The Suburban Multiple Unit 260 series (SMU 260), alongside the Interurban Multiple Unit 160 series (IMU 160) were introduced in 2008 simultaneously and were built by Downer Rail Maryborough. They are based off the Transperth B series ordered before these.
In this video SMU 280 appears to have its driver make an announcement (see the Wacol platform announcement).
