You should watch Vikings
Being a Viking is a mind set not just being Nordic .
Here's a hint in getting these tattoos you dont need to follow it all the way check first where the last spot it reaches and be there when it flies
The supplies actually you can get a LOT of at the shops for FREE
I got the game quite recently
When he said " like pretty much anything in this games, its not hard to do but incredibly tedious" really summed up the whole game, and i felt it.
ITS. SO. LONG.
@@IAmRob that's what she said
I wasn't even able to finish the game. Was the last game I bought on Xbox before I got a PC and it's so monotonous to get anything done I lost interest.
@DJ i think the game is able to brake anybody's spirit
Odyssey may be worse imo but this game is an absolute snooze fest with no fun to be had
Gotta say you definitely made it harder on yourself, when I went for the platinum I would do whole areas as I unlocked them, then do the story in the area. Made it feel more natural and less tedious overall.
Same
Am playing Odyssey atm and found that its much easier to just complete areas as I go along. I would honestly make this my #1 AC rule if I had to make a list tbh.
I’m doing that but the second I start the story I already forgot what was happening
I was thinking the same thing. It makes the whole process a little bit easier.
That still takes a shit load of time IDIOT. Either way you gotta grind your ass off
Fun fact: many of the designs of characters in this game is based on the actors in The Last Kingdom. And a lot of actors from vikings shows voiced a lot of these characters. Like Gaia Weiss from vikings voiced Fulke in valhalla and magnus bruun ( played cnut in the last kingdom) as evoir/Odin
I knew about the Cnut actor but did not know about the rest! That is so cool!
@@IAmRob Hunwald is voiced by Harry McEntire (Aethelwold), Halfdan and Thor by Jeppe Beck Laursen (Haesten), Gunnar by Thomas W. Gabrielsson (Guthrum) and Kjotve/Finnr by Björn Bengtsson (Sigefrid). Last Kingdom is my favourite show and I watched it like 5 times. Also, I like that you got inspiration to play Valhalla by watching the show. I played the game first, but after I finished the show for the first time it gave me inspiration as well to play Valhalla again. Which wasn't hard for me because it is one of my favourite games.
canute
@@danielszabo7988 good taste
This is why I like this game cause I watch the last kingdom twice on Netflix every episode
I'm a 60 year old gamer who has played nearly every AC game. I just finished AC Valhalla (no Platinum) with about 424 hours to complete the main story and all the DLC's. When I started the game I had all the DLC's installed as well. At about Power 150 I headed to Ireland and the Wrath of the Druids. I got a boat load of tungsten. titanium, iron, leather and fabric (the DLCs are more generous with the amount of loot that the main game). I was able to upgrade my quiver and rations to full capacity quickly. I was able to get the Druid and Byzantine armor set (I wore the Byzantine armor set for the rest of the game as I liked the Armor, Melee and Health perk and how it looked on female Eivor) , Norse Gael Light Bow and the Gae Bolg spear that adds bonus lightning damage after 3 hits. Later I headed to the Isle of Skye to meet Kasandra and get the Spear of Leonidas. With all the tungsten and titanium I got from these two DLC's I was able to upgrade all my gear to max Mythical easily. I also was able to push my power to over 350 with the help of the DLC's. I went back to the main game for a bit until my power was over 400 and then headed to play Dawn of Ragnarok and collected Platinum to upgrade my gear to Divine. Note: it is better to pick a single set of gear (amour and weapons) and put your efforts into upgrading just them and not all the gear you collect over time. I finished at max Power 537, all gear is maxed Divine and maxed out the skill tree. Once the skill tree was completed I got Mastery points instead of Skill points that I put towards enhancing either all Bear, Raven or Wolf skills. I finished the game 31 Mastery Points for each of the Bear, Wolf and Raven skill sets.
No offense but idk who the fuck is reading all of that
🏝
hopefully you get to play gta 6
kudos to you that is awesome
@BLVCKCVT-m6swhy do you care ?
if anybody is planning on going for this, i highly recommend getting all the artefacts/mysteries/treasures of each region, each time you pledge to a region. because breaking it up this way was WAY better than doing all 782 in a row
I wish I had seen this earlier😢
@@halalreviewcawym? Buying helix maps?
The issue I often see with these games is that most people main line the story and worry about the other things later, I find it easier to clean all areas as I start to discovering them, this makes the grind less heavy as I arrive to the end game I always have all the resources to do the upgrades an skill trees or settlements.
I can understand this strategy as I did it to but sometimes, you just want to continue the story to see what's going on and not being held back by some stypid chest/event/quests you are not that interested in
i tried this but this is not a good strategy in valhalla because the main quest forces you to go through all those areas with loot again so you just do everything double and there's quite a few that you can't even access until the quest opens it up so you will travel for nothing constantly
I tried this in Origins and it used to be my main strategy in open world games but it didn't work out in Origins for me. Exploring areas as you unlock them and leaving the main questline for some time, for me, made me bored more quickly of the game within exploring the main questline enough.
@@Jaquelin-w-5049yea you gotta have a lot of time on your hands to play that way or you will get bored, like no one wants to come home from work to hunt chests for the 2-4 hours you get a night sorry I’m just not doing that, fuck a platinum trophy it isn’t that deep
@@codycroce2489 Don't get me wrong I absolutely enjoy exploration and big maps and chest/quest hunts, going through Rogue rn lol. But it all comes down to how you complete the game. Its cool that people find diffirent ways to do that, and I learnt that finishing the questline first and exploring the world later works the best. There's just one issue though, you're usually under leveled.
I platinum Assassin's Creed Valhalla last year and my entire family thought something was wrong with me cause I was on it so much, it was super challenging and tiring but I did it and I'm super proud of that. Congrats on the platinum man
What is this obsession? The game sucks ass and u just had to platinum it?
Your family thought you had a gaming addiction 😅
@@campbell27 Hhahahaha they did :D
Ur family was right.
@@cameronhughes-williams4480 gaming is therapeutic for me
As a person who got platinum on origins odyssey and Valhalla saying they were tedious would be a understatement 😅😂
odyssey and origins were actually not that bad, valhalla was really tedious😂
@@raphaelchayer5004 Yeah im working on Valhalla right now and imo its WAY more tedious than Odyssey. Odyssey was incredibly fun with all the fighting and even the boss battles.
Glad you enjoyed The Last Kingdom. While I still haven’t finished it, I really love the work they put into that show. From the cinematography to making village homes look as you would expect during that time. I really loved it.
Ill just rewatch the vikings show when i want to see vikings kill but the last kingdom series and movies really good
The Last kingdom is thé Best viking séries so far for me
The "Hey I watch Last Kingdom and I need to fill my Viking void so I buy this game" reference is same to me. Hope I can do the plat too hahaha
Love it! Currently doing all platinum on all AC games and I keep this one for last, because I know it will be a journey and I wanna feel the ultimate relief after Valhalla. (insert the last scene of the movie gladiator in the field)
I’d love to get to all of them eventually. They’re just such a grind 😂
@@IAmRob If it's really something you want to do, for now, the worst one was Brotherhood😅. And I did, ac1 ac2 ac brotherhood, ac revelations, ac unity, ac origin, ac odyssey. Currently doing ac 3.
@@TheSuperyan06 brotherhood was the most enjoyable for me so far, i have the rest done and AC3 has been the one i don’t want to finish
@@Dylan-Dickson Now, I can see what you're saying with standing waiting for someone to do something. But for the rest I guess it's okay
@@TheSuperyan06 im on brotherhood at the moment, what a grind, 75% complete. Ive platinumed most assassins creeds apart from syndicate and unity, is it easy to get the online ones now on unity?
Hope he never realized that you could buy iron ore from merchants in 200 piece bundles😂😂
I’m in pain
There is an arrow ability that does the same thing as the red exploitable pots. Meaning if you have a wall you need to explode you just need 1 adrenaline to use the ability and then explode it with an arrow. Makes collecting things so much easier
There is an explosive Arrow ability
Exactly I was gonna comment this, bro made it so much harder on himself not going for the BOKs first.
The "Explosive Retreat" ability from the Dawn of Ragnarok DLC can also break those walls. I didn't actually know there was an arrow ability capable of doing the same thing until today.
It took me about a year to plat this one. It felt tedious but doing the collectables and world events alongside the main story in the territories helped, because I just knew it would've felt annoying to keep going back to them. I also tried to kill all the members of the order as early as possible so by the end of the game, when Aelfred is revealed as the Father it was plat.
Personally I feel like I lose motivation if I leave too much to grind after the main story.
Just wanna say I love your videos. I don't know why but RUclips decided to start suggesting platinum hunters like yourself to me, and admittedly I've seen a lot at this point, but very few channels have stood out to me like your videos have. The pacing and the voiceover scripting is just perfect and unlike some of the other channels I've had suggested, you keep me engaged and enjoying your stuff through to the end of the video and then I find myself looking to see if you have any other videos available that I haven't watched yet (I'm slowly running out.) Love what you do man, keep up the awesome work because it's just so incredibly entertaining.
I have to say people like you have my respect really, i have every AC just missing only Vallhala and i have to say i didnt get single platinum, i have to put it down for a long time because these are so annoying i cant do it in like one time in row and i am one of those people who did most Bethesda games on plat and even almost every Far cry from ubi themselfs, but god AC series will take me forever, good job sir.
Bro I cannot thank you enough ..you explained the whole story of Valhalla better than any RUclipsr out there !!! I suggest you start explaining video game stories and your channel will blow up
thank you for doing this platinum,i waited a long time to find someone who wanted to do this,i need only 2 trophies to get the plat myself
Welcome to the ever growing and great trophy hunter community on RUclips! Can’t wait to watch more of these vids!
Glad I found trophy hunting. Some of the best gaming videos on RUclips!
I just did this a few months ago and i feel every bit of your pain man..i also had like 130ish hours to get the platinum and it felt never ending..although i liked orlog for some reason lol
I'm honestly not sure what's more impressive, getting platinum on this game or keeping the long ass story straight enough to summarize it for this video. 😅Awesome video!!
Haha it was a challenge for sure. Thanks man!
Let alone being able to just get through such a long arduous monotone fragmented sh*t fest that is the story for this game
I love how everything about this game can be desribed as a tedious struggle.
This is insanely well put together, well done dude
This was very entertaining!
I gotta hand it to you, you’re making me interested to pick back up and finish this game. It was just tooo long and I’d rather spend my time on other things😂
I'm re-downloading it right now
Awesome video bro! 👍
Thank you brother!
I absolutely loved this completion. I've done it myself, including all the DLCs, and I had a great time.

Nah son, f that lol
Hats off to you man, this took some insane dedication
That ending statement "This was my first Platinum trophy ever" got me.
Poor dude chose one of the griendiest Platinum trophy as his first ever.
When he comes to Sony games, he'll think they are a walk in the park.

Looking forward to more videos from you man. Keep it up!

I did this platinum as well and i was incredibly close to become mentally insane, i'm dead serious. Overdesign 2 and the fishing all types was the worst ones!
This being his first ever platinum is actually just torturous to the mind
honestly i had fun playing the game. im not done w the main quest & im 79 hrs in. aside from the crashes, its fun. the mysteries perhaps one of the best part. every encounter is unique and interesting
36:50 , you did it, my icelandic ancestors are proud
I had no problem getting platinum on Valhalla. I fell in love with the game and it just all happened naturally
Glad to see someone that feels like me. After I finished everything, both the platinum and 100% the DLCs, I had so much fun that I was honestly surprised to see so many people upset or feeling that it´s a grind. It felt so easy for me and not tiring at all lmao. Oh and I also loved orlog, left me wanting to buy a physical one
Just watched this video. Been holding off on it cause I've just completed the platinum for this game myself and didn't wanna be spoiled. Think my strategy was a bit better where I grabbed bits and pieces of everything. So I didn't need to grab the collectibles in one go, the orlog (which I enjoyed) and so on, so it never became that tedious even if some of the collectibles were horrible. But I really enjoyed this platinum even though it took me 200 hours (dlc included). You did it though Rob. Good job!
The wealth collectables are a hassle but for the ones where you need to blow up a wall, theres an ability from a book of knowledge where you shoot an explosive arrow which makes it much easier than finding the route with the explosive barrels cause you can just shoot the arrow from anywhere
You have achieved what seemed impossible. Well done Rob.
I enjoyed that video. Loved the humor and the editing. At first, I was like: Man, this video is long but then I remembered my experience with the game and I felt slightly annoyed by the tediousness of this game. It is still my favorite AC game after AC II, because Vikings. I am impressed that this is your first Platinum. Nice.
Thanks dude! I tried to keep it as short and fast paced as possible but my God this game is long 😂
@@IAmRob It was perfect and it made my Final Fantasy X grind more enjoyable.
This game is like a toxic relationship you wanna leave and turn your back to it, but something just makes you go back
Absolute legend for getting it for this game.
I have compassion on you rob! I’m trying to play assassins creed odyssey, and I don’t think I’m ready.
Odyssey is also a massive game 😅
@@IAmRob yeah I’ll let you know when I finish it. Probably when cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t have bugs anymore. Lmao 🤣
@@Zernon123Twitch But it it was more fun than valhalla and that by a huge lead. And the side quest are actually side quests with a story.
Is it long absolutely but the ship battle alone make up for it all.
I would much rather play Odyssey 100% again than just play the story in Valhalla :D
@@Ri_Shin_Marco %100 percent agree!😄👉🏼
@@Zernon123TwitchCyberpunk has gotten better I got the Platinum for it on PlayStation here recently
Only thing that’s annoying for me is the bloody fishing lol. I got strangely addicted to this game and decided to plat it.
You coulda shot the fish lol did that trophy in 20 mins
15:00 about those little jars, you could just use the bomb ability on the bow, I think it’s called incendiary powder trap or something like that. It blows up the walls the same
I wanna see this with all the DLC trophies as well. about 91 or so trophies to get.
As a fan of old AC games it pains me how much those games are watered down
And im impressed with your unrelentness in doing this much of grind
Homie made it so difficult.. there’s an ability that has the same function as the red explody barrels.. there’s an ability that slows down time that you can activate to grab the tattoo designs before they float away.. like bro really was playing on the hardest difficulty.. I have like almost 300 hours into Valhalla and I loved every second of those 300 hours.. never a dull moment when I played the game.. and yes I’ve platinumed it as well.. It truly isn’t a game for the faint of heart.. you have to have an immense amount of patience for this game.. but im the kind of AC fan that loves long games.. after the 300 hours into Valhalla I went back and put another 270 into Odyssey.. platinumed Odyssey.. I loved every bit of that.. Odyssey is definitely my favorite RPG style AC game.. I turned around put like 120 hours into Origins.. platinumed Origins.. somewhere in there i platniumed out Unity and Syndicate.. both games prolly have another 120 hours in them as well.. and I fully anticipate on doing the same with AC Mirage when it drops in a few days
I know this might be an unpopular opinion but I love this game and I’m proud of it.
Oddly enough I kinda miss playing it 😂
20:26 i love when platinum youtubers quote another platinum youtubers, i think this trophy hunter community is growing up more and more than previous years
22:14 if only he knew you could slow down time with an ability and get all of those flying papers instantly 😂
WHAT YOU COULD DO THAT?!?!?!?
I platinumed the game and I had no clue, WHAT?!
@@jakubjakub3979 yeah it’s that book of knowledge move yk. It slows down time for a minute or Eivor gets a speed boost one or the other. It works on EVERYTHING!! Including the flying paper. It literally just stays in one place. Just use it in the beginning
@@theskull961 I didn’t get platinum but I did put almost 200 hours into the game. Got every outfit, weapon, etc etc. but oh yeah as soon as I got that slow motion move from the book of knowledge I spammed it the entire game. Especially when you stack that with poison and fire dual wield daggers. You LITERALLY speed blitzes the entire game with ease. It actually starts to get boring 😅. So I switched to a more stealthy play style and using my bow more. Yeah i just used slow motion for everything and I fucked around basically and found out
You are a legend. I got my platinum on odyssey. But yeah valhalla is a lot harder. Lots of respect to you.
Did anyone ever tell him that that explosive arrow ability can open those cracked rocks that he needed the red jars for to open?

Such a real one 🤝
Went to loonden had sussex. Maybe this should be on the orange tube. Platnium counter was a great touch and wonderful story telling throughout. Great job! ROLL TIDE
Roll tide!
Honestly, the game although repetitive is enjoyable, and the sheer amount of content along with the GIANT world, makes it a solid B tier game. Platinumed it myself recently, and the mastery challenges (getting all gold) was actually challenging, frustrating, but suprisingly fun.
No wonder why people don't like this game, when they play it the way you do...
I can't imagine any sane person finishing the story as fast as they can just to do the same style of side quests over and over, that shit gets repetitive af.
I'm pretty sure I spent 140 hours completing this game, platinum and all. But it taken me like 6 months to finish the game, doing side quests scattered throughout the main story line. I had a blast playing this game, gotta be one of the best out of the last several games.
The witch chick with her rack out took me days and many levels up to beat. You beat her so quick.
I really enjoyed getting the platinum on this game, and although some trophies were tedious it was just a great experience in general
There’s a slow down time ability that makes the tattoos so much easier to get
Thank you for confirming my aching suspicion that this is 100% a game that I don’t want to play 😂
Alabama native here thanks for this amazing content and i I’ll be watching more in the coming months
never understood those 100% or platinum runs. for me its all about main story and world exploration, i completed game, then spend few months running around in all maps, and that made me enjoy game as all assassin creed games before, this is torture having to repeat same stuff for thousands of times...
This just made me rly wanna get the game. Dont get how 'too much content' is ever an issue. Literally get more value for money.

Excellent video, sir. When i got this platinum (307 hours with dlc) it was off the back of platting Origins and Odyssey. Over 700 hours in total on those 3.
What even is this? I have 160 hours in this game and in this whole time I've been playing. What were you doing? That can't even be consider "playing", what kind of experience is this? All the things that you had to do just for a trophy I did by myself without even thinking of a reward while playing or walking around the map. That's the way to experience games. Of course it looks tedious to you if this is how you spent your time. You want to torture yourself? Fine, but then don't tell us fake stuff like that this is the nature of the game cause it's not. Can't stand this kind of content. Like for example the search for supplies, I wasn't even at half the plot that i already had my village at max level.
Man’s TLK is my absolute favorite show of all time and I feel like I’ve watched almost every show out there
It’s amazing! So hyped for the movie.
It’s crazy how much better you made the pacing of the games story sound. Even though one thing to the next is slogging through 10 hours
I love the last kingdom watched it over a few times now. Loved hearing it mentioned
This intro is super good 👍 keep up the good work
My first play through I got to the last two counties and gave up because I simply couldn't be bothered I'd had enough. Attempted a second play through a couple of months ago and made alliances with two counties before packing it in again. First AC that I've not finished main story, it just never stops and drains you
Incredible video brother! Don’t play but man was this fun to watch!

1:11 "...Gang! Gang!" was hilarious, LMAO!
so a fun fact i learned on accident that saved me LOADS of time, the explosive powder trap ranged ability can be used to blow open those rubble walls instead of finding the explosive pots. Granted it takes some adrenaline but I always had at least one bar to use for it...
Last month I got the platinum plus all DLC trophies for both PS4 and PS5 and not gonna lie, after 400ish hours, I kinda felt sad it was over
i know this is super late but the fire pots are not the only way to destroy the walls, you can also use fire arrows I'm pretty sure they will also do the trick, and i love your videos keep up the great work
One thing that kinda got me is him not seeing the king as the head, he was clearly the bad guy since the trailer
