I adore the 757s and Condor's 753s..I've flown with them twice and plan to fly them next year again if they don't retire them (hopefully not)..Unfortunately the 757s are scarce now, so let's enjoy them while we can.Condor and Icelandair are the only european airlines left with the 753!
Absolutely agree with you. We should enjoy them while we still can, as it's a plane that will be substituted by the 737 MAX in the next years. I thought that Icelandair only had B757-200, but now I've checked it and yes, they have 2x Boeing 757-300. Thanks for the info! :)

Muchas gracias!! En este viaje se han juntado muchas cosas chulas: el Boeing 757 que es un avión que me encanta y una atmósfera perfecta para grabar con nitidez todos los paisajes. La verdad es que en mis viajes, cuando las aerolíneas ofrecen la posibilidad de comprar comida caliente en el avión, prefiero hacerlo así. De ese modo no me tengo que preocupar de andar comiendo en las escalas, especialmente mientras son cortas. Saludos desde Bratislava! :)

I had my flight with Condor ..Brussels > Frankfurt connection Frankfurt > Cape Town South Africa. . The welcome was nice .. plane was clain..but ! Food for long distance was poor portions the food they show you is probably business class... everything on you screen Tv & Movies you had to pay extra ( absurd) and i have experienced the baddest landing ever on SA/soil. But i must admit that the crew was very professional. Thx

Es correcto. Condor siempre fue una aerolínea que dio beneficios. De ahí que el gobierno Alemán le diese un préstamo para garantizar su viabilidad los primeros meses tras la quiebra de Thomas Cook UK. Ojalá salga de esta perfectamente y siga volando muchos más años. El servicio que ofrecen me parece excelente. Saludos! :)
Both Blue Air and Tarom are on my waitng list and right now with almost the maximum priority to fly! :) Just a few days ago, I've booked some flights with airBaltic, LOT and Czech Airlines that were also in the wish list. Let's see when it will be possible to fly to/from Romania, but I expect to do it before the end January 2020. :)

The scenery was amazing, though from what I see on the video I'd call the rest of the experience merely satisfactory. Tolerable legroom, and free food and IFE aren't necessary on a flight of this length. It would meet my expectations.

It's just a way that some people have to celebrate that they are starting their holidays or just that they arrived. There a lot of people that don't like flying at all and they feel unsafe up there. So for them, being again on the ground is a reason to be happy and feel relaxed. Let them clap, they are not doing anything bad to anybody ;)
Haha I think that it would have been a great idea to continue developing this aircraft instead of the B737. But it's also very easy to make these opinions when you have already seen the consequences of the MAX... Well, now there's no other chance than fixing the MAX and making it profitable again. :)

Condor siempre fue una aerolínea que dio beneficios. De ahí que el gobierno Alemán le diese un préstamo para garantizar su viabilidad los primeros meses tras la quiebra de Thomas Cook UK.
Ojalá salga de esta perfectamente y siga volando muchos más años. El servicio que ofrecen me parece excelente.

Both Blue Air and Tarom are on my waitng list and right now with almost the maximum priority to fly! :)
Just a few days ago, I've booked some flights with airBaltic, LOT and Czech Airlines that were also in the wish list.
Let's see when it will be possible to fly to/from Romania, but I expect to do it before the end January 2020. :)

Condor is from Thomas cook ir Lufthansa??
Condor was integrated on the Thomas Cook Group, but now the group disappeared. However, Condor was a profitable airline, so the German government gave them a loan to not have problems during the first months after Thomas Cook UK bankruptcy.
Rumours say that Lufthansa would like to acquire Condor, but I don't think the European Union would allow that operation, as it would be a total monopoly in Germany. Let's see what happens...

The scenery was amazing, though from what I see on the video I'd call the rest of the experience merely satisfactory. Tolerable legroom, and free food and IFE aren't necessary on a flight of this length. It would meet my expectations.

To be honest, compared with the European standard, the service on thi flight was really good. Even with legacy airlines you don't get that kind of meals. One exception to this is Austrian Airlines ✈✈

Condor was part of the Thomas Cook Group. When Thomas Cook went bankruptcy, Condor was profitable, so the German government gave them a loan to guaranty that they would survive. :)

It's just a way that some people have to celebrate that they are starting their holidays or just that they arrived.
There a lot of people that don't like flying at all and they feel unsafe up there. So for them, being again on the ground is a reason to be happy and feel relaxed. Let them clap, they are not doing anything bad to anybody ;)

Haha I think that it would have been a great idea to continue developing this aircraft instead of the B737. But it's also very easy to make these opinions when you have already seen the consequences of the MAX... Well, now there's no other chance than fixing the MAX and making it profitable again. :)

Lo primero tendría que clasificar entre aviones más antiguos como son el MD80 o el propio B57 y, a parte, los más modernos como el B787, A220 ó A350.

La compañía que quebró fue Thomas Cook UK, pero Condor siempre ha sido una aerolínea que ha dado beneficios. Por ello, para evitar ser arrastrada por la Británica, el gobierno Alemán le dio un préstamo para garantizar su solvencia en los primeros meses sin el apoyo del Grupo. Esperemos que siga operando muchos años más porque la experiencia a bordo es muy buena! :)
