- The battery is not charged to 100% while docked in my experience, it hovers around 50%+ which is okay with me as long as it doesn't die while docked.
I try 3 different brands of USB-C to HDMI adapters with power delivery (PD)
I also try a 4th one not in this video but it too works.
If you don't use a powered dock, the Pinephone Pro dies in just under an hour
The original Pinephone has a convergence dock that is powered. But you can't use the convergence dock with the PPP.
I'm using Mobian with Phosh on an SD card. Manjaro/Plasma Mobile is on the eMMC (not shown in this video). I found Plasma to not be very good at handling external displays. The settings would get screwed up or something would break and throw everything off.
The three brands I tried here all work. I also bought an Anker 7-in-1 but I have not received it yet. But I imagine it will also work. (yes it does, tested)
TOTU 9-in-1 Type C (this one is nice has card readers and ethernet)
QGeeM 4-in-1 (small, most wires come out in same direction)
j5create as mentioned above works (this one is big/has ethernet but does not have card readers)
I'm using an Anker Nano II 65W power supply
I also show a terribly designed dock stand that I made in 2 hours... it works for me.
0:05 Totu
2:04 QGeeM 4-in-1
3:30 J5 create
5:32 self-made phone stand (poor design)
0:05 Totu

Not shown Anker 7-in-1 also works
Used Anker Nano II 65W power supply
Is the Pine Phone your main phone?
No, I use a mid-range Android phone.
Which keyboard is that?
Epomaker 84
Be aware it is not high quality, made of plastic
Using Gatteron reds here (soft compared to Cherry mx red)
