I wish Macross F was rebooted. I really liked Alto Saotome. He was nearly as good as Maximillian Jenius. Even nearly beat Brerea in the final battle.

Dam, I'm so glad I missed everything after ep. 4. Even the movie was just a mis-mash of Zero, Plus and Frontier. They should have just called it Macross: Final. Thanks for making that vid. The music is great and it fits.

Against a similar but artificially created musical group. With its own Macross fortress and fighters of a different model. And as always, the desire to capture the minds of people, the galaxy and everything in general)).
The ship Chaos and other groups are fighting is called Battle Astrea. It is commanded by Ian Cromwell and funded by the "Epsilon Group". They are dedicated to the use of synthetic and digital intelligence and seek to eliminate Lady M, who they feel is holding back vital technology to the combined Humans/Zentraedi.
They form the group called "Heimdall". Cromwell has a music group that are an AI version of Walkure. The "Dark Walkure".
Edit: "Epsilon Foundation" not group. Berger Stone is an operative for this mysterious group. They create advanced technology to sell to the highest bidder. Battle Astrea and it's fighters are developmental and are extremely advanced.

've been watching it for a long time, the link is lost
Delta's probably one of, if not the only Macross series with what I consider to be the WEAKEST overall plot. Pacing of the series was overall terrible. and much like tradition of movie adaptations being different from the OG series they are retelling, I don't remember ANY of this when I slogged through watching Delta.
I'll probably have to watch it to see how bad, but Delta as a whole, left me disappointed after something like Frontier.
The frontier even now looks quite appropriate and technologically advanced

never watched macross, only heard of it, felt it was stupid with having everything having a mech mode, cool ship designs ruined by mech fighting.

That’s the genre. Not for everyone of course, but the series has its fans.

I watched all Macross except Delta (stopped at ep 2) and Macross 7 (never watched for different reasons). I guess, that somehow, i became "intollerant" about my thoughts, unable to accept that in the same universe you could have the VF-1 and a rockstar who uses a Guitar to pilot his valkyrie

@@giancarloga8850 I had issues with Macross 7 for similar reasons. I pretty much watched it for the continuity. The Sound Force mecha were the weakest in the franchise IMHO for similar reasons to what you stated. The idea of musical instruments as flight controls was a bit much for me. I did like the production VF-19S design as well as the VF-22 Sturmvogel.
I thought Delta was average as anime goes with good mecha designs. I think its issue was that it felt rushed after the greatness that was Macross Frontier so didn't have the long development time that Frontier had. I personally think they fixed some of the story issues and pacing in the two movies.
