  • Is it even possible to put every animal in one franchise zoo? I'm going to find out! Today we finally deal with some big issues in the zoo. Also adding saiga and sloth bear into the Every Animal Zoo! My challenge is to create a profitable Franchise Mode zoo that will eventually house every animal in Planet Zoo. Join along as we learn how to create a successful franchise mode zoo together!
    👉 We now have a DISCORD, with community games, giveaways and more! Joint the fun here / discord
    About me: I'm Plastic Swans and I do a lot of wacky stuff with Planet Zoo, like racing the animals and time trials. I like to call this kind of thing wholesome chaos and that's what I try to do most of all on the channel. I also make one-off habitats and zoos, and I also make the starter habitats for Planet Zoo, a collection of ready-made franchise/challenge compatible habitats for every animal in the game.

    The saiga is actually nowadays a near threatened animal and it was given that status very recently in very late 2023.

      @PlasticSwans  29 дней назад +2

      Yes they are very endangered. I noticed in game their lifespan feels a lot shorter than a lot of other animals in game too

      I'll absolutely see it through to the end! Kicking and screaming, the zoo WILL at least have a habitat for every animal, even if half of them aren't there any more

      Thank you! Once the rest of Eurasia is finished, the barnyard animals are a breeze to make habitats for. Word is that there's at least 1 more pack left after this, so a wait to see what that brings though!

    YAY! Another strugglesome episode. I'll deal with it! It's good to see someone tackle this fully. I wonder if doing only one animal of each species (no babies, just a solo representative), and then maximizing habitats with as many species as possible where possible (i.e. giga-sized African Savanna habitat) could legitimately help. Perhaps even organizing work zones/back of house areas, and guest service areas around this would help. It seems like something to consider if embarking on an "Everything Zoo" for someone else. I wouldn't want to burden you with just redoing the zoo. It's something you tackled, now let someone else take that baton and see if they can work the kinks out. I was thinking of doing an Everything Zoo meself, but I'm glad to have this as a reference source to take into consideration if I want to tackle that. I've just been waiting for this to be done and to have all packs so I'm not backtracking myself into a corner of incompletion.

    You got much further than thought you would before the game vegged out. It's been a great series, even if all the species cant be in the zoo now, the series has been great for showcasing and giving every animal in the game a look at. And who's thought it also end up a 'for science' in testing what causes lag more, its good to know its not piece count that turns the game into a potato! Whenever i've played, i've been minimalist on detail as I didn't want my game to lag, but know I can go mad and splash out on piece count! :)

    What about sandbox with infinite money and few guests? Or doesnt work either?

    • @PlasticSwans
      @PlasticSwans  Месяц назад

      Sandbox 'might' have a chance at working. Infinite money, remove majority of guests and turn off all management options so only needs 3 or 4 staff, and reduce number of animals needed in social groups. I'm hoping that's enough when I release as sandbox for the workshop at least!
