Reason why ur machine failed: where you (in your video ca. 0:40) have a hole of ~ 1 x 4 cm in the gray plasitc slide underneath the rotating wheels, there should be a raised plastic piece inserted - that lifts the ball. i guess that flew off on your machine and u did the correct thing to repair it this way. thumbs up

Well done! Do you think the slide needs to have those ridges? I’d bet taping over the ridges won’t affect the machine’s function-if true, we could reduce wear on our tennis balls!
I have the same issue. And so I will try adding a screw and washer and hopefully that will resolve my issue too. I actually tried to wrap each wheel with PVC tape and that didn’t work. Thanks for the tip.
So when I opened up my lobster elite, I noticed that I did not have a hole in the ramp to attach the screw. And having to remove the ramp would have been too much of a challenge. However using your same concept, I taped a washer on top of the ramp using the PVC tape I previously used on the rollers. Lo and behold it worked no more ball jams. Thanks for your video it really helped.
Hi is there a spec label on motors? Voltage Current RPM Power? Please let me know. I want to make my own machine. Need to select motors. Thinking of using 220v angle grinder motors should be fast and torqued enough. Battery grinder maybe too slow

I have the pickle lobster pickle ball machine and this did not work because the opening is too far up the ramp so the balls just go by the Bolt and get stuck. Check to see where the opening is on the ramp for you.
It wouldn't be a big deal if Lobster stood behind their machines when this happens. They could send out replacement wheels at a reasonable fee and let you swap them out yourself. But the problem is that then they become liable if you do the job poorly and someone is hurt, etc. as a result. So they create the situation where people hack the machine like this. With all the vibration there will be a problem eventually that the nut holding that bolt backs out. Then one day the bolt will come flying out the business end of the machine. Maybe with a lock washer, or some lock-tite, that won't happen... who knows? The best solution is the correct repair, and we need a "right to repair" at least that requires manufacturers to supply all parts at reasonable price (i.e., not 1000% mark-up, not including their lawyers fees and insurance costs!) for the true life of the machine, not the BS warranty period that gives them total control by setting very short warranty times (Lobster is 2 years I believe... for a $2000+ machine, that's inadequate IMHO.) One thing that is interesting from your solution is that Lobster says to use pressure-less balls. Those balls use harder rubber, and will end up abrading the wheel faster. They bought Tretorn, so obviously there is some possible conflict of interest. Many sources will also tell you that the ball machine will throw better with slightly worn down balls with less felt. Not sure if that also means it wears out faster.

There should be a metal clip that goes where you put you bolt and washer which serves the same function. But this is a good tip.
