Just would like to add one clarification to granite vs quartz : granite is more heat resistant than quartz and one needs to use surface pads on quartz countertops before keeping hot pots/ utensils on it.Quartz is more durable but not heat resistant compared to granite.
Yes that's true. Quartz is stain resistant but not heat resistant. We can't place a hot vessel directly from the stove but in Granite it's possible. Been using Kalinga quartz for sometime now and it adds beauty to the kitchen for sure

I see the utility countertop height is increased coz of dishwasher n washing machine, also the sink has been placed on the same height so won't there be any problem washing vessels or doing other work on the counter top? Is this height correct? I need help on this as I'm going to renovate my kitchen.

Congratulations on the kitchen of your dreams. I got the plan to combine the utility area and kitchen in our new home but one question here, where you clean the mop after mopping.
Hi ! I use the Gala spin mop so that usually rinses all the water by spinning. After use, I just dry it by opening the window. At times, once in a while I ask my maid to clean the mop in the bathroom if required. Anyway, the utility provided by the builder, didn’t have any separate area for cleaning, apart from the utility sink.
