United have been buying many players every season since Ferguson left. I hate this 'players' narrative. Under Ole, it was the players. Ten Hag, they needed a rebuild, and needed to get 'his signings' in. His signings came in, and now it's the players again. So now, you need to get specific players to fit Amorims system. So what happens if Amorims players don't play well?
You sack him, and then blame the next managers failure on having Amorims players.
HOW ABOUT SIGNING A TOP CLASS, PROVEN MANAGER WITH EUROPEAN PEDIGREE TO HANDLE A CLUB THE SIZE OF MAN UNITED??????

Arteta 2020 played a counter attacking style (which he won FA cup with beating City & Chelsea) he didn't want to play full time whilst he worked with Edu on a plan to get as many players out of the squad in Summer 2020 & 2021... By 2022 & 2 8th places & 1 5th place virtually no one over 24 was left from the squad he inherited....
Remember he was allowed to go to war with Ozil & Auba as necessary & players contracts were mutually ended taking necessary financial hits...
A big problem for Utd is the leveraged debt Glazers placed on Utd, 5yrs of financial losses & FFP/PSR beginning to bite them in the ass

They are both right tbh, what you can’t do is get relegated. Amorim has to skirt sending his message and sticking to his system with getting enough points to not get relegated. If he deems he can stick to his system without relegation, we have to trust him with that assessment. We praise managers for adapting their systems to players available, Flex is just saying if he has to adapt the system for some games to survive relegation, then he should consider it.

  • @Tee95145

I actually love the state of things. The argument has always been mixed between whether the managers or the players were the problem. Flex = “we have to change SOMETHING”.
Yes Flex. This time, we are going to change. Instead of the manager caving to the players, for them to play AVERAGE in their preferred formation, the manager isn’t to cave.
What you fail to understand is if the manager caves in and wait until the summer like you suggest then when we get to the summer, all the players that he keeps, we’ll have to learn his formation again.
Whereas if he sticks with his formation fast forward to the summer and the players know it off by heart and it is only the new signings that need to adapt.
Your inability to follow something through to a logical conclusion is becoming painful to listen to. Pack your emotions away. Control yourself. And stay the course. It is sounds like you that allow these players to go through managers like bags of skittles.

“I’m saying ‘guys, we’ve got Liverpool and Arsenal next, he’s going to have to try something different here’”, says the Very Sensible RUclipsr. Fortunately, Amorim was listening, and hadn’t even considered that he might have a different approach for different games. With that one suggestion, Flex single-handedly revolutionised football management, and the manager who had previous won LITERALLY EVERY GAME HE PLAYED THIS SEASON learned a Very Valuable Lesson and realised that he might have to do more with his team than just leading them to the pitch, saying “3-4-3” and sitting down to pray.

As an Arsenal fan we were in the same position for what felt like an eternity, but luckily they had the patience, means and plan to do a complete rebuild. I know some vocal social media fans are still crying weekly for trophies, but I'd rather be a well balanced side in a title race and still have a chance at every cup than yell "Arteta out" as soon as we go on a 2-3 game streak of losing points.
That type of winning culture takes years to build back up.
We've come far while steadily rebuilding our squad, and I'd rather be on our current trajectory than sacking the manager and risk having to start all over again, being the butt of all jokes.
As fun as it is to banter a Man United loss, I genuinely hope you'll will find yourselves eventually, as I miss the old rivalry of the late 90's and early 00's

I agree with Flex. Arteta came in with emery’s men and grudgingly got results to stabilise the situation, playing 3 at the back because of the kind of players he had. And today he is playing fluid football with his own players challenging for the highest trophies in football, something arsenal fans cried out for many years. That’s what Amorim should do, you can’t force wack players to play your style and keep failing. You’re a football manager, understand your current team and try to get the best out of them for now, then get the right players for your system when you can
