I just saw them tonight, and I gotta say that four years after your original post, they STILL haven't lost a step. Brilliant show from start to finish.
Always and forever, thank you to Great Britain and the British people whose creativity, since the 1960s, has given the rest of the World hundreds of unique bands and music of unparalleled beauty, quirkiness and atmosphere such as The Psychedelic Furs. What would our lives have been without British bands? And while I'm at it, thank you, love and admiration from Palermo, Sicily, also to Cocteau Twins, Pink Floyd, Syd Barrett, Discharge, Lush, Wire, Colin Newman, Killing Joke, Siouxsie And The Banshees, Broadcast, The Smiths, Human League, Curve, Skunk Anansie, Genesis, Steve Hackett, Boards Of Canada, Adam & The Ants, Public Image Limited, Prefab Sprout, Lloyd Cole & The Commotion, The The, Napalm Death, Cranes, Cardiacs, Led Zeppelin, Yazoo, Iron Maiden, Police, Blur, Fall, Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks, Jamiroquai, Seal, Slowdive, Clash, Madness, Cure, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, Goldfrapp, Dubstar, Charlatans, Ride, Heaven 17, Judas Priest, Marillion, The Buggles, Throbbing Gristle, Japan, Nick Drake, This Mortal Coil, Pet Shop Boys, Cardiacs, Damned, Dire Straits, Echobelly, Teardrop Explodes, Carcass, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, Eurythmics, Soft Cell, Thrilled Skinny, Dead Or Alive, Psychedelic Furs, Simple Minds, XTC, The Streets, Pretenders, The Queen, Lily Allen, Tears For Fears, Supertramp, The Kooks, Duran Duran, Brian Eno, Magazine, Groove Armada, Amy Winehouse, Coldplay, Saxon, Dead Can Dance, Massive Attack, Electric Light Orchestra, The Who, Inspiral Carpets, The Wedding Presents, Kate Bush, Cabaret Voltaire, Placebo, The Rolling Stones, Housemartins, Visage, Culture Club, Expelled, Aphex Twin, The Jam, P.J. This song just possesses me. Because I'm manic this song just fits my energy level. Just keeps coming in waves ... never relents. What I love about it is that it comes at you just like a locomotive, yet it swirls around like a roller coaster and is deeply romantic. What a train ride!
Mark Patterson :) You are welcome. I grew up with them and all sorts of other great bands. These guys never got the same type "fame" but not because they are/weren't as good. I never stopped listening to them. They have never gotten old and I can't say the same for many of the others. :)
I'm now 16 again with all the 16 year old angst xx and loving now knowing how it all plays out ... Some good ,some bad ,, but the music never fails xxxx
No kind of love No kind of love I don't wanna make no scene Lovers come and go Or make you Mrs. Anyone Or make you Mr. Me I'm into you like a train Into you like a train Into you like a train Yeah, fall in love Yeah, fall in love I don't wanna tape you down Or shack you up with me Or put you where the flowers go And get into your mind I'm into you like a train Into you like a train Into you like a train If you believe that anyone Like me within a song Is outside it all Then you are all so wrong If you believe that anyone Like me within a song Would try and change it all Then you have been put on Into you like a train Into you like a train Into you like a train Yeah, fall in love Now fall in love I don't wanna wear no side And complicate it all Or celebrate your prettiness And kick you in it all I'm into you like a train Into you like a train Into you like a train If you believe that anyone Like me within a song Is outside it all Then you are all so wrong If you believe that anyone Like me within a song Would try and change it all Then you have been put on So wrong Into you like a train
I love the simple yet driving drums and bass, and on top of that the two guitarists noodling away their own thing plus the sax and Richards vocals. And even with all those elements the mix doesn't feel suffocatingly full of stuff. Kinda funny how the lyrics were kind of anti-love on the first album, yet they still wrote basically what is kind of like a love song. Although it's definitely not a cheesy love tune.
Phenomenal song. Jawbreaker actually pulled off a very good cover of this song...which easily could have been a total disaster. Ballsy song for a band to even attempt...this original version is a stone classic
Holy crap... the first 30 seconds of Tim's bass... sounds like The Cult was "inspired" on on their great song, "Spiritwalker". Damn. Hope it wasn't straight up copying, as I love The Cult, especially before they went arena rock. [love some of that, too!] I'm only now realizing this similar bass line, as I've [gasp...] never heard this song by the Furs, before. I was listening to "All of this and nothing" because I have loved that song for decades... and damn, if youtube didn't have this on the right column of suggested videos... I feel lame, deservedly so.
Hi My beautiful husband and boys:) I've been battling the 🌏 I will get U soon Paraiso together forever eternity and I love you too baby girl and I have a few questions about YOUR DEATH MEAL I love you 🙋 Grace God 💋

Their first two albums define an era, flawlessly.
I saw them in small bar with Echo and The Bunnymen when I was stationed in Sydney, Australia on Aug 5th, 2001. That was an amazing night
Holy crap. Two of my favorite voices. Would've loved to have seen that.
When this album came out it blew my mind. It still does. Haunting and beautiful - people who knock the 80s were not really there.
the shoulder pads were something to erase from the memory
Still my favorite of all the Furs songs.
Cristian Moreira Fossatti no question, the least poppy.
My fav ..... so forward and not a pop song
Couldn’t agree more.
Mine too. It kicks ass from start to finish.
It bangs
This band was so ahead of it's time.
Joy & sadness in one song. One of the best 80s album
Brilliant track, brilliant album, brilliant band
YES!!!!!
The Drums are Awesome !
Saw them last night. Unlike other favorites from the era, they haven't lost a step. One of the best performances I've attended.
Lots of new personnel since the original but Butler still rules.
I just saw them tonight, and I gotta say that four years after your original post, they STILL haven't lost a step. Brilliant show from start to finish.
Sounds as good now as the first time I heard it. God I love this band. Seeing them in a couple of weeks!

My favorite of their songs. I interviewed them for college radio in the early 80s and enjoyed a great show that night.
They made two great albums. They should be proud. I saw them live in 1980. Awesome gig
This and Blacks/Radio transport me to my high school days. ❤️

One of their best in my opinion.. it’s still a breath of fresh air... brilliant x
My fave Furs song.
Still touches deep down into my soul.
bless you for saying this!

Saw them in '87 in Saint Louis at the Fabulous Fox. GREAT SHOW. Actually got to talk to talk to Butler, WOW!
Me too !
Hard to choose but I do think their best song. Just incredible - especially the lyrical content - just pure poetry.
Just saw them last night. All the memories come flooding back. They were such a breath of fresh air.
BRITISH 🇬🇧 BEST GROUP BAND EVER
MASTERPIECE
FABULOUS
It dont get much better than this when your in the mood load x
James tebbutt Hell yeah!!!!! :D
still gives me goosebumps. Top song, top band
This is some high energy Furs! Feel sorry for people stuck on Pretty in Pink.
Such a good song!!!
Probably the best album of the 80s and this track is proof positive...
Still love'them
Won't argue. Their first two albums....a perfect debut with no "sophomore slump".
Richard Butler is one of the greatest frontmen in rock n roll history.
Yes. Absolutely 😻💯
I'm now 16 again with all the 16 year old angst xx and loving now knowing how it all plays out ... Some good ,some bad ,, but the music never fails xxxx
See the furs last year on my birthday man that was some present, what a fantastic live band.
No kind of love
No kind of love
I don't wanna make no scene
Lovers come and go
Or make you Mrs. Anyone
Or make you Mr. Me
I'm into you like a train
Into you like a train
Into you like a train
Yeah, fall in love
Yeah, fall in love
I don't wanna tape you down
Or shack you up with me
Or put you where the flowers go
And get into your mind
I'm into you like a train
Into you like a train
Into you like a train
If you believe that anyone
Like me within a song
Is outside it all
Then you are all so wrong
If you believe that anyone
Like me within a song
Would try and change it all
Then you have been put on
Into you like a train
Into you like a train
Into you like a train
Yeah, fall in love
Now fall in love
I don't wanna wear no side
And complicate it all
Or celebrate your prettiness
And kick you in it all
I'm into you like a train
Into you like a train
Into you like a train
If you believe that anyone
Like me within a song
Is outside it all
Then you are all so wrong
If you believe that anyone
Like me within a song
Would try and change it all
Then you have been put on
So wrong
Into you like a train
Like a steamroller ! love this tune
Oh God. I can almost taste the gin and tonic and the sting of a deep drag off a Dunhill ...
It’s been over a decade since I’ve had a Dunhill. Quit smoking a few years ago but those things were a treat from my normal Marlboro Lights.
Just got reminded of this song today...excellent!
In a mighty, and sometimes under estimated catalogue this remains the best thing they ever did. It still burns today.
First heard this song in the summer of 1981 from a jukebox in a diner on University Place in NYC. Brings me right back.
El mejor disco de los furs sin duda. Un discazo vaya!!! Saxos desbocados, el bello caos como se les denominaba.
The Furs run into ME like a train!
I love the simple yet driving drums and bass, and on top of that the two guitarists noodling away their own thing plus the sax and Richards vocals. Ballsy song for a band to even attempt...this original version is a stone classic
That cover is actually what lead me to the original!
Amazing original and band, amazing cover and band.
Love this track and it's been ripped off like so many of their tracks.. these guys were fucking amazing.
Alongside Jagger and Lou Reed, Richard Butler sits above the pop lyrical morass, delivering his message in metaphor and beautiful prose.
GOD LUV THE FURS!
This is one of the most delicious sounds from deep memory.
And to think I spent the last 3 years thinking this was a Jawbreaker song
The first song by The P F I ever heard. I loved it , still do,
Best!
Furs awesome...
Definitely the one of the bestest fucking kick arse rock tunes ever. Saw them in Liverpool back in the day, marvellous 😏👍🤟
Those horns melt me
So good ...🙏😉
Kinda punk rock but more romantic
Jammed in Chicago's Aragon Ballroom last night don't believe they played this great one they played India etc..
Holy crap... the first 30 seconds of Tim's bass... sounds like The Cult was "inspired" on on their great song, "Spiritwalker". Damn. Hope it wasn't straight up copying, as I love The Cult, especially before they went arena rock. [love some of that, too!]

Anyone else first hear this song by Jawbreaker covering it?
This is the first day of the rest of your life now that you have heard this band
