    In Fraunhofer distances are at infinite but here distances are finite, so why we used Fraunhofer rather than Fresnel?

    Sir what's the relation between the wire and the slit originally used for experiment ?

      Diffraction occurs at sharp INNER edges of a slit while diffraction occurs at the OUTER sharp edges of a wire.

      It depends on how accurately you note minima location. Normally to the micrometer scale.

    But sir i have done this experiment many times but the diffraction pattern is not obtained on screen even when changing the distance bw screen nd wire also
    Can you tell me the reason,

      Take thin wire like hair.
