Grpßer Aufacker - suddenly winter was here

The Aufacker is a 1542.1 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Ammergau Alps 3 kilometers northeast of Oberammergau, in the German state of Bavaria.
The first section runs along the popular "Altherrenweg" to the marked entry point to the Großer Aufacker. The path winds its way up partly steep serpentines to the summit, which awaits you with a fantastic view of Oberammergau. For the annual Ludwig fire, mountain fires are lit here in honor of the fairy tale king.
It goes down over wider paths through the mountain forest to the Romanshöhe panorama restaurant where you can stop and let your gaze wander over the Ammertal.
