There is a reason that it was so important to Kentucky to be a national seed and be guaranteed a super-regional at home. It doesn't matter if it was Cliff Hagan Stadium or Kentucky Proud Park, UK has won every post-season series at home under Mingione--with the home crowd being a huge factor--but then quickly faded on the road in the super-regional. Plus, the Cats are hungrier than ever for the school's first appearance ever in Omaha. My concern is not the pitching--they only gave up 1 run in the final two games of the regional, using only a few arms. My concern is how good their 22-8 record in the SEC really was. 11 SEC teams were in a regional. Only 5 advanced. But that 22-8 conference record earned them home field advantage in this super-regional. It's a big ballpark that, it is my understanding, doesn't give up as many home runs as others. Don't be surprised if the story after the Lexington super-regional is how the home crowd and UK's bunting, base stealing, etc. were the difference.
Playing on the road has hurt us this year but I’m hopeful we have a second gear playing up to the level of competition. At the globe life round robin we handled ttech, okst and mich pretty easily only running into the buzzsaw that is Hagen smith.. even in that one it was only a 4-3 ballgame. Should be a tight series this wknd
I like the solid wildcats opportunity to make it to Omaha. I feel the national audience may root for the underdog Beavers/Pac 12 who are being destroyed by Phil Knight/NIKE NIL money. SAD ❤😢
I love that you are doing individual previews for each team. Go cats!

Go beavs! 🦫
Great breakdown! Looking forward to this weekend series! Go Cats!
Good job, Go Beavs.
It's a home advantage for Kentucky at KPP I think Kentucky is going to win.
Carraway was injured for a good part of the year. Not really a platoon. Trotsky is the better defender and will come in late often.
