about the woman I am sure she does her best.
I believe the woman has autism.
I have autism too.
Its how we often act.
And she likes the horses but most likely never saw a real one before.
Why are people being so judgemental, ganging up on this lady, who appears in awe of the horse,, and she seems to be somewhat lonely, stop being unkind, I thought we Brits are better than that, obviously some of you aren't !!!
She's freaking me out
😂😂😂😂
Enjoyed this immensely Lady C
The light is perfect in this RUclips video recording ..no glare..the contrast in the building dark fence..light stone building..dark beautiful horses ..handsome guards in dark uniforms. Easy on the eyes. The crowd seemed in better control for changing out of the horses. Not crazy with noise.
The horse looks at that woman like get away from me.
I agree
COITADO DO CAVALO COM ESSE MONTE DE GENTE EM VOLTA
THE WOMAN IN BLACK JACKET/ GLASSES. THE OTHER ONE TO THE RIGHT IN THE CROWD IS THE NUT JOB THAT WAS EJECTED NUMEROUS TIMES FOR BOTHERING THE GUARDS & HORSES.
Is that Arnie
Don’t worry he’ll be back😊
I think Arnie is a Life Guards horse, not a Blues and Royals.
I wonder if she’s like an “animal whisperer” or someone who says they “speak with animals”. That’s the feeling I got from watching her.
Yes! I thought the same thing, that she was trying to read the horses mind. She certainly couldn’t read the poor horse saying leave me alone.
Well, whatever she's trying to do.....she's c..p at it!! Leave em alone!
I bet the horse is wishing she would piss off
She would do well to keep her "talents" to herself. The horse is WORKING and not there to be psychoanalysed or distracted.
I thought the very same thing!!! It was as if she was communicating telepathically with the horse!
So many people who obviously have never seen a horse before.
Apparently this is the only place on Earth a horse can be seen!
Right?p
Wow look at the tracksuit at 2.39 it was so understated it even had to tell us it was PINK.😎😎😎
She may be very lonely.
She actually was with someone who tried to get her to move away.
@@paulettebillinge It seems not everyone noticed that, like you and I
The most weirdest about this was how the mother ( i assume) taking pictures of the girls at 2.28, avoided tripping over her trouser bottoms. The were literally sweeping the pavement.
The first horse was exceptionally chill. The second horse was acting like mine did when she got her tongue flipped over her bit. All that head tossing.
there are weird people there, and thinking they are entitled.
Horses and some races of dogs literally read the persona
This because the animals for centuries worked with men, analisying and understanding them . Had Many examples when riding, hunting and security work.
It's clear that people do not understand the stress these horses are exposed to day in and day out. It is not sensitive to crowd in on these horses no matter what others in this comment section think. At any time a person can do them harm.
YES, and thankyou for a sane opinion, just because she looks harmless, does not mean that she is
The horse on the left was sooooooooooo ready to go...chomping at the bit, so to speak.
what a bloody boring life for these horses
What I don’t understand is Why the need to touch the horse, they are there to do a job not to be touched with hands up in their faces, most annoying.
These tourists treat this like a circus......
Also, this woman was trying to stare the horse on the eye... which is a threat to the animal.
I just wish these tourists would just respect..... its not rocket science!!!
idk why this is a big tourist thing?? its a horse
Oh goodie students yuck..poor horse
There is a term "Horse Sense." Often associated with the term "Common Sense." I trust the horse's senses more than my own for they can sense good, the bad, child from adult. Horses are very special.
Horses can sense when someone is nervous or different from the crowd. His behavior was understandable.
Don 't put the children under the Military horse. How many hand touch the horse nose.
Weird how both horses reacted the same towards her
The thin lady with the glasses wanted to be the star in everybody's movie, and be talked about. Period. And she got it.
Just in case she forgot or others dont know the colour of her outfit is printed for all to see. I think its pink 😂
There's always some creepy weirdo harassing the horses.
